October 7, 2020

By Mike Huckabee

Word went out while President Trump was in the hospital that he’d had enough of the Intelligence Community’s hiding of “Russia” documents and that he'd be using his time there to work on declassifying it all. Not surprisingly, he was true to his word.

He has DONE IT.

As he tweeted on Tuesday, “I have fully authorized the total Declassification of any & all documents pertaining to the single greatest political CRIME in American History, the Russia Hoax. Likewise, the Hillary Clinton Email Scandal. No redactions!”

Though we’ve heard from reputable sources that CIA Director Gina Haspel was holding on with her teeth to all remaining materials that might embarrass the Agency, rest assured that it's all coming out. Failure to produce these documents --- well, Director Haspel, I think that’s called “obstruction of justice.” Hand everything over now. Anyone who tries to slow the process can clean out his or her desk immediately and be escorted out, and they’d better hire themselves a good lawyer. As Devin Nunes said on Sunday, “THIS IS OVER.”

Last week, documents were declassified showing that then-CIA Director John Brennan personally briefed President Obama and other national security officials about information that Russian intel had learned Hillary Clinton was going after Trump with a made-up Russia scandal, tying Trump with Putin and the so-called hacking of DNC emails to detract from her own (real) email scandal. When former FBI Director James Comey was asked last Wednesday under oath about the investigatory lead the FBI got after this briefing, he laughably said “that doesn’t ring any bells with me.”

But now, in the first of what is sure to be a cascade of many document releases, we have Brennan’s own handwritten notes made after the briefing that Comey can’t seem to remember. They were first released by Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe with heavy redactions on Tuesday; one may assume from Trump’s tweet that the un-redacted versions will be available right away pursuant to his order.

Investigative reporter Sara Carter has a good analysis of what was going on with Brennan and why he might have supplied those notes. Remember, a smart intel guy is going to think in terms of “CYA.”

Most of the Brennan notes as seen here are still almost totally redacted. This is obviously the way Haspel intends members of Congress (and us) to see them. Trump is saying that will change.

Brooke Singman at FOX News also reported this on Tuesday.

Brennan’s notes reinforce what Ratcliffe included in his letter last week to Sen. Lindsay Graham, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Ratcliffe also declassified a CIA memo showing that officials referred the matter to James Comey and Peter Strzok at the FBI for potential investigation. This really should "ring a bell" with Comey.

Right now, we’re still having to deal with redactions, as in Brennan’s largely blacked-out note that says, “We’re getting additional insight into Russian activities from [REDACTED], CITE [summarizing] alleged approved by Hillary Clinton a proposal from one of her foreign policy advisers to vilify Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by the Russian security service.”

Won’t it be nice to know who [REDACTED] is?

One other part of Brennan’s notes that isn’t redacted consists of cryptic notes in the margins: “JC,” “Denis” and “Susan.” Easy guesses are that he was talking about James Comey, Denis McDonough (Obama’s chief of staff) and Susan Rice.

Importantly, since one way Brennan can "C" his "A" is to say that the "dossier" was Russian disinformation, numerous sources have characterized Hillary’s plot as NOT being Russian disinformation. One observation that makes particularly good sense: “This is not Russian disinformation. Even Brennan knew, or he wouldn’t be briefing the President of the United States on it.” Another source said, “...this information has been sought by hundreds of congressional requests for legitimate oversight purposes and was withheld for political spite --- and the belief that they’d never get caught.”

Ratcliffe himself said in a statement to FOX News, “To be clear, this is not Russian disinformation and has not been assessed as such by the Intelligence Community. I’ll be briefing Congress on the sensitive sources and methods by which it was obtained in the coming days.”

As reported at NOQ (“News. Opinion. Quotes”) Report, “The President has promised to [eliminate the redactions] and offer complete transparency just in time for the November elections.” Mr. President, please make this happen IMMEDIATELY, as millions of people have already voted early. As I’ve long said, early voting is a bad idea, because voters need and deserve all the information they can get before casting their ballots. Holding information until after an election is in itself a political decision with potentially huge political consequences. We have only 27 days before voting (at least non-fraudulent voting) ends.

