So, will hand-picked judge make FBI release affidavit?

The White House still won’t comment on last Monday’s raid on Mar-A-Lago. President Biden was quickly spirited away on vacation, and the unfortunate spokesperson left behind refuses to answer any questions. But it’s easy to see why. If Biden had anything to do with this action against a former President and likely 2024 election opponent, or even knew about it and didn’t stop it, that would certainly be an impeachable offense.

Of course, it’s ridiculous to believe the White House didn’t know about something this consequential. But if anyone can sound convincing saying he doesn’t know anything, it’s Biden.

Consider that Trump was impeached for even mentioning towards the end of a phone call to Ukrainian President Zelenskyy that he might want to look into what Hunter Biden was up to and letting him know Biden had bragged about "stopping the prosecution."  A so-called whistleblower, later identified as Eric Ciaramella, wrote up a complaint greatly mischaracterizing the call. Fortunately, Trump was able to clarify what did and did not happen on that call by releasing the transcript. (Hey, the President can declassify documents, remember?) Then as now, transparency is the best option when one is telling the truth, and that’s why Trump wants the affidavit for the raid released and the ‘Justice’ Department doesn’t.

Alan Dershowitz, appearing Tuesday with Sean Hannity, said there's a principle he follows: “If there’s a dispute, and one side wants the truth to come out, and the other side says, ‘No, we DON’T want the truth to come out,’ always believe the person who wants the truth to come out. That’s the person who’s telling the truth.” Dershowitz also said that sensitive information --- names of sources, for example --- can still be redacted. And let’s hope the Trump people just release the security video to the public and let us see what happened.

Dershowitz said that to get a search warrant for a safe, “you have to have very particular evidence of what was in the safe.” What did they think was in there? (Of course, we all know what was there: nothing!)  And what did they think was in Melania’s closet? Seeing the affidavit is essential.

Dershowitz doesn’t think Trump will be indicted. For the appointee of a current President to indict a future presidential opponent, “you need Nixon-type crimes,” he said. “Smoking guns. You need absolute corruption.” He doesn’t think it can be over “what Hillary Clinton did and what Sandy Berger did.”

“The optics here are ugly,” legal analyst Gregg Jarrett said Tuesday, “and Americans deserve a greater measure of truth.” As for putting Trump on trial in a DC court, he said, “You could prove Christmas occurred in July in a DC court, but it wouldn’t hold up on appeal.”

A hearing is scheduled for Thursday on whether or not the affidavit will be made public. Trump attorney Alina Habba appeared with host Sean Duffy on FOX NEWS Tuesday evening to talk about the affidavit, and she said she does not expect it to be unsealed. “Don’t forget, Judge Reinhart is the same magistrate judge that recused himself from my Hillary case about a month ago,” she said, referring to the lawsuit Trump has against Hillary and other Democrats over the Trump-Russia Hoax. Recall that Judge Bruce Reinhart recused himself in that case, reportedly over the issue of impartiality, and if he couldn’t be impartial on that, he had no business dealing with this. Of course, he’s also the one who was presented with the affidavit by the DOJ and signed the warrant for the raid.

“He is definitely not going to be a friendly judge, necessarily,” she said, showing her gift for understatement.

She said Trump’s team has asked for an independent “special master,” a neutral party, to go through materials and “preclude any funny business” to see what might be safe to reveal, but the DOJ has indicated they do not want that. (My question: WHY NOT?) She also said they still need to go through the documents and see what is privileged.

By now, the FBI has returned the three passports (one current, two expired) that they never should have taken in the first place. And a few commentators have done my joke about Trump being a flight risk. “I don’t know how [taking Trump’s passports] is done even in error,” Habba said. Indeed, taking someone’s passport is a big deal and normally requires a special, separate warrant. ‘Unfortunately, there are a lot of questions that are unanswered at this point,” she said, “so we’ll see what happens on Thursday.”

Here’s some bad journalism about the passport issue, from CBS News’ Norah O’Donnell:

https://nypost.com/2022/08/16/norah-odonnells-passport-tweet-not-up-to-cbs-standards-sources/?utm_campaign=nypevening

As Duffy reported, Peter Strzok tweeted a snarky attempt at humor that sounded right out of 2017: “Please oh please keep asking how you can turn down the temperature in the country. And why does he have two passports? The Russian passport, of course, is kept in a vault at Yasenevo and only swapped out at third country meets, so it can’t be that one.”

