What's the worst thing Obama has done?

January 18, 2017 |

Over the past eight years, whenever President Obama has announced some brilliant (in his mind) new policy initiative or shown spectacular lack of leadership at a critical time, I’ve had cause to think, “Wow. This is the worst thing he has ever done!” I’ve had this thought many times, because when it comes to bad moves, head-scratching inconsistencies and inappropriate silences, the President just keeps outdoing himself. And he’s not quite done.

Just hours before he leaves the White House, I have to wonder what else he’s going to slap the nation with as he walks out the door.

So, what do YOU consider to be the worst thing Obama has ever done? To get you thinking, here’s a list of suggestions, by no means inclusive, to consider for that distinction. Remember to take into account the many possible long-term effects...

1. His pardon of Chelsea Manning after she (then-he) leaked 700,000 classified documents to WikiLeaks, with incalculable consequences to our troops and intelligence-gathering capabilities.

2. His attempted dismantling of our health care system with the disastrous Obamacare. (I include the repeated lies he told to get the law through.)

3. His dangerous Iran policy, most notably the transfer of billions of dollars to Iran and the infamous nuclear “deal.” (Again, all the associated secrecy and lies.)

4. His role in the deterioration of race relations, when he’d been given a great opportunity to heal them.

5. His failure to respect and support our allies, most notably Israel.

6. The shame of our foreign policy in the Middle East that resulted in chaos, untold deaths and the rise of ISIS. (Of course, Hillary Clinton shares the blame for that tragedy.)

7. The approximately $20 trillion in national debt that we are left with now.

8. The threats to national security posed by essentially open borders, his enthusiastic importation of refugees and his continuing release of Gitmo prisoners.

9. His thorough politicization of the Justice Department, State Department and IRS.  Obama created a law enforcement bureaucracy that had no problem targeting conservative groups and running roughshod over religious freedom, even if it meant suing the Little Sisters Of The Poor.

10. The unbearable burden of regulation he apparently has enjoyed placing on business.

Again, wow. How to choose? Obama, so preoccupied with legacy building, has built a monument to his own failure that will endure for the ages. I’ve never been one to push “Manchurian candidate”-style conspiracy theories, but tell me, if even the most far-fetched of them had been true, might the consequences have been about the same?

So, tell me, which of the above “top ten” do you think is the worst thing Obama has ever done? I’d really like to know what you think. Just leave me a comment below. I read them!

Of course, he’s still got a few hours to go –- time to outdo himself once again.

I was DEEPLY OFFENDED the day he stood and made fun of our Holy Scripture!! He made a Catholic School cover pictures of Jesus before he would speak there. He was ANTICHRISTIAN. Even when the House and Senate voted unanimously in 2009 to send military help to intervene in the war against the Christians in Africa (where villages were being burned), he did nothing to see that it happened. Hillary told him she didn't have the time it the staff to do anything about the murdering of Christians. This was the beginning of the Christian genocide, PRIOR TO ISIS! Voice of the Martyrs was pleading for help where I read this article about Obama and Clinton in their article. No regard for the law, only their own agenda.

Hussein Obama had his own agenda as President of the United States. At no time did he hesitate to ignore prudent foreign or domestic policies that would have benefited all Americans. In a nutshell, during his tenure his greatest accomplishment was his constant, successful, attempts at reducing the value of America- its wealth: tangible and moral; America's honor and integrity; America's quality of life- especially for African Americans in the government projects; America's good will and self esteem - domestically and foreign; etc. He is a very intelligent person with a great education; therefore, he always knew what he was doing. And what this corrupt Chicago politician was doing was destroying America. His momentum remains and is seen today in the actions of the Democrat Party!

Also releasing four top level terrorists (his Muslim buddies) for one US Army deserter. Then going on live TV to look good so people will say how good and noble the President is. What an idiot ! Any REAL leader would tell ISIS if they hurt that soldier then we will castrate and let die all four of those four terrorists they want.
They would think twice about hurting our soldier.
Also Obama knew about Benghazi mess up before the election of second term. He waited and wanted to keep it quiet until AFTER THE ELECTION of the second term. So much for his promise to not lie to the American people.

Obviously, it's almost impossible to pick the worst. But, putting us so far in debt would be My answer. Forster of all, it may be our downfall. Secondly, if plunging us into poverty isn't enough. The way those trillions were spent (i.e., given to our enemies) it could destroy us that way.
Secondly, putting Clinton in a position she has no experience in. She was just used by pay to play people to give them more of what they want ($ & guns, etc) to try to destroy us and set up cells around the world.
Basically, he ruined the lives of law abiding citizens forcing expenditures on them they can't pay (i.e. insurance).
He nor his people should have had access to the white house during inaguration.