Paul Sperry, a longtime source of ours, tweeted, “When all the documents are finally declassified, and all the redactions removed from reports, the nation will see that the FBI and CIA not only knew that the Russia “collusion” allegations against Trump were a political dirty trick, but that they were in on the trick.”

Finally, Sean Hannity, on his TV show Tuesday night, did a segment on this breaking news featuring Gregg Jarrett, Corey Lewandowski and David Bossie, who was Trump’s 2016 deputy campaign manager.

Of course, Jarrett has reported at length about Hillary and the Russia hoax, not to mention Obama’s cover-up. “He [Obama] sat there silently,” Jarrett said Tuesday night, “as our government was thrown into turmoil for the last four years over what he knew, based on the intelligence presented to him by John Brennan, which was phony information conjured up by Hillary Clinton...”

Lewandowski was more focused on the two-tier justice system and who is going to pay for this CRIME, the greatest hoax in political history. He said Trump told him in 2018 (!) that, yes, Obama, Biden, Brennan, Clapper and Comey DID KNOW it was all a hoax. They attempted to depose a duly-elected President, yet “not one person has been put in jail for this yet.”

The time has come. As David Bossie said Tuesday night, “You don’t have to be Columbo to figure this one out.”

"Mr. Biden contends that he will be the Second Coming of Franklin Roosevelt. But a lot of people suspect that he's really gonna be the second cousin of Bernie Sanders."

Also must-share with anyone who is thinking of voting for Joe Biden or any other Democrat just because they find them more likable than their Republican opponents. Dennis Prager reminds us of what the current Democratic Party stands for, and how a likable Democrat with ruinous leftist policies will destroy America just as effectively as an unlikeable leftist.

This week, NBC held a townhall with Joe Biden that probably should have ended with Joe saying, “I’m Joe Biden, and I approved this message.” The so-called “undecided voters” who questioned him were apparently undecided only about whether to vote Biden by mail or in person. It was so unbelievably slanted that even critics from outlets like Politico got headaches from rolling their eyes so often.

Read about the background of the “undecided” voters here and see if you can decide whether this was a town hall or an undeclared in-kind contribution to the Biden campaign.

Pope Francis has once again waded into politics, attacking free-market capitalism as harming the poor when it’s actually been responsible for lifting millions of people out of poverty worldwide, ending starvation, reducing infant mortality, and increasing lifespans. He also repeated the false claim of the left that “if one person lacks what is necessary to live with dignity, it is because another person is detaining it,” which is the fallacy of finite wealth.

Do you seriously believe that if you’re poor, it’s because Bill Gates is rich? Bill Gates didn’t start out rich, so who became poor so that he could have their billions? Nobody: people bought Microsoft products, which made him rich, and the products helped them be more successful, too. Wealth expanded and everyone benefited. It’s socialism where people have to fight over the crumbs of the pie the government leaves them. With capitalism, the pie gets bigger.

The Pope also made the bizarre claim that somehow, free markets and property rights have contributed to the spread of COVID-19. I hate to have to keep reminding people of this, but COVID-19 came out of communist China, and it swept the world because the communist Chinese leaders spent a month or so lying about it, silencing doctors and letting it spread. Last time I looked, they were not proponents of free-market capitalism and property rights.

President Trump is out of the hospital already because of our top-notch medical care and treatments that were developed very rapidly due to the American free-market system. And while Democrats don’t want you to remember this, they predicted lethal shortages of ventilators, hospital beds, and masks and 2.2 million deaths in the US alone, none of which happened because Trump launched an aggressive partnership with private companies to retool their factories to make needed supplies and to fast-track research and development of new drugs, which I don’t see happening in Cuba or Venezuela.

I could go on at length about what’s wrong with the Pope’s economic analysis, but fortunately, the Foundation for Economic Education already did it, so check it out.

Remember Kim Davis, the Kentucky county clerk who was vilified and sued because she refused to issue same-sex marriage licenses in the wake of the Supreme Court somehow finding a right to same-sex marriage in the Constitution in the case of Obergefell v. Hodges? I defended her at the time because what she was being ordered to do was illegal under state law. It would have required her and her staff to assume liability for altering state forms that it was the duty of the legislature to change. She was jailed for five days for contempt for daring to stand up to the onslaught of the LGBTQ lobby by simply doing her job.

