More details have come to light on something we talked about here a while back: that former FBI General Counsel James Baker thought Hillary’s use of a private server was “appalling” and “alarming” and that he “argued with others about why they thought she shouldn’t be charged.”

Investigative reporter Sara A. Carter has obtained Baker’s testimony before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, in which he said he believed her use of her own server for classified emails while she was Secretary of State was enough to secure an indictment to possibly charge her for violations of the Espionage Act, for mishandling sensitive government documents. He testified that he argued about this over “a period of time” with senior colleagues at the Bureau, including then-Director James Comey. They apparently went round and round about this.

Under questioning from Rep. John Ratcliffe of Texas, he described his experience of reviewing a classified binder that contained examples of both sensitive and highly classified materials Hillary had transmitted over her “semi-secured” server. And, yes, he was alarmed and appalled by what he saw.

When Ratcliffe asked Baker if this was what he had also told Inspector General Michael Horowitz, Baker said it was.

So why did Baker finally change his mind about charging Hillary, shortly before Comey announced that “no reasonable prosecutor” would bring the case? (Comey already had produced the draft of an exoneration in which the legal term “grossly negligent” was changed to the seemingly lighter “extremely careless.”) After a lot of back and forth, Baker’s colleagues convinced him that there was a lack of evidence to prove Clinton’s “intention” in mishandling the classified documents.

Wow, they sure must have applied a lot of pressure, because “intention” doesn’t have to be proved in such a case and surely he –- all of them –- knew this. (Numerous legal experts have come forward since that time to explain it to us non-lawyers.) Baker said he argued with them about whether or not she should face indictment until the very end.

(NOTE: This whole discussion really should have been moot, because the FBI was supposed to turn over what it had found to the Justice Department, where the attorney general, not Comey, was supposed to make the determination of whether or not to indict. The FBI was really overstepping its bounds, especially with Comey’s very public pronouncement. But I suppose in the end it hardly mattered, as no doubt “the fix was in” with AG Loretta Lynch, too.)

When Ratcliffe asked Baker if he still found Hillary’s mishandling of the classified material “appalling,” he said, “Yes.”

Recall that Comey stood at a podium in front of TV cameras and said that “no reasonable prosecutor” would bring the case against Hillary. Ratcliffe had this moment in mind when he asked Baker if he (Baker) was a reasonable prosecutor.

“Not anymore,” he answered. “I’m not a prosecutor anymore.”

Here’s the full story with more verbatim testimony. (There’s one little glitch in the story: for some reason, it describes some events as taking place in 2017 that actually occurred in 2016, when Hillary was a candidate for President. For example, Comey publicly exonerated Hillary on July 5, 2016, not 2017. But you knew that.)

How high can you pile corruption how tall is James Comey? How much corruption can you squeeze into little men like McCabe Strzok the comie Brennen and how about the weasel Rosenstein I would say 25 years to life behind bars would be a good start. If this country wants freedom pursuit of happiness and justice for ALL all of the Obama crime cartel needs to be taken off our streets and incarcerated. If we don't we will fill the very same offices with the very same criminals and our country will remain infected. The antibody for this crimial activity is take the freedom from them. They can not and will not obey the oath they sworn to take look at them how disgusting they are not an ounce of dignity left in them. The need to strip away pensions security and place a large percentage of their income in fines has never been greater and incarcerate them. Set the penalty high enough so you can possibly get decent do i dare say honest people to run our agencies. The People want a country that runs on true Justice. This is what I believe happened:
The then Attorney General, Lynch, appointed by Obama and loyal to Obama and Hillary, having met with Bill Clinton on that tarmac, have decided they won't indict Hillary. This is something Obama must have asked for. So, she meets or speaks with James Comey, telling him of the need for him to take matters into his hands, citing issues of conflict in DOJ leadership as his reason. They didn't want to be the ones to make the announcement Comey made. But they were privy to James Comey making that announcement. They wanted him to, for political reasons.

I bet you, this may be true.

Comey did not want to indict Hillary, because he, like all the other dimbulbs in Washington DC believed Hillary would win the election (by hook or crook), and he was well aware of her famous vincdictiveness. Keeping his job was more important to him than protecting the US, which is more than enough reason for President Trump to fire him. Now, like all the other rats on the sinking ship that is the SS Cesspool (which they like to call the deep state), he is fighting to get off the ship before it goes down. I hope his life raft sinks and the sharks get him.

What we have now is not working Comey has left a brown stain on the FBI!!!! Thanks Jim I will pay fora prison bed that is custom made for you NOT

I began my engineering career with Thiokol Chemical Corporation (Minuteman ICBM, space booster, etc.) during the cold war years and indeed was required to have certain levels of security clearance. But not as high as Ms. Clinton. Had I been so cavalier about classified information, this would be written from Leavenworth rather than retirement in Arkansas. For one, I am tired of the double standard. Let's clean up that mess.

Do you believe Hilary will ever be punished for her crimes? Will the American people ever see justice served, especially for the heinous crime of Benghazi?

It would be most interesting to know what forces caused Baker to give in. I suspect that it was the same force that caused Loretta Lynch to go along with the scheme to let Hillary skate. Of course, the real truth may never be known, while Obama, Bill, Hillary and Comey run free! Some lesser players may see justice, but the 5 mentioned covered themselves beyond discovery! (Certainly beyond prosecution!)

I grieve for my country as I watch it deteriorate. We are truly breaking apart without a shot being fired. Bernie's 1, 2, thru 26?? Most all seeking to turn US into another Socialist disaster. As rough and crude as he is, I thank God for our President. Just pray that he can stand against these morons and the spiritual forces controlling them. Repent America and PRAY!!!!

"same shit, different day" and the rinos do NOTHING about it!!! And only because the rinos are as corrupt as the jackasses, the federal bureau of incontinence and the department of injustice. Our government is getting to be as corrupt as a third world nation and the rinos are allowing it to happen!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe that all the evidence still coming out, but yet not one indictment for anyone
involved! Hillary Clinton is quilty but so is Comey,McCabe,Brennan,Obama,Rosenstein,Strzok and
Page! I'm almost sure these crooked FBI agents will never see the inside of a jail cell, But neither
will Hilary Clinton! But if all the above were Republicans, everyone of them would already be
serving time in prison. maybe all the above are afraid of the Clinton Cartel!