It shouldn’t surprise us that Strzok is lamely sticking to his story of Trump being in league with Russia, even though we all know it was a frame-up, and he knows we know, and we know he knows we know.

So, how can we tell that the story about “nuclear secrets” was made up after the fact? If that had been a real situation, Attorney General Merrick Garland wouldn’t have waited weeks to get those documents. But this involved “weeks of meetings between senior ‘Justice’ Department and FBI officials.” I can hear them now: “Okay, he needs to look really, really guilty.  So...do we target the home and grounds of a former and potentially future President with a land, sea and air invasion, or do we not? Think about the pros and cons, and we'll meet again closer to the election.”

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2022/08/16/report-merrick-garland-waited-weeks-approve-warrant-mar-a-lago-search/

Jonathan Turley, in his new piece “The Incredible Shrinking Merrick Garland,” accurately describes the failings of our esteemed attorney general but concludes, oddly, that the AG's problem isn’t one of politics but of personality. He just doesn’t have the personality to be attorney general.

Turley still thinks of Garland as a moderate --- never mind that virtually every decision he’s made as head of ‘Justice’ has smelled of political hackery and favored the left. He calls Garland a man of “unimpeachable integrity and ethics.” Funny he should use the word “unimpeachable,” as Garland seems eminently impeachable to me, in the literal sense.

https://jonathanturley.org/2022/08/16/the-incredibly-shrinking-merrick-garland/#more-192568

But here’s a thought: If it’s true that, as Turley says, “Garland’s judicial temperament may be ill-suited to the demands of this office,” maybe the decisions emanating from that office are really coming from his second-in-command...(drum roll)...Deputy Attorney General and former Obama attorney Lisa Monaco. As Garland shrinks in power, perhaps she grows. Here she is from January of this year, delivering “tantalizing news for those who want to see those at the highest levels brought to justice over the attempted coup,” talking about the DOJ’s “active criminal investigation into Trump fake electors coup plot.” It doesn’t get more political than that.

RELATED STORY: FBI won’t release video to resolve January 6 “pipe bomb” questions

For many months, REVOLVER NEWS has been doing some great reporting about the possible role of the FBI in the January 6 riot. Most recently, they say that “the FBI’s explanation for the January 6 pipe bombs is in fundamental conflict with a growing body of widely available facts.”

These are the bombs that were discovered in front of the DNC and RNC headquarters just before the scheduled 1 PM congressional certification of the vote. The latest problem concerning them has to do with the old-fashioned mechanical kitchen timers --- with a maximum time setting of one hour –- used on the bombs. But according to security footage, the bombs were planted at about 8 PM the evening of January 5, 17 hours before they were discovered.

As REVOLVER NEWS reports, the first timer was found near the RNC at 12:40 PM, with 20 minutes left on the timer, which would mean a detonation was timed to exactly coincide with Congress convening at 1 PM. The DNC timer also had just 20 minutes left, but the timer was stuck at that point.

So their question is, did the pipe bomber just luck into the bombs being found at the right time to create the apparently hoped-for diversion, or was it no accident that they were found when they were? Their analysis, they say, is “absolutely devastating” to the FBI”s official narrative of the attempted bombings.

https://www.revolver.news/2022/08/jan-6-pipe-bombers-mechanical-timer-detonates-fedsurrection-lie/

If the timers actually worked –- and, yes, they were real bombs with real explosives –- they would’ve gone off at about 9 PM on the 5th and would not have created a diversion for law enforcement personnel at the Capitol the next day. Ditto if they happened to be discovered earlier on the morning of the 6th. In fact, that would’ve led to evacuations and heightened security around the Capitol building. Thus, the bomber had to know his bombs would be discovered and reported to authorities shortly before 1 PM.

