One very common question sent to me by readers is this:  “WHY hasn’t President Trump fired the whole bunch –- Sessions, Rosenstein and Mueller???”  (I’m including plenty of punctuation because those comments typically have that.)  And yes, readers, you are right about about all those people needing to go.  Sessions, by recusing himself from anything “Russia” --- and, it seems, just about everything else in his job description --- has rendered himself worthless in his position as attorney general.  Rosenstein has apparently given Mueller unlimited power to investigate anyone for anything using any tactics.  He actually signed off on the last renewal of the warrant application that misled the FISA judges who granted permission for the FBI to spy on Trump associates.  And he’s in the untenable position of being a potential witness in a case that he himself is supervising.  As for Mueller, he’s obviously on a highly partisan fishing expedition that will destroy as many lives as necessary to catch the big fish.

There are two ways Mueller, with no evidence of crimes, can still land his fish.  One way is through the courts –- even going after people for activities that AREN’T CRIMES –- to be followed by the report he’ll write to offer some pretense for impeachment.  The other way hasn’t been talked about much but needs to be, and that’s for Mueller to use himself as bait.  Let me explain...

I had a slap-to-the-forehead moment after seeing a headline on The Drudge Report that said, “Dems worried Mueller getting fired” and going to the story.  The link took me to the NBC News website and a story called “In Case Of Mueller Firing, Break Glass:  Democrats prep an emergency plan.”  But this story isn’t about Democrats being worried that Trump will fire Mueller.  On the contrary, I got the impression that the Democrats are hoping and praying (the ones who pray) that Trump will fire Mueller, or Rosenstein, or pardon key witnesses.  In fact, they’ve worked up a detailed plan ready to go the minute he does it.

The authors of the piece interviewed nearly a dozen lawmakers, congressional aides, Democratic operatives and attorneys who were involved in the planning.  The first step, to be accomplished immediately, would be to prevent any special counsel documents from being destroyed or the team disbanded.  Senate Democrats would immediately demand a floor bill to protect Mueller and his materials.  Rank-and-file Democrats in both the House and Senate would immediately contact everyone on a list they’ve already put together of Republicans they consider to be sympathetic, some of whom, according to this article, have said privately they would act if Trump interfered in the investigation.

MoveOn.org has already organized and is ready to mobilize 933 rallies in predetermined locations, from big cities like Los Angeles to smaller towns like Bismark, North Dakota.  They’ve even got sponsors!  More than 350,000 people have already RSVP’d to attend.  They’ve planned this down to the hour; if Mueller is fired by 2PM on a given day, the rallies will take place at 5PM the same day.

Democrats are hoping that Republicans will be caught up in the protest and see that Mueller’s firing is so egregious that they’ll go along.  (Um, this is where they’re wrong.  Millions of Americans would cheer if Trump started firing these people, but that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t cause huge problems for this White House.)

Documents have been drawn up for every contingency the Democrats could think of, including Trump's pardoning of Manafort and/or Cohen and the possibility of a Nixon-style “Saturday Night Massacre.”

Trump’s decision to revoke ex-CIA Director John Brennan’s top-secret security clearance has apparently signaled to Democrats that they can’t predict what he might do and so must be ready for anything at a moment’s notice.

If Trump fires Mueller or Rosenstein, the Democrats will take to the floor of both Senate and House and demand obstruction of justice hearings and a special Senate committee, similar to the Senate Watergate Committee, to pick up where Mueller left off.  Democratic groups are prepared to demand that the Senate shut down until there’s a resolution.  Some will call for impeachment proceedings.

Letters have already been drafted from House Democratic leaders demanding hearings (Mueller would be called to testify right away), IG investigations, and information from White House counsel Don McGahn and the DOJ about any communications they’d had with the President before the firing.  Demands and more demands, all ready to go.

This has all been in the works for more than a year.  A “Friday group” of Democrats meets weekly to discuss the “Russia” investigation and keep the impeachment dream alive, and another weekly meeting includes groups such as MoveOn, Public Citizen, Indivisible, Common Cause, and People For The American Way.  “Different Democrats have laid out different red lines for what actions by Trump would trigger a full-blown crisis response,” the article states.

