It’s hard to believe with so many contenders, but there are times when Donald Trump is his own worst enemy. He had a perfect opportunity to respond to the revelation that Twitter was colluding with Democrats to rig the 2020 election, taking orders from them to silence inconvenient speech like a waitress at a short order restaurant. Unfortunately, Trump released this statement:

"So, with the revelation of MASSIVE & WIDESPREAD FRAUD & DECEPTION in working closely with Big Tech Companies, the DNC, & the Democrat Party, do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution. Our great 'Founders' did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!"

I agree with that last line, but how could he not know that suggesting we terminate the rules in the Constitution was like handing his enemies a weapon to bash him with on a silver platter, which they also bashed him with. It played right into the “authoritarian insurrectionist” narrative they’ve been trying to gin up for years. Trump actually gave President Biden – the beneficiary of all that unconstitutional censorship of free speech – the high ground to defend the Constitution against him, and Biden’s been using the Constitution as Charmin since his first minute in office. I think in sports, they call this an “unforced error.”

This is the type of unpredictable and unnecessary media storm that has many Republicans, even Trump supporters, looking to Ron DeSantis as an alternative who might carry on Trump’s policies without the drama and baggage. That’s showing up in a new poll by WPA Intelligence, a firm used by top GOP politicians and organizations. Trump’s favorability rating among Republicans is now 70%, which sounds high but is down quite a bit from its peak.

https://redstate.com/mike_miller/2022/12/03/top-polling-firm-survey-finds-good-news-for-desantis-not-so-much-for-trump-even-among-trump-voters-n668491

Meanwhile, DeSantis’ net favorability rating is higher than Trump’s among several demographics, including Republicans (+66 to +44), Fox News viewers (+58 to +27) and even 2020 Trump voters (+69 to +54.) DeSantis also does better among all-important Independent voters, 66% of whom view Trump unfavorably. DeSantis has a net -3 favorability rating among Independents, which sounds bad until you hear that Biden is at -27 and Trump -39.

That article rightly warns that polls shouldn’t be taken too seriously, especially at this stage. But this should serve as a warning sign to Trump’s circle that Republican voters consider 2024 to be too important to risk on someone who shoots from the hip and hits his own foot. If Trump wants to know how badly some ill-chosen words can hurt you, I have two words for him to consider: “Kanye West.” Those are also two words that should never again appear on his dinner guest list.

Two thoughts on this Mike... One is the fact that; he may be stating the fact that if we allow this fraud to stand, it inevitably results in the termination of our constitutional form of government, which is very true. But I think you could take it another way... Looking at that statement in the context of the entire message, I'm wondering if he was implying that, along with the removal of the illegitimate rulers, the massive fraud could or should allow for the termination of any rules, regulations and articles established by this administration, even if they were constitutional acts? But while we debate what he really meant here, it's possible he had ever intention of making it a point of contentious debate. The fact that it is so incredibly controversial is causing everyone to want to know exactly what he said. There are people now reading and hearing his statement who would have never seen it otherwise. Could it have been, in fact, another stroke of brilliance on his part? He has no fear of "bad press." But either way, this whole debate sure got the message out there.

This is payback to her due to her wearing that dress at the gala and also from her not helping the Democrats in New York. This entire investigation was initiated by the Democratic National Reelection member who lost in the mid terms and now is a being required to commence cleaning out his office. Always remember PAYACK BACK IS A M-------F_____ to those you caused this mess you caused.

When it comes to brains that must have said Trains with Ice cream for Joe and his Administration. The person he traded for is just an WNBA Possible Star and left behind two other Americans behind and the Russians got in turn the MERCHANT OF DEATH, a renowned arms dealer with a dead hatred of Americans. I would not be surprised he has already made contacts with various terrorist units inside the United States and our various possessions and with the Soviet Allies and along the Southern border Cartels arming them to the hilt in the process.

I am tired of the blame game Trump is the problem they say. No like Pogo said, "We haven't the enemy and it is us." Truly the institutional church has opened the floodgates and invited pagan gods in. The NDAA is a trainwreck and now the nation is the USSA as the left termed it in the 196O's. God brought evil on ancient Israel because of her rejection of His Torah and prophets. The evangelical elite has done the same. Am not surprised at the growing rejection of the faith by the young! God is fully in charge but leaves us to follow Him and His rules.

"A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution," he wrote. "Our great 'Founders' did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!"
The very idea that sanctimonious members of all 3 branches of the federal government would dare say anything about this statement from Trump when they have over and over again taken actions that are completely unconstitutional is unbelievable. What Trump realizes is that the democratic republic our founders gave us no longer exists and will need to be replaced by a new government.
I agreed with this statement made by Trump. Our country is in a landslide and this administration and its fools need to be removed asap! The more information that is reveals the faster they need to go!

Mike, I agree that wasn't the best way to say it. Trump needs to get his act together and acquire some counsel with "braking authority" to reel in his impulses. But, you should NOT distort the content of his words for a misaligned meaning based on your own confusion. Trump is where he is for a reason. I stand with Trump and pray that he will wake up and get it right. The same applies to you. Bob

Contextually, could one interpret what Trump said that when elections go Unconstitutional it basically can lead to a hypothetical complete disregard of the Constitution?