Since the RNC bomb was discovered at 12:40, the Capitol Police were on the scene at 12:49, which was just one minute before the first big attack at the west side of the Capitol. “In other words,” the report says, “we see nearly perfect timing to divert resources away from the breach.” A woman who lives nearby, identified as Karen Younger, said she’d found the bomb while she was on her way to do laundry. But back in February, Julie Kelly at AMERICAN GREATNESS found details that suggest yet another FBI hoax.

https://amgreatness.com/2022/02/14/the-january-6-pipe-bombs-look-like-another-fbi-hoax/

At the time she found the bomb, Younger was working as a project manager for FirstNet Authority, a company that “prioritized emergency communications during an attack or disaster.” It counted the Justice Department among its clients and had signed a $92 million contract with the FBI just a few weeks before. That might not be significant, but it’s something to be explored.

The DNC bomb was placed in plain sight in a high-traffic area. How was that bomb not discovered? It even had to evade detection by the Secret Service with bomb-sniffing dogs, as Kamala Harris was stopping by. She was in the building for two hours before the bomb was detected outside. The dogs apparently had just come down with COVID and lost their sense of smell.

For when you have time, Kelly's article goes into much more weirdness about the planting of these bombs and some absurdly on-target predictions relating to them. There’s just so much about January 6 we still don’t know, and Nancy Pelosi’s kangaroo court is too busy playing politics to even look at it.

It would be nice if the FBI would release ALL the security footage of the DNC bomber, but they won’t. Darren Beattie of REVOLVER NEWS appeared with Tucker Carlson Tuesday night to say “the FBI is withholding, hiding, concealing from the public critical footage of the pipe bomber actually planting the bomb...and the question is, why would they...hide precisely the piece of footage that would be most likely to help them get the public to catch and identify the perpetrator?”

Plus, since they’d likely suspect a Trump supporter –- a “right-wing extremist” –- to have placed these bombs, why aren’t Democrats, especially the January 6 committee, clamoring for his arrest? Something smells off, but then, that’s typical of anything involving the FBI.

Primary Results

Wyoming and Alaska held primary elections Tuesday. Here’s a link to continually updated results of the major races:

https://redstate.com/redstatestaff/2022/08/16/live-election-results-alaska-wyoming-n612897

Due to the time zones, Alaska results are still being counted as I write this. As explained at the link above, Alaska has an unusual at-large system in which the top four finishers of whichever party square off in November. So even though they did advance to the next races, it’s going to be quite a while before we know the fate of such top names as Lisa Murkowski and Sarah Palin. Not so in Wyoming…

Knowing my readers as I do, you’ll probably enjoy seeing this video clip of Donald Trump on election eve, predicting correctly that Wyoming GOP voters were going to say, “Liz Cheney…You’re FIRED!”

https://www.westernjournal.com/watch-trump-epic-message-liz-cheney-primary-polls-even-open-fired/

But they didn’t just fire her, they figuratively escorted her from the building and changed the locks behind her. Wyoming will now have someone who’ll represent Wyoming and not MSNBC.

The race was called early on, but at this writing, with 99% of the vote counted, Harriet Hageman is leading Cheney by 66.33% to Cheney’s 28.94%. Any crossover Democrat votes couldn’t prevent her from suffering a more than 2-1 loss. My only disappointment is that Hageman’s margin of victory didn’t reach three digits, but I’ll happily take it.

Incidentally, if you are trying to figure out the accuracy of polls this year, the latest poll taken 10 days ago showed Hageman’s lead at 52-30%, a 22-point gap. The actual margin was over 37 points, a 15-point margin of error.

Cheney’s concession speech continued the type of sanctimonious self-aggrandizing we’ve come to expect from her and which has so turned off Wyoming voters. Referencing the Gettysburg Address, Cheney compared herself to Abraham Lincoln, saying, "The great and original champion of our party, Abraham Lincoln, was defeated in elections for the Senate and the House before he won the most important election of all. Lincoln ultimately prevailed, he saved our union, and he defined our obligation as Americans for all of history."

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/liz-cheney-compares-herself-abraham-lincoln-resounding-defeat-wyoming-primary

Cheney said she’s “thinking about” running for President, and the media are really hawking the delusional idea of her being another Lincoln. But one commentator said she’s more likely to end up at the Lincoln Project, a disgraced organization of rabid anti-Trump grifters.