OUR TOP STORY: Manafort and Cohen: what does it mean?

The Democrats obviously don’t care if they wreck America to bring down Trump.  It’s for love of country that Trump must not fire Mueller, Rosenstein or Sessions, no matter how much they deserve to go.  I’m reminded of a recent tweet from sleazy porn lawyer Michael Avenatti (who’s probably getting money from some of these same groups):  “We. Are. Coming.  We are going to end this dumpster fire of a presidency one way or another.”  It’s their plan that sounds like the real dumpster fire, and potentially much worse.

Governor Huckabee, Through the course of HISTORY of AMERICA I do not recall in my studies of any political attacks of an individual politician as steady and severe as those that President Trump has sustained. I am thinking that, for the nation's sake, our wise president is waiting until he has solid standing in the House and Senate to put things right.

The next 10 weeks leading up to the midterm elections are going to interesting. The Dems are going to pull out all the stops, and I mean ALL the stops, trying to keep the negative coverage at full blast in order to influence election turnout in November. Here's what I'd like to see happen: I'd like the President to continue giving speeches at rallies touting the achievements made by his administration, and I'd like to see a dearth of comments being made about the activities of Mueller and the witch hunt. Take the air away from the fire that the Dems are stoking. (I almost said Strzok-ing. But I digress). I would do everything possible to ensure that the Republicans keep control of both the House and Senate. Hopefully, that can be achieved, and if it is, first thing on November 7th I would fire Sessions, Rosenstein, Mueller, and the rest of the cabal who think it a good idea for those in one party to be able to nullify the election of someone they find unacceptable. I would also hold a press conference in which I talked directly to the American people and explained what I was doing and why I was doing it. This struggle goes to the very core of our Constitutional Republic, and it MUST be won. Lady Justice needs to be reinstated, the Justice Department needs to be restored to its correct standing, and the swamp needs to be drained big time.

It's all really sad. A verse came to mind as I was reading your article. Mike, I know this is not very Christian to say and God please forgive me, but what a bunch of evil, rotten, dirty [email protected]! Now this makes perfect sense, so what we could do is email everyone of these crooks that we the true Americans will not stand for this double standard and massive corruption of power and money the liberal Democrats stand to lose by our Presidents outstanding Presidency. We all need to speak up against this witch hunt. Thank God we (Republicans) are not like the Clintons who knock off anyone who get to close and tell all of their corrupt world.

Hillary said the following in reference to her white water scandal.
“Her partisan critics, the first lady has said, are so intoxicated by what they believe is the scent of scandal that they ignore exculpatory evidence and are impossible to satisfy; as soon as one accusation dissolves, they grasp for another line of inquiry that might embarrass her and President Clinton. Whatever mistakes she might have made, she says, were the result of naivete. If she appeared secretive or defensive, she says, it was because she overestimated the “zone of privacy” that is allowed public figures. And exacerbating her troubles, she has concluded, has been a Washington culture that “thrives on rumor, gossip and innuendo.””
Sounds like she is doing this to our President. I don't know if they will succeed. But, my GOD is bigger!

As always Mike , you articulated the problem with ease.
One very common question sent to me by readers is this: “WHY hasn’t President Trump fired the whole bunch –- Sessions, Rosenstein and Mueller???” (I’m including plenty of punctuation because those comments typically have that.)
This would be because WE DO NOT HAVE AN ADEQUATE WAY TO PUNCTUATE WHATS GOING ON AFTER WE PUT IT INTO WRITTEN FORM!

And yes, readers, you are right about about all those people needing to go. Sessions, by recusing himself from anything “Russia” --- and, it seems, just about everything else in his job description --- has rendered himself worthless in his position as attorney general.

The sad part is that WE all see it and we all know that as soon as Trump started handing out pink slips the press would scream that TRUMP WAS ENGINEERING A COVER UP!