Monday, the Supreme Court refused to hear an appeal of the lawsuit against her. But while Justice Clarence Thomas concurred in the denial on technical grounds, he issued a scathing condemnation of the way Obergefell was decided and insisted that the SCOTUS needs to fix it. He said that because of the way that decision was worded, “parties have continually attempted to label people of good will as bigots merely for refusing to alter their religious beliefs in the wake of prevailing orthodoxy” and that the ruling implies that “being a public official with traditional Christian values was legally tantamount to invidious discrimination toward homosexuals.”

Because of that piece of judicial activism, innocent people across the nation have been threatened with jail, bankruptcy and repeated lawsuits by individuals, states and cities, simply for refusing to renounce their Constitutionally-protected religious beliefs. I’m sure liberals will react to Thomas’ comments with horror and use them to spur even more rabid opposition to Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation. But it’s all the more reason why we need her to make up a SCOTUS that doesn’t replace the Constitution with the members’ own personal beliefs.

Americans have had enough SCOTUS decisions that blow up long-established societal standards with no clarification of how they will be enacted. If the Justices had to deal with the consequences of their personal beliefs by facing a barrage of slander and ruinous lawsuits, maybe they would think a little harder when they open up a can of worms about where those worms are going to end up.

Once again, the Pope should not stick his nose in something that he keeps showing his ignorance. He should be cleaning up the Catholic church mess.

good grief. the Pope needs to point his finger at HIMSELF. the Catholic church is one of the richest institutions in the world. Catholics throughout the world do wonderful, amazing, selfless things for the poor. my dad and i were two of them. but "the Church" is another story. if being rich is wrong, he needs to look in his own Vatican basement.

RE: "RUSSIA" DECLASSIFIED: PRAISE THE LORD AND PASS THE INFORMATION! Thank goodness! This is long overdue, the truth has been surrounded by a bodyguard of lies for too long!. May the truth ring loud and clear. And may justice be executed in our land.

My Faith Votes sent me 2 thank you notes for the same donation. Is there a way you can somehow fix this so it doesn't happen again? (It's wasteful and you're needlessly spending money for that could be better used for your stated purposes.

Many are having a fit because President Trump stopped the negotions for corona virus relief, but if you remember "the Art of the Deal", he knows when to walk away. I believe he has a strategy in this action.

Now, if our President will protect our poling places against the Left's intimidating and tortuous harassments with Federal troops while also insuring that the votes get to their legal and intended destinations for a thorough and fair, legally observed counting , we might get a semblance of a fair election after the Left's ~800 or so lawyers spawn their neutralizing deceit to slow down the people's will.

Is there any relationship to today’s announced indictment by DOJ, FBI, etc. of 2 British citizens to the investigation of those involved in undermining this administration? The indictment was on CSPAN, but was it on any MSM?

Whether or not Barry O actually is subjected to a perp walk, as hopefully some of the myriad of criminal culprits who infested his gang will now be due to the outrage and intense public pressure brought to bear on, among others, fencewalkers Barr and Durham, his "legacy" has been permanently and irreparably discredited and tarnished. The proof that he and his family are painfully aware of this is his "other half" going on her embarrassingly deranged rant against their "tormentors." They are scared and in a panic about what their malevolence and malignance has already wrought at large, and is now coming full-circle back to haunt them, a la Hosea 8:7.

Mike, I usually appreciate your comments and perspective, but your view of Amy Coney Barrett is myopic, at best. She has pledged repeatedly, and shown in her previous court findings, that she stands on PRECEDENT. To think that means she will rule to overturn ANY previous SOCUTS finding is purely delusional. Wake up and smell the coffee, or in this case, the rat.

When I heard trump was running, thought it was a joke. Then I got to thinking, he wasn’t a politician and was a successful businessman. I love President Trump and pray he wins.

In 2016 election we received absentee ballots for husbands mother and sister. The problem, sister had been deceased 9 years and his mother 6 years. We did not move to our current address til after both died yet ballots arrived at our home.