Here are some more comments on Cheney’s ouster from various pundits and political figures.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/lawmakers-pundits-react-liz-cheney-loss-wyoming-girl-bye

Charlie Kirk pointed out that with his strong endorsement of Hageman, "Trump has now defeated the Clinton, McCain, Bush, AND Cheney dynasties.” But my favorite quote may be from New York Rep. Claudia Tenney, who wrote, "Orchestrating show trials contrary to safeguards guaranteed by the Bill of Rights is not Lincolnesque. On the contrary, Cheney’s actions mirror precisely the authoritarianism our founders fought valiantly against."

Hear, hear! In fact, if you wonder why I’m so happy to see Cheney go, it’s actually not for the reasons the media claim Republicans turned on her. It’s not out of a blind loyalty to Trump or anger at her for bucking her own Party (I’ve been at odds with the national Party plenty of times myself.) It’s because I am fed up to my eyeballs with hearing her lecture us about how she’s safeguarding “our democracy,” and the Constitution and the “rule of law.”

Where I come from (the United States of America!), the Constitution and rule of law do not allow the creation of partisan, star chamber “investigative” committees selected in clear violation of the member requirements in the legislation that created them. Nor do we have show trials in which all the participants are radically biased against the defendants, the defendants have zero rights, no cross examinations or defense witnesses are allowed, and people who cite their legal right to executive privilege are handcuffed and arrested in public for maximum humiliation and threatened with prison sentences for contempt of Congress -- a charge that is routinely brushed off in DC when Democrats like Eric Holder commit it for real.

If Rep. Cheney wants a Lincoln quote, I suggest she think about “government of the people, by the people and for the people.” Not of, by and for people who forget the voters they’re in Washington to represent and instead would rather kiss up to the DC media and power players while promoting themselves.

Latest bombshell leaked by a whistleblower to Project Veritas

An internal DHS memo sent in the wake of the Mar-A-Lago raid. It lists as potential warning signs for “Domestic Violence Extremists” (i.e., domestic terrorists) people who express concerns that “government overreach” and “election fraud” are a threat to the country.

https://www.projectveritas.com/news/dhs-whistleblower-leaks-new-joint-intelligence-bulletin-on-domestic-violent/

Well, to be on the safe side, and to again reassure the Biden DHS that I have no interest in promoting violence of any sort, let me just say that I fully agree with them that government overreach and election fraud are just fantastic!

Signed into law

Tuesday, President Biden signed the “Inflation Reduction Act” into law. Except that the name is so jawdroppingly bogus that even the Dems’ lapdogs in the media can’t bring themselves to mouth it. They’ve started calling it the “Climate and Health Bill.”

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/biden-signs-739-billion-inflation-reduction-act-law-slams-gop-voting-against-tax-climate-deal

Still, Biden kept up the Orwellian language, saying this of the bill that lavishes hundreds of billions of dollars on “green” companies and initiatives while raising taxes on every American, destroying jobs and doing nothing to reduce inflation: "The American people won, and the special interests lost." If my “prize” for winning is 87,000 new IRS agents, then I’d just as soon lose, thank you.

Speaking of that equivalent of more than 87 battalions of IRS agents, Democrats are assuring us that they will only go after the wealthy and eeeevil corporations. Never mind that currently, people making less than $25,000 a year are five times more likely to be audited as everyone else. I’m sure having all those extra agents will correct that.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/irs-audit-eitc-five-times-as-likely-to-get-audited/

As for the fatuous drivel from people like NBC’s Chuck Todd that if you don’t cheat on your taxes you have nothing to fear from an audit, listen to what these Texas ranchers say they were dragged through after the IRS decided that the $7800 engine rebuild expense on their tractor was a “red flag.”

https://redstate.com/levon/2022/08/16/cattle-ranchers-audited-by-irs-give-stark-warning-to-americans-n613193

But because I hate to deliver nothing but bad news, at least here’s something we can all laugh at. Democrats are poo-pooing the paranoid nonsense that we should be concerned about the IRS buying up massive stocks of bullets and advertising for agents who are willing and able to use deadly force. But with any luck, maybe these 2017 IRS agent recruitment photos will accurately reflect the kind of applicants they’ll end up with. They might have trouble lifting a gun, much less shooting one.