I agree with all Mikes points above, I would also like to add not since the civil war has America been so divided as it has become under the rule of obama, this separation goes far beyond the obvious that we read in the headlines the damage he has caused to the fabric of America would be imposible to fully describe by mere words its goes far beyond the obvious its almost (actually is) on a spirtual level. Dwight Eisenhower was president when I was born and never in my 62 years have I felt fearful living in America. Obama refuses to state the facts isis are terrorists. Yes as we look back obama will be known for the beginning of the end for this once great country.

    Governor Huckabee,
As a Christian I know that I am not supposed to judge. Eveyrthing O did was horrible. Even now I deplore his forcing him self back into public view. I feel certain that he is a member of the unholy trinity: me, myself, and I.

Hard to choose. I'd have to say #4. Simply because he has pitted Americans against Americans. How is anyone to feel secure if you're singled out as being a racist when you're not?

For me it was two things. One because I am a former Marine and his drawing down of our troops for me was absolutely ignorant, this risked the security of our nation and I was greatly distressed by it. I am a Pentecostal preacher as well and his seeming anti-Semitism in his refusal to stand up for Israel has been even worse. As a country who says we stand for certain things it's unfortunate when our leader does not reflect the principles our country stands for.

All of what he has done is deplorable. He has had a "shame on you America" mind set from the very beginning. His focus has been to undermine America in every way he could. I give him an "F" in leadership. I will never speak well of him.

  • Edward Ernest (Ernie) Engle

    01/24/2017 07:53 AM

Wow, what to choose. I'm sorry, but no one person, or one organization, can do all that by happenstance. It had to be, and was, a brilliant plan to destroy the United States as we know it. They only got one thing wrong; believing that they could continue their assault on the USA. They didn't plan on a candidate coming along who would start a movement that energized and mobilized the very people they thought they had beaten down to the point of simply accepting their "reformation of America ".

We are here on earth to pay attention to our God. Namely Jehovah. Those that do not are not getting away with anything. However, those that cause problems to God's own are no doubt in for it, whether in this life or the one to come. They usually don't realize it till it's too late. Pray for the Nation to return to the One and only true God.

All really bad, but maybe the Iran deal was the worst. Not worth the paper it was written on. Those leaders never to be trusted.

  • Tammy Thorpe

They are all bad and it's hard to choose, but the most dangerous is the Iran deal. If they use a nuclear weapon, the fall out of radiation can destroy the entire planet. Iran don't care who else dies as long as it's America and Israel.

Dear Governor Mike Hucabee and Team, Everything you listed as possible incorrect moves were. Trading five terrorists for a man who had obviously joined the enemy was a biggie. Blaming a video for Benghazi was horrible!! Did they place Ambassador Stephens in harms way on purpose? This has been a question that has haunted me...plus the very idea that a video that should probably be seen by everyone was blamed is terrible. We know that President Obama and Hillary were schooled in how to take over our democracy and that is what they were after. We thank God for His mercy in allowing the Trump/Pence team to be elected. We thank God for the way he uses your voice to proclaim truth. Your daughter did an awesome job during the campaign, too. Blessings on your and your family! We thank our God upon every remembrance of you!

The legalization of same sex marriage is the worst thing that has happened in the last 8 years. It undermines the family concept, it divides families and serves no moral purpose. It also encourages all the anti religious nuts that are making our country more secular and not God fearing. Sorry I didn't chose one of your examples but this one has really disrupted my entire family. Thank you!

I think the worst is Obama care. It creates another bureaucracy which didn't know what they are doing. What's more, the health insurance companies didn't reap the windfall they had hoped for.
All in all, Obama is an egotist, closet Muslim, was not in any shape qualified for the office of Comander-in-Chief. Willful disregard for anyone be considered below himself (which was the rest of us), belittling of our military and veterans, I think he was born actually before Hawaii be and a state, making him an alien and therefore ineligible for the office.

people need to know that even though he doesn't believe in it, Trump won't cancel their abortions. he said it should be up to the state. Trump never said he hates blacks; people simply believe it because ku klux klucks supported him erroneously. Trump never said persecute gays; he left gay marriages up to the state. Sadly, the useful idiots who are demonstrating and spreading hate just go by rumors. Obama was their worst enemy, but because of certain people like Jeremiah Wright and Oprah, they are deceived and being used not for good by the dark side.

  • Mike Granto

    01/22/2017 10:32 PM

He lied when he said he was American. Because he was black, nobody questioned it. Nobody seriously questioned his social security number, belonging to a dead guy, from a state he has never been to. The birth certificate he put online is demonstrably a forgery, as both Sheriff Arpaio and Lord Moncton have shown. No one from college remembers him, even people who were in the same classes he was supposedly in. He's a homosexual, which might not be a big problem by itself, but he's passing himself as a man married to a woman, with two daughters. His wife is not a woman, he's a man, but he is purportedly the "First Lady," when he's not even a lady. He lies about being a Christian when he is really a Muslim.

