Today's Commentary --- Witnesses aren't saying what Mueller wants to hear -- Giving Tuesday -- Who are you going to believe? -- One more election -- The Baltic Experience 2019 -- Dangerous toys list -- Trump sends in the navy -- Evening Edition - Daily Verse

Special counsel Robert Mueller and his team, in their attempts to “flip” witnesses and get testimony that could damage President Trump, seem to be finding themselves stymied in that effort. Three of their subjects just aren’t saying what they want to hear.

First, there’s conservative author Jerome Corsi, who said Monday that he’s turning down a deal to plead guilty to perjury. “The American people have got to understand, we have a criminal Department of Justice,” he said on One America News. “And they are taking citizens --- I’ve never committed a crime in my life. I’m 72 years old...[I could] die in prison but I will not lie to say that I didn’t tell the truth to the special counsel.” He appeared genuinely shaken.

“They can put me in prison for the rest of my life,” he told CNN. “I am not going to sign a lie.” He said on NBC that he “forgot” to tell Mueller certain things. “They want me to say I willfully lied. I did not willfully lie to the special counsel. I will not lie to save my life. I’d rather sit in prison and rot for as long as these thugs want me to.”

Giving Tuesday

By Mike Huckabee

Today is Giving Tuesday, when people are encouraged to make holiday donations to their favorite charities.  There are various matching grants, including $7 million from Facebook for people who donate via Facebook.  Just go to your cause’s Facebook page or website, and you’ll probably find a link to give.  For instance, here’s a list of people who have set up Giving Tuesday fundraisers on Facebook for my favorite organization, Samaritan’s Purse:

Of course, there are many others.  Just do a search for causes you support.  And to learn more about Giving Tuesday, you can visit their website:

Who are you going to believe?

By Mike Huckabee

Who are you going to believe, liberals or your lying eyes?  Benny Johnson at the Daily Caller helpfully added video of the rock-throwing migrants trying to storm our border to the smug lectures of Barack Obama and CNN’s Jim Acosta that these were just poor women and children thousands of miles away and not in any way an “invasion.”  I don’t think this is how the people who wanted photos of migrants being tear gassed thought that those images were going to be used.

This wild story about federal agent's misconduct makes a point

By Mike Huckabee

As we wait and wonder what eventually will happen with the various investigations into FBI misconduct –- in both their protection of Hillary Clinton and their surveilling of the Trump campaign –- here’s another story of how the secret activities of federal agents can go horribly wrong.

The Houston Chronicle ran a stunning story on Friday about Leatrice Malika De Bruhl-Daniels, a 45-year-old career officer with impeccable credentials, having worked at the FBI as an investigative specialist and then spending eight years as a special agent with NCIS, the U.S. Naval Criminal Investigative Service.  NCIS protects Navy and Marine Corps secrets and handles criminal, intelligence and terrorist investigations in ports around the world.  But De Bruhl-Daniels is charged with doing just the opposite --- she ‘s alleged to have tipped off her new boyfriend, who was under investigation at the time as a suspected terrorist, that he was being surveilled.

The Baltic Experience 2019

By Mike Huckabee

I am thrilled to announce an unforgettable trip to the Baltics for the summer of 2019! After many years of the Israel Experiences and our most recent trip the Mediterranean Experience cruise, we are bringing you another phenomenal cruise, the Baltic Experience! This all-inclusive cruise will feature some of the most beautiful places in the Baltic Sea and we will get to travel to and absorb these destinations aboard a luxury cruise ship from the Azamara Cruise line. If you have traveled with us before, you already know that all-inclusive means exactly that and there are no surprises along the way. The Baltic Experience will be no different. And when the weather is often unbearably hot throughout most of the US in August, we will be enjoying the cool and delightful weather that makes travel in the Baltic region perfect. Once again we have the entire ship and will fill our time on board with spectacular entertainment and special guests. In addition to the cruise we have multiple pre and post cruise offerings you can choose from to extend your trip. Our last cruise sold out in record time so we encourage you to get your cabin secured soon. We look forward to traveling with you soon and as always we will work tirelessly and do everything in our control to bring you The Greatest Trip.

Dangerous toys list

By Mike Huckabee

As you’re frantically shopping for the toys on your kids’ Christmas lists, you might want to check out the Annual Safe Shopping Guide, a report by the Illinois Attorney General’s office listing the most dangerous toys and those that have been recalled.  Granted, some of these don’t sound all that dangerous (I guess you can put your eye out with a balloon, but if that’s what they consider dangerous, I wonder how those of us who grew up with BB guns, Black Cat firecrackers, metal toy trucks and fishing hooks ever survived to our ripe ages.)

But I do concur with them including Internet-connected toys that can spy on your home on the “dangerous” list.  And I agree with their claim that excessively loud toys can be dangerous.  Not for the reason they cite (they might harm children’s hearing), but because they might hurt grandpa’s foot when he stomps them.

Trump sends in the navy

By Mike Huckabee

Here’s a story so unusual, you’d think it would be making bigger news: Horribly racist nation whose leader doesn’t care about suffering people in Central and South America (according to leftists) sends a Navy ship as a floating hospital to treat the victims of Venezuela’s crumbling socialist health care system.

It makes one wonder why so many liberals think the solution to this problem is not only to import the entire population of Venezuela to America, but also to import their failed economic and health care systems.  Then again, they flee failed blue states for prosperous red states, then vote for the same policies they just fled – and they saw Rudy Giuliani perform a miracle in New York City, then elected Bill DeBlasio to undo it – so spotting “cause and effect” doesn’t appear to be their strong suit.

Mike, I wait anxiously every day for your emails! Thank you!

A little off the subject, but can you comment on the plight of Seal Team 2? Also, is the UAP Warrior Fund a worthy charity?

I like contributing to worthy conservative charities, but sometimes it's hard to pick the most deserving. Wish I could give to all of them.

Thank you for all you do!
