MUST-READ FOR THE LATE VOTERS
This is an excellent article to read and ponder as you’re standing in line today to vote to reelect President Trump and put Congress back in the hands of Republicans (i.e., the adults.) It’s a reminder of all the threats of violence and civil unrest, ballot chicanery and legal warfare that the Democrats have engaged in, and how their Renfields in the media tried to convince you that the “rightwing media” were engaging in hysterical disinformation when they sounded alarms over it by quoting the exact words coming from the left.
We’ve been told that if we don’t want cities burned, the government shut down and Trump supporters targeted for assault, then the only “acceptable” outcome is a Biden landslide. Well, we are Americans, and we can’t be bullied and intimidated by a relative handful of radical loudmouths into handing over our Constitutional rights. The best way to respond to their refusal to accept any result but a Biden win is to drown them in a red wave and crush them under a Trump landslide. And if they dare to try staging violence in the streets, then arrest them and prosecute them to the full extent of the law.
Genuine peaceful protest is protected by the First Amendment, and I respect their First Amendment rights even after they’ve tried to take away mine – although I think there’s something deeply un-American about protesting the results of a free and fair election, particularly while claiming that it’s the other side that’s a threat to democracy. But even Joe Biden recently said that rioting is not peaceful protest (nice job of finally stating the obvious, Joe), and after four years of their never-ending tantrums, Americans have had enough of it. Today is the day when they go into the privacy of the voting booths and symbolically tell these spoiled brats, "Shut up and go to your room!"
I predicted months ago that Trump would be reelected, and I stand by that. I now predict that if the left tries making good on their threats of violence, all it will take to end it is for the National Guard to round the first wave up and make them face stiff prison time. Their followers will swiftly realize that playing civil war is no fun when the other side starts fighting back and they face actual consequences. I expect they’ll find other things to do with their abundant free time. Then maybe we can get back to the great American tradition of “The people have spoken, now let’s all come together and move on.” That will be yet another big step toward making America great again.
RESPONSE TO A READER
In response to the story about Hillary Clinton becoming a New York elector so she could vote against Trump and my suggestion that it was another incentive for New Yorkers to vote for Trump, just to force her to vote for him, reader Frank E. Block Jr. wrote, “No, if Trump wins then a completely different slate of Republican electors will cast votes for Trump.”
True, but the image of a revenge-crazed Hillary being forced by a red wave to vote for Trump was just too heartwarming to resist.
GOOD ECONOMIC NEWS
One more reason to get to the polls and vote to keep Trump in and Biden out: Monday, the ISM Manufacturing Survey reported that in October, new orders for manufactured goods jumped to their highest level in 17 years. Orders are 3.4% higher than before the pandemic struck. With inventories low, that means demand will continue for some time, driving hiring and higher wages. Looks as if the strong Trump economy is shaking off the virus hit and giving us that V-shaped recovery we were hoping for.
But as noted at the link from The Conservative Treehouse, the media can never report good news that might benefit Trump without trying to make it sound like bad news. But they’re so transparent about it, it’s hilarious. It’s as if they’re not even trying to come up with valid objections anymore, they’re just sighing gloomily, like Winnie the Pooh’s depressed donkey pal, Eeyore. Check out this headline from Reuters:
“U.S. Manufacturing Near Two-Year High; Road Ahead Difficult.”
For media outlets that think their job is to elect Biden and the Democrats, it probably will be a rough road ahead. But for the rest of us, it will only be rough if Reuters succeeds.
WORTHY POLL
Finally, a poll that might actually be worth sinking your teeth into: In Lochel’s Bakery’s “cookie poll” in Hatboro, Pennsylvania, Trump cookies are outselling Biden cookies 6-1, with people driving from as far away as Staten Island to buy Trump cookies. On the other hand, maybe Biden supporters just aren’t buying cookies because they can’t eat them through their masks.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
From Sarah Hoyt at Instapundit: “Seriously, guys, even if some station calls the election before you vote: Vote for Trump! Forget about his manners; stop stomping your foot about how crass he is; and for the love of Heaven, stop holding your nose up high and pretending you’re too good for this: a vote for Trump is a vote for the constitutional republic…a Republic, if you can keep it!”