https://redstate.com/bonchie/2022/08/16/irs-criminal-investigation-recruiting-pictures-will-have-you-laughing-out-loud-n613338

Bloomberg News revealed that Bill Gates secretly lobbied Sen. Joe Manchin to sway him to support the “Inflation Reduction Bill” because of all the climate change spending in it.

https://www.foxnews.com/media/bill-gates-reveals-involvement-pushing-through-climate-bill-interview-bloomberg

If that’s so important to Bill Gates, maybe he could’ve just covered it himself instead of sticking American taxpayers with the bill, along with 87,000 new IRS agents and auditors to collect it. Well, I hope Joe enjoys palling around with his rich new friend Bill because I don’t think he’s going to find a very friendly welcome back home in Coal Country.

Everyone on the planet knows biden is anti american and all his stooges are the same. One other messed up part of this administration is biden does not remember the dead military personal die some one puts them to rest and biden doesnt acknowedge they were in the military. That in itself is somewhat anti human being life to biden is worthless unless he can make a buck off it. Parents Husbands wives children friends lose a loved one the body is put to rest what biden doesnt get is the spirit the memories passion for another human being without getting a dollar from it. After internment most people pay their respect and wish everyone well and go back to their lives. Most people feel the heart ache from a while but close friends feel the heart ache long after biden doesn't embrace life like Real Americans although he has lost members he still hates Americans abortions military deaths are never recognized in public by biden the 13 in Afghanistan he was responsible for no apology the deaths on the border the death in our major cities the deaths in nursing homes due to the china virus all this death and biden does not recognize because if he can't squeeze a dollar out of it they don't matter how about the IRS employment what is the bottom line there to squeeze more dollars from Americans he has a chance to squeeze china with higher tariffs have u heard anything of the sort no it the Americans he is after dispute if you will.

Thought you'd like to know that the IRS is sitting on tax returns, average people like me submitted by paper. I mailed my return February 23, 2002. According to the IRS website, it has not been processed and I am owed a refund.

I think that since the IRS can charge interest when taxes are owed, they should have to pay interest on refunds that take longer than six weeks to process.

People blame manchin for selling out no manchin held out to get a better price for his yes vote. Manchin has always been a scum bag just like the others they mad at manchin he had outplayed 48 of the other dumber senators on the Left. I never figured manchin to hold out for the good of America’s population he just has more in his pocket beside a signing pen that Biden gave him

RE: "So, will hand-picked judge make FBI release affidavit?". Winston Chuchill was right when he said " The truth is surrounded by a bodyguard of lies ". If in fact Biden had no foreknowledge of the FBI raid on Mar-A-Lago. Then he and the White House have lost control of and authority over the entire Department of Justice. And then the DOJ has become an entity and branch of government all it's own. That said I doubt that the Democrats have come to realize that they just might "Have a Tiger by the Tail". A Tiger with a ferocious insatiable and unquenchable appetite for more and more power! Very much like many third world police states in history.
Like the German General upon his execution stated " We have become like wolves who have turned upon themselves ".

Speaking of domestic terrorism and violence: PEOPLE, LISTEN UP! There is nothing more the left would love than for anyone who could in anyway be connected to the right commit an act of violence or threaten violence. That would be another gift that keeps on giving. If you want to damage the country do something stupid. It’s okay to loot and burn on the streets of our cities but only if you are left wing or doing it in the name of racial and/or sexual equality. It’s okay to attack pregnancy support places that are against killing almost fully formed unborn babies, too. But don’t, whatever you do, sound hostile or behave hostilely if it’s for a conservative cause. Even a small incident will cause extreme pain to the country. Take care if you are rallying for a conservative candidate or cause that you are aware that the left will send in thugs to stir you up to do something stupid. You may think I am a kidding or being sarcastic but this is dead serious.

Oh yes. If I were Melania, I would take inventory to make sure none of you designer dresses where taken to grace the body of wife or agent. Of course few would fit your clothing. I would also launder all my undies and nighties and replace my cosmetics. All sheers and towels should also be changed and the bathrooms and kitchen disinfected.