And, I find republicans will listen to a dumbocrates view but they are not interested in republican view.

    Could say more but!!!!!

It just dawned on me why Biden chose Harris. It's insurance policy against being impeached...Biden and Obama knew about Russian hoax. Obama chose Biden for same reason - insurance policy from getting impeached! People who know Biden's past "shutter" at the thought of him in the Oval office - total incompetence - he's "managed." Obama knew that. That's why his BIG bravado - no one will try impeachment if we are stuck with Biden! Biden is so dumb, he doesn't "get it!" Everyone knows about Biden's plagiarizing (except the millennials who are so uneducated about history/past politics. Believe me, I know a millennial graduate from a state college who knows nothing about Biden's past OR History...Straight A student. Dumb as a door knob on History - totalitarianism is not taught/discussed. Incredible! Just watch how mean Harris is in debate tonight - it is who she is and an opportunist. That "tough prosecutor" approach is uncontrollable. Californians "know" who she is, and Hispanics/Blacks don't like her at all. Not all Californians are liberal - many are waking up! Harris overcharges, throws away the long as it helps her political aspirations, even if people are innocent...make a guilty case anyhow. Many hurt when she was atty general and in one case I know, constitutional rights blatantly violated - can't get ANYONE in California to reopen cases under her watch for fear of political backlash. No one to challenger her atty general rulings. Real need for criminal justice reform in California. No one listening! If she gets in, no one wants to kick their chances for moving up the political ladder if they can get on her coat tails! Tell me, why has Harris' TRUE track record not been reported here as atty general? There is so much people don't know about her. She is bad news. So, where's the aggressive vetting on her? It befuddles me...Above, in my opinion...but, the stats tell the truth...

Now, we'll learn who the expendable one is who will be tasked with the bonfire, because I don't believe we'll ever see the documents. The odds of everyone getting away with this until Jesus comes is quite high, in my estimation. However, Jesus will need no documents or lawyers, since He is the ultimate Eye-witness!!

The msm and people from the left believe America is racist a few facts Americans don’t have time for that nonsense for 30 days out of the month they do what has to be done to pay the bills most Americans pay their own way as hard as it is no time to be racist kids need attending that’s enough take time for racist actions no the house and property needs attention no time for racist action vehicle maintenance, taxes, shopping, church service just no time for racist action unless you work for the msm or u are a leftist

I would not normally defend the Pope. But I do beLieve his position is based on his experiences in his native country. People in many Sputh American countries suffer from intense poverty. His country has a reputation for having a few wealthy and most people in abject poverty. He obviously has no experience with regulated Capitalism. While our markets are essentially free, we do have regulations that prevent the kind of distortions that go on in other countries where the wealth is controlled by a favored few leaders. His are sins of ignorance and nobody in the Vatican is going to try to correct him.
Of course one reason his country is in such poverty is the Catholic Church’s objection to birth control in any form except one that doesn’t work.

Like him or not, nobody should have been put through what was done to POTUS and some of his people. I want indictments and jail time, most especially for Hilary and Comey, et al. The cost to the American people is enormous, not only in dollars but in angst. If Biden is elected it will all be swept under the rug, but then it will be minor compared to what will happen to our beloved Country. Most of this will not hit most of the media. Most voters won’t even know before the election. The GOP has to learn to fight back. In debates Biden should be asked about it, but he won’t be.

Unfortunately for us, I truly believe Biden will win. People elect people they like. They simply looked Hilary less. The media has done a fantastic job of influencing people. Most voters are woefully ignorant about economics, etc. They admire the likes of Michele, spoiled rich woman. Her husband was elected twice as leader of the free world. He received a Nobel Prize for just showing up. Last I looked they are people of color. She has been on the cover of more magazines than I can name. She received adoring media coverage, yet she thinks her country is racist. What is wrong with people?

We must pray that the Senate holds.

The left continually talks about how the poor are poorer and the rich are richer. Yes, that is true because our Congress decided it would be a wise thing to do to send blue collar jobs overseas. They are poor because our government leaders made them poor!