And all that is just the beginning. The debt is so large the numbers are almost meaningless; Obamacare was a lie to begin with, as were the "You can keep your doctor. Period." sound bites; the allies he has insulted and alienated are all over the globe; the military is at its lowest point since before WW2; his policies and his Secretary of State created ISIS; foreign leader refuse to shake his hand; overseas he is known as "President Pantywaist;" he abandons our allies; he favors making our laws subservient to United Nations dictates; he encourages rioting when a black man is killed by a white Officer, even if the Officer is perfectly justified; he takes no action when "Black Lives Matter" groups riot; he criticizes police, and pardons criminals; he made a world tour apologizing for the country he was supposed to lead; and he bowed to an Arab king.

What's the worst thing he has done? Take your pick, and this is just the short list.

I am concern about the place Obama has left our country and our presidentwhen he stood ideally by and let Israel be tossed to their enemies. The Bible says, "I will bless those that bless you (Israel) and I will curse those who curse you". That was a curse Obama put on Israel. I am glad our God is a God of grace and if we seek Him we maybe redeem.

  • Darlene Harms

    01/22/2017 03:00 PM

There isn't a one of these that I'd leave out as being the worst. That's Obama! The things he did to bring this country down to it's knees! And 'Hollyweird" people think he was so great??? I'd like to tell those people in person, if Trump is an illegitimate President, you are calling me and my vote illegitimate also! And I was born in America and been around a hell of a lot longer than them! We all had our minds made up against Hillary when she won the primary! Long before WikiLeaks came about. I would add one more thing to your list of Obama's worst, that you at the time this was written, didn't know yet.....the release/pardon of 330,000 drug dealers, the worst of the bunch! And now our police force can be put in danger and start all over again to arrest them (as we know they will go right back to what they did before), and us taxpayers can pay for their court trials again too. What an absolute IGNORANT thing to do! But his revenge! But then he never EVER wanted us Americans to be safe....by leaving open borders to bring in drug dealers/cartel, releasing prisons in the U.S. and Gitmo, and letting in some murderous felons from Mexico and terrorists from the Middle East to shoot us or blow us up. But had the nerve to say "we've never been safer". NOT by you have we ever been safe! He got his hate of America from his mother and maternal grandmother. If the media was honest, they would have researched Obama and found out his REAL background. If he was a U.S. citizen, how did he get free foreign scholarships to the best colleges? He had no money to pay for college, nor did his mother or grandmother. And the colleges he went to cost big $$$. And why did one yearbook list him "born in Africa"? That's before he had them delete it, of course! And paid how much? a million dollars? to seal his records. Just a George Soros puppet!

    Dear Governor,

Thank you for your e-mails. I love your insights. THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE REFERENCE was PERFECT. SPOT ON! YES, it is hard to choose from that list of Top Ten IDIOCIES.

    My top three (3) are...
    1. Release of more Gitmo and other prisoners. How is it possible to condone such a release after they were caught shooting at, injuring, or killing OUR troops? Disgusting!!
    2. The goofy Iran deal. Obama must have gotten a commission on that one.
    3. The treatment of Israel.
    4. Doubling of the National Debt... with little to show for it....except more freebies to his ilk.
SORRY GOVERNOR... I COULD NOT HOLD MYSELF TO JUST ONE WORST THING.

Thank God that he is gone.

Thank you for a chance to give some input.

Tomorrow a check goes out to Huck PAC.

I can make a same list about you and other politicians. Criticizing is easy, we didn't see the major effects of some the policies. I don't know why social conservatives usually hide behind neo-conservatives. As we seen it before social conservatives will suffer under neo-conservatives economic & trade policies. Also no conservative administration can bring measure changes on education & health care in 4 years time. Neo-conservatives use conservative policies when it serves them well, personal benfits are their main goal not societal

Because I was involved in the 60s and 70s in being a part of those in the "trenches", working out our racial situation in schools, communities, etc., I feel he has sent the US backwards years in race relations, especially in situations where there was definitely criminal activity, encouraging them to hate and destroy. Even though I did not vote for him in 2008 or 2012, I was so hopeful and with a sense of pride that a black American was taking the oath of office of president. He had a whole different agenda, apparently.

Wow! First, let me say that I thoroughly enjoy your daily commentary; fresh, thoughtful and replete with wisdom.

I am so thankful for God's gracious opportunity to begin anew after 8 years of incredible ignorance, malfeasance, arrogance and narcissism. It was the grand deception- and sadly, Mr. Obama mostly deceived himself. I believe that all of your points are to be regarded as extremely damaging to our country and our society as a whole. It is difficult to choose just one, but if I must, then it would be the placing of millions of hard earned dollars in the hands of people (the enemy) that would like to kill me, my family and my countrymen. It was a reprehensible and irresponsible act of treason.

Thank you for giving my thoughts a voice.
Very sincerely, may God bless you,

Yes, very tough to choose Obama's worse decision/policy. Here are just two examples of how my family was negatively impacted: Obamacare - my husband's job was cut to 291/2 hours. Obama's lack of an economic policy that put Americans first - my daughter's job was outsourced to India.
