Latest effort to attack Trump staffers by weaponizing the legal system: claim that it's a violation of the Hatch Act for a federal official to exercise her First Amendment right to say things that are demonstrably true.

https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/breaking-white-house-fires-back-kellyanne-attacked-trumped-outrageous-charges/

This is a no-brainer tactic for Washington Democrats since there's no downside for them in making it illegal for federal officials to be honest.  But they might want to think twice before accusing Kellyanne Conway of trying to illegally influence elections just  by pointing out what Democrats actually say, do and are.  They should remember that their last Presidential candidate was Hillary "Fusion GPS/$10 million Russian Dossier/Bleached private email server" Clinton.  Are they really sure they want to start demanding strict enforcement of laws governing federal officials?

Yet another update to the fast-moving Pinterest pro-abortion bias/ censorship story:

First, Twitter got into the truth-smothering act by suspending Project Veritas for reporting the story.  Now, YouTube (owned by Google) has censored the video of the Pinterest employee who blew the whistle on the company's bias.

https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/youtube-removes-video-pinterest-insider-exposing-pro-life-censorship-report/

Fortunately, you can still get the story at Fox News' site:

https://video.foxnews.com/v/6047650611001/#sp=show-clips

And just in case the tech titans insist on continuing to ramp up this game of "I dare you to bust us up and regulate us as public utilities," I'll remind you again that you can tell Twitter to go suck eggs and still follow me on the pro-free speech site www.Parler.com at @MikeHuckabee.

I reported earlier that Joe Biden claimed that during the Obama/Biden Administration, “For eight years, there wasn’t one single hint of a scandal or a lie.”  Then I linked to an article listing the top 10 Obama scandals and lies.

https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/biden-claims-no-hint-scandal-lie-obama-administration

Well, to be fair and balanced, here's someone who disagrees.  He also has a list of the top 10 Obama scandals and lies, and only repeats a few of the ones cited above.  Also, lest we forget, his #1 is shaping up to be the biggest political scandal in American history.

https://pjmedia.com/trending/biden-claims-there-wasnt-a-hint-of-a-scandal-during-the-obama-biden-administration-here-are-ten/

If you can think of more, feel free to add them in the comments.  We'll see if we can get it up to the top 100 scandals and lies in "the only scandal-and-lie-free Administration ever."

I told you yesterday about the social media site Pinterest blocking the pro-life group Live Action.  In just 24 hours, that story has taken some wild turns that could have major repercussions.

Deanna Fisher at the Victory Girls’ blog does a good job of recapping what’s happened so far, and how the censorship of conservative and pro-life voices has ramped up very quickly.

https://victorygirlsblog.com/tech-company-platforms-move-into-censorship/

As this article at RedState.com reports, Pinterest is now justifying its blocking of Live Action by claiming that it distributes harmful medical misinformation (not true: all the info on Live Action's site about abortion is written and/or reviewed by medical doctors) and pushes anti-vaccination messages (only in that they oppose harvesting fetal body parts for vaccine development, which is also the official Trump Administration policy).

https://www.redstate.com/streiff/2019/06/12/twitter-suspends-project-veritas-revealing-pinterest-blocked-pro-life-website/

But the big news is that Twitter jumped into this rumble and temporarily suspended Project Veritas’ account for tweeting information about the attack on Live Action leaked by a Pinterest whistleblower.  That wasn’t “misinformation,” it was truth that the people behind leftist, pro-abortion social media sites don’t want you to know.  As Project Veritas’ James O’Keefe put it, “Twitter has decided that investigative journalism is in violation of their terms of service.”  Although I bet that if it was a negative story about Trump leaked by an alleged White House insider, it wouldn’t be a Twitter TOS violation, it would be a “trending” story.

Between this story and the recent firings of Google employees for the crime of being conservative while working in Silicon Valley, some tech world insiders who are fed up with quietly suffering the tyranny of their social justice warrior co-workers are standing up and speaking out.  The latest is former Pinterest engineer Eric Cochran, who appeared on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show last night to accuse Pinterest of having a strong anti-Christian, anti-pro-life bias, and to call on current and former employees who are fed up to speak out.  Here’s the video of that interview:

https://video.foxnews.com/v/6047650611001/#sp=show-clips

I’ve written before that as a conservative with the usual aversion to government regulation of business, I’m reticent to wield federal power to bust these private corporations.  But the fact is, these companies (Google, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.) have become the modern-day version of the public square.  We don’t allow the company that makes soap boxes to decide who gets to stand on them and talk.  (The Red State article above makes a similar argument.)

There’s currently a debate in Republican circles about whether it’s a betrayal of conservative principles to call for government regulation to reign in the blatant leftwing bias of the tech giants.  But I fear that those on the right who oppose any regulation don’t understand that they are dealing with people who have amassed great power over the public flow of information, and if left unchecked, they’ll make sure it's impossible even to discuss “conservative principles.”

To show that even the staunchest conservative has had enough of the Silicon Valley socialist censors and is ready to trust-bust them with a sledge hammer, here is Kurt Schlichter’s latest article on that very subject.  It’s filled with his usual entertainingly blunt turns of phrase, plus a clear explanation for why action against Big Tech companies is no more a betrayal of conservative principles than was forcing racist store owners to serve blacks and Jews.  Best of all, since he is an attorney, he lays out a plan for how to go about restoring free speech to the Internet without having to create a massive government regulatory bureaucracy.  It would only take a few simple law changes, enforced by the threat of lawsuits.

https://townhall.com/columnists/kurtschlichter/2019/06/13/conservative-principles-do-not-require-us-to-roll-over-for-big-tech-n2547979

Finally, with Twitter deciding that simply reporting news that's inconvenient to the left is a violation of their policies, this might be a great time to remind you that I'm also now on www.Parler.com at @MikeHuckabee. It's the new Twitter-like site that protects free speech, and you can sign up for free and follow me there, too.  Or maybe I should say, it's the NEXT Twitter-like site.

When I say the Left wants you silent, suppressed and bending at their will -- I’m not exaggerating.

    GoFundMe, PayPal, MasterCard.

It doesn’t matter who you are or what you believe. If you are for America, free speech, gun rights or secured borders, they will use every tool at their disposal to shut you up.

Paula, I wish it was hyperbole. But it’s not.

Because it’s not about me, and it’s not about my Freedom Center.

It’s about you, your children, their children, and the America we leave them.

Google Maps anti-conservative screeners strikes again!! If you google my home address (a rural farm) you will get an old aerial photo- just days ago you would have gotten the most recent photo which shows “Trump” mowed in my field, clearly visible from the air as you fly into the BMI airport from the Southeast!! Wonder who made the decision to go back to the old version??

Thank you for raising a strong Christian daughter. I don’t see how she stood it but she did a great job. I don’t see how anyone in Trump administration stands it. I have never seen evil so alive. I pray for Sarah and whatever she chooses to do. God bless her.