Rosenstein has apparently given Mueller unlimited power to investigate anyone for anything using any tactics. He actually signed off on the last renewal of the warrant application that misled the FISA judges who granted permission for the FBI to spy on Trump associates.

It is this activity that troubles me most. We are all aware that the rich have one legal system. The police another. Politicians another still. and when they want to imprison someone they just do it. To hell with the constitution. to hell with rights. To hell with proof.
This is troubling in the extreme. It implies that we, the tax paying public, are nothing more than a promotion statement in someones performance report.

And he’s in the untenable position of being a potential witness in a case that he himself is supervising. As for Mueller, he’s obviously on a highly partisan fishing expedition that will destroy as many lives as necessary to catch the big fish.
Thank you for stating this as I was starting, due to the news, think I was the only one who looked at this situation in this way.
So much for a multi party system! this has become a "do it their way or get drag you into court on false charges till you're broke and they will never answer for their slander, maligning and libel".

The Chinese have offered $40M to an Elsalvador friend of mine, to purchase a piece of real estate he owns. They will probably pay much more just to acquire and assert themselves. Whatever they have to pay, as they attempt to dominate the Pacifico, they are willing and capable of paying. The price is irrelevant. The ongoing Mueller disaster compares. Whatever the price Mueller is forced to pay, he will, because the very forces which caused Eisenhower to speak, are, for the first time in jeopardy. Maintaining their power is prize, and Mueller is just the game show host being played even beyond his own understanding. Mueller is not as slick as he thinks. Behind much of all of this is a comment made nearly two decades ago. The man being interviewed was trying to put the final touches on a massive lie, when he regrettably said ‘pull it.’ Mueller is telling lies to cover lies, and it won’t fly. The secret known by many in the fbi has nothing to do with Stormy or sex....It has to do with a missile flying into the Pentagon.

You are right. It has taken on a life of its own. I believe another Snowden will arrive and blow up the whole investigation. Time is up for the corrupt. I believe Trump has people ready to go when many in FBI, CIA and Supreme Court judges will be caught up in scandal. Big league style. Trump ain’t going anywhere. Just remember how hot it seemed before Trump surprised them all and won! This reminds me of the same thing. Evil is pulling out all the stops! Buckle up and ride!!

The best way for President Trump to delegitimize all the negative contention going on all over the place, is to simply ignore it. No comments at all. Its not worthy of comment. Comments just throw fuel on the fire. Every single comment/tweet coming from the President should be positive and substantive. He has done a lot of good that most people are not even aware of.

I have to wonder where are the Christian "warriors"? I believe this is a spiritual war that can only be fought with our spiritual weapons. WE MUST PRAY for the President and his administration. God can expose and defeat whatever the enemy is planning. Thank you-Marilyn Madore, Kennebunkport, ME.

Do you suppose it’s possible, even with millions of signatures on the below petition, for Larry Klayman to be appointed as Special Counsel to Investigate the Clinton Email, Uranium One, and Fusion GPS?

Justice for all is sadly missing in Muller’s investigation.

This saddens me and makes me feel hopeless and helpless. What do our grandchildren have to look forward to if the people in congress care nothing for our country. We need to pray for President Trump daily and ask God to keep him strong and protect him. Mr. Huckabee, heaven is sounding sweeter to me as I read this kind of stuff. May God bless you and your family , and keep up the good work.

I have two concerns. The first being the Democratic Party who think that if they don't win, they are going to take the ball home, destroy the playing field, and annihilate the winners. Second, where has common sense and decency gone?

So much for a multi party system! this has become a "do it their way or get drag you into court on false charges till you're broke and they will never answer for their slander, maligning and libel".

I have always thought the top 3 layers of the FBI and the CIA should be taken out because it's like the dems are the mob and the FBI and CIA are the hit men of the fed. gov. and they have been given the green light to destory the country if it looks the dems will be destoryed.

Whatever happened to the concept of doing what’s right? They’re going to second guess & attack Trump no matter what he does. So he might as well do what’s right.

Dear Governor Huckabee-I too would like to see the President fire those in the Justice Dept. who are actually engaging in plans to overthrow a duly elected President.
