The investigation into the “Crossfire Hurricane” surveillance of the Trump campaign and presidency has continued unabated while the media are focused on COVID-19. Nothing like a pandemic to distract from a hurricane.

Of course, the mainstream media would be doing their best to ignore these findings, anyway, but at least right now they have a convenient excuse. Still, the leading investigative reporters we’ve counted on --- John Solomon, Jeff Carlson, Lee Smith and others --- are on the case, and there’s plenty to report, especially after the document “dump” last Friday that confirmed what they’ve been saying all along. In this instance, it was in the form of newly unredacted footnotes from Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report on the FBI’s handling of its FISA applications to spy on Trump associates.

These revelations absolutely undercut any claim that the FBI had a legitimate reason to investigate the Trump team. That investigation, handled by the top echelon of the FBI rather than out of a field office as would have been the usual procedure, was a sham from the beginning, and they had to know that.

Many people are asking about those coronavirus rescue/stimulus payments, and who will receive how much and when. This is the most thorough article we’ve seen so far in terms of answering all the questions for every conceivable situation.

How to set up an on-line Toilet Paper Alert, so you can be notified immediately when a local store gets toilet paper, back in stock. FYI: you can also do it for other hard-to-find items. I just love calling it a “Toilet Paper Alert.”

No wonder the World Health Organization is so hostile to Taiwan. The WHO would obviously like us all to ignore the fact that Taiwan reports that they emailed the WHO back in December to warn about a new disease that had emerged in China and ask for more information, and the organization ignored it. Had they acted faster (or at all) on Taiwan’s heads-up, there might not have been a COVID-19 (Chinese) coronavirus pandemic.

Now, the WHO is facing multinational, bipartisan demands that it accept Taiwan as a member (providing they would want to be a member at this point). That, of course, would enrage China. The correct response to China’s rage would be “Who cares?” although I would also accept “Hard cheese” and “Tough toenails.”

I know Washington wants to stimulate the economy, but this may be taking it too far: a volunteer firefighter in Indiana who was awaiting his stimulus payment checked his ATM receipt and it showed that his bank account balance was now $8.2 million. Fortunately, he’s honest, so he called the bank to report the mistake. But by the time they could check it, it had already been corrected.

Since Joe Biden is now adopting so much of Bernie Sanders’ platform, I expect this will be next: everybody gets to be a millionaire! It reminds me of an old episode of “The Simpsons” from the 1990s, where Bart and Lisa take a job under their grandpa’s name. When they ask if he didn’t wonder why he was suddenly getting checks for doing nothing, he replied, “I thought it was because the Democrats were back in power.”

Bible Verse of the Day (KJV)

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
