Media bias exposed in New Mexico story

August 10, 2018 |

You might have heard the shocking story about 11 children being rescued from a filthy compound in Taos County, New Mexico, where they were being starved and abused, and police say some were being trained to be mass school shooters. Here’s what you might not have heard: the two men running it were Islamic radicals, or as the local sheriff put it, “extremists of the Muslim belief,” a statement corroborated by the FBI.

Why wouldn’t you have heard that rather important nugget of information? Because NBC, CBS and Time all failed to mention it in their reports, and CNN mentioned it at first, then removed it, and when pressed, downplayed it as unverified.

But wait, this isn’t the first example of political correctness trumping the truth and potentially putting lives in danger. And the men in New Mexico aren’t just any random Muslim believers. The New York Post reports that one of the arrestees is the son of Brooklyn imam Siraj Wahhaj, who heads the Masjid At-Taqwa mosque. The NYPD had the mosque under surveillance for a number of reasons: Wahhaj was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1990s plot to bomb New York City landmarks; it hosted a lecture by the “Blind Sheikh” who’s now serving a life sentence for his part in the Landmarks Plot; money raised by the mosque is believed to have been earmarked to a number of US-designated terrorist organizations; and its security personnel were suspected of being involved in illegal weapons trafficking and paramilitary training.

Seems like reason enough to keep an eye on the place. But not according to the ACLU, which intervened on the mosque’s behalf and got the surveillance halted. Details are at this link.

Nobody wants to see innocent Muslims falsely accused or houses of worship put under police surveillance purely because of their religious beliefs. But when the ACLU will no longer defend Americans for exercising their First Amendment rights to free speech or freedom of religion, but use religious freedom as an excuse to protect people suspected of plotting to commit mass murder, then it might be long past time for that organization to reexamine its priorities. It’s also long past time that some major news organizations reexamined what they consider to be “news.”

Once again the media never fails to show their bias. At this point I no longer believe anything from the media until I have done my own research. At what point does this end? I am not for sure but very thankful my trust is in the Lord Jesus who has control over this world.
Thank you for all you do. Love the Mike Huckabee Show on TBN and think your daughter, Sarah, is a rock star!!!!!

What is it going to take to break this cycle of biased news? I hardly watch tv now because unless I check multiple sources I don't trust what I see on the news.

It's very frustrating. If the people that we have voted into office and the people that we pay the salaries can't do anything about this, then it leads me to believe that WE THE PEOPLE must call up the militia. This is getting out of hand...

It's not journalism anymore; It's the dummycrats not telling the whole truth, as usual, and the "political correctness" that has ensued...we the people can no longer get the WHOLE the networks not showing the National Anthem due to the disgusting players dishonoring our country and our Veterans & Military due to ad talks?

The Bible is fulfilled and the Lord can come back at any time. Our Lord said that the sign of the times of HIS return will be all that is going on in America and across the earth. Look up and be ready!
