If the US House isn’t giving Americans a wake-up call on the dangers of entrusting today’s Democrats with any power over their lives, they should take a look at New Mexico, where I imagine voters are experiencing a serious case of buyer’s remorse.  Democratic Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, who has seldom met a far-left hot button issue she doesn’t support, has been in office for all of four months.  Already, she’s denied there’s a crisis at the border and withdrawn the state National Guard troops, leaving communities overwhelmed with a flood of illegal migrants, she’s under fire from Colorado for busing migrants there, and she’s demanding federal aid to deal with the migrant crisis she previously called a “charade.”

https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/nm-gov-pulled-natl-guard-border-now-begging-help-deal-illegals/

And now, the latest leftist transformation of New Mexico: she’s signed onto a state-level version of the “Green New Deal” which mandates the state get 100% of its energy from renewable sources.  This is now the left hopes to get around Congress’ aversion to this insane bill: by forcing it onto the people blue state-by-blue state.

https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/leftists-now-pushing-gnd-state-level-just-got-1st-victory/

Since 100% renewable energy is impossible, what this really means is crippling the state’s energy industries and destroying jobs, sticking citizens with skyrocketing power bills, and enriching “green energy” companies through crony capitalism at taxpayer expense.

Oh, and did I mention the Governor has approved a big pay raise for her Cabinet and agency heads?

I feel sorry for the people of New Mexico, but I hope they’ve learned their lesson.  Maybe the next time they go to the polls, they won’t say, “Thank you, sir, may I have another?” and fill in the “D” circles again.  In the meantime, the rest of America can look at states like New Mexico, California, New York and Washington and feel relief that as bad as the impeachment-crazed Democrats who’ve taken over the House are, it could be worse.  If they weren’t completely obsessed with attacking Trump 24/7, they might actually pass some of their agenda.

Rural Colorado is also suffering from "buyers remorse". The first gay governor, Polis, and the newly elected democrat controlled house and senate has reversed Colorado and is "full speed ahead" to become Califorado. The democrat controlled congress and governor have reversed Colorado voters on so many issues that we must turn to recalling them but it takes a lot of time and money to do that. The governor cannot be recalled until July but one house seat has already been challenged with recall which resulted in her resignation in lieu of recall. That may bring about an appointment in order to circumvent the voters once again. A lot of rural Colorado is tired of Denver / Boulder running roughshod over us! Please join us in prayer that the rural Colorado voters can get their voice back!

She is doing absolutely nothing to improve our economy, bringing in new business, keeping our citizens safe! She needs to be removed from office. Our state legislators need to wake up!

NM will continue along the landslide of stupid because few, if any, can survive an election without the D by their name. NM ranks at the top of the list of all things bad and at the bottom for all things good! The culture in this State thrives on entitlements and the only thing that will change that is splitting it between TX, AZ and TX. Really sad because it is a pretty place to live. Just the idiots who govern it make it less than desirable.

It gets confusing--there are things that congress pass that are nationwide (or worse, that EPA, which can't make laws, but does) and, too bad, so sad if whatever was passed doesn't work for any place except maybe a couple of states or a couple of big cities. Yet, here we see where states are passing their own laws about things like abortion, sanctuary cities, refusal to allow law enforcement do their sworn duty (regarding illegals, and release of those illegals being released from custody and ICE not notified.) How come we can't do that with a lot of other things? Matters like the environment, same-sex marriage, abortion, especially education and probably a whole lot of other things should be left up to each state. Maybe they can't impeach a governor there--but could they RECALL her? At the least the red and the blue voters hopefully will see to it that she doesn't get another term. And, does all this mean that the state legislature is comprised of leftist/socialists also? If not, seems they could stand up to her.

This "thing" in the Round House in Santa Fe, NM got there illegally, just like the illegals it's bringing in for it's future illegal votes for it's ill-gotten pet projects on all the backs of the citizens of New Mexico. We retired here 20 yrs ago because we could not afford CA or AZ anymore. Looks like now we need to restock our dwindling supply of vaseline. There is a law here in New Mexico against impeaching the governor. I have no idea what moron passed that; must have been Bill Richardson (prev. nm gov) who is also a crook and did considerable damage to NM. Here's their sign!

Now if only I could get a patent on all of that/

I did not vote for this person! She was voted in by a majority of northern New Mexicans. I love my state. She is doing absolutely nothing to improve our economy, bringing in new business, keeping our citizens safe! We as a state have the dubious honor of being the most dangerous state in the Union, our education system needs a major overhaul. These are just a few problems that need to be addressed.

I was raised in NM, but will never live in the state again because of their politics!
    Terriable!

Way too many Hispanic Catholics who throughout generations of family members Automatically vote Democrat, without researching the issues, and hypocrisy of their votes. They feel Democrats represent the blue collar, middle class worker, and that Republicans favor the wealthy. This attitude has to change.

I did not vote for this mess of a governor. She is destroying our state in record time! I hate seeing the chaos she has caused, however...I do agree that hopefully her voters have learned their lesson. It sure seems that way on her twitter. She is an embarrassment to our state, but we can only hope this will wake up a lot of Dems to vote red in 2020.

I have solved part of their problem with renewable energy if they can get a bovine to stand still long enough to rig a harness up to strap onto said bovines rump to collect their poots into a canister and then release said poots into an electrical generator of some sort they could achieve green energy. Now if only I could get a patent on all of that/

    Dear Mike,
First off, I didn’t vote for her.
The beautiful Land of Enchantment will not be enchanting very much longer with her as Governor.
I could go on and on about all the negative things she has done and wants to do, but I won’t. She’s gotten enough attention.
I want people that are reading this article to pray for us. The rural people, the farmers, ranchers, miners, oil field workers. We love this state. We are proud of its culture and history.

The people of New Mexico has had a bad habit of electing liberal Democrats for a long time. I don’t think they will learn their lesson as you’ve suggested.

Well, they are circulating petitions with about 80,000 signers for her recall. That's a significant number in NM.

If NM had the equivalent of the Electoral College, we wouldn't be in this fix. Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Las Cruces, Los Alamos house the liberals.... The farmers, ranchers, oil folks, lumber jacks, they are the ones who bring revenue to the state, yet they are disrespected. MLG has had scandal follow her since her early days in politics. Public record. Media didn't warn anyone. So sad.
