As more and more details and documents emerge relating to the investigation of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma and the famous American political names connected to it and profiting from it, it’s getting harder for the media to keep up its “Gaslight” routine and convince us that anyone who smells a rat is just a believer in wild, right-wing conspiracy theories. They’d like us to believe that the real crime is thinking that there should be an investigation when the unqualified son of the US official overseeing Ukrainian foreign aid is given a do-nothing job that pays $50,000-$83,000 a month. Well, no sale.
Monday, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsay Graham said that at this point, it’s a matter of “duty” to investigate Ukrainian corruption that reaches into US government, including the Biden family, and since the House won’t do it, he will launch an investigation in the Senate.

Graham said, “I love Joe Biden as a person, he is a really decent man, he’s had a lot of tragedy in his life, but I have a conscience very clear right now. And I have a duty. If the House is going to shut it down, the Senate is going to pick it up.” That would include asking Biden for transcripts of his phone calls with the former president of Ukraine. Graham said, “I’m not saying Joe did anything wrong, but I want to see the transcripts, and if there’s nothing there I’ll be the first one to say there’s nothing there.”
Conciliatory as that sounds, it drew an angry response from Biden, who accused Graham of being under President Trump’s thumb. He told CNN, “Lindsey is about to go down in a way that I think he’s going to regret his whole life.” That prompted Rudy Giuliani to tweet that it sounded like the threats he got when he started investigating the Mafia.

I will just point out that when Democrats demanded to see a transcript of Trump’s phone call to the President of Ukraine, he released it. Then he released the transcript of an earlier call. Then they investigated him anyway. Now, they’re claiming that asking for a transcript of Biden’s phone calls to the President of Ukraine is some sort of unprecedented moral outrage? Once again, their double standards are showing.
