Today's Edition: 6 minute read

Proving that these days, if you just yell loudly enough, you’ll get what you want, President Trump’s Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta resigned Friday. He said Democrats’ demands for his head over his role as a US Attorney in brokering the lenient Jeffrey Epstein plea deal in 2008 had become a “distraction,” and were causing the media to ignore the incredible successes of the Trump economy.
Of course, the media hardly needed an 11-year-old accusation to ignore the incredible success of Trump’s economy, since they can always find a distraction to keep from reporting on that. But if they’d like to stop being distracted, here are a few questions they could ask that are far more germane to the real scandal about how the Epstein case was handled. Try asking these questions of the Democrats who were baying for Epstein to resign:
Why are you focusing all your righteous indignation on the only person who actually got an admission of guilt from Epstein, got him branded as a convicted sexual predator, and made the case that’s allowing his victims to come forward now? Is it because a decade later, he took an appointment from Trump, and this is your way of trying to connect Trump to this scandal?

Escape the July heat tonight with another cool new episode of “Huckabee” on TBN! I’ll talk about the latest news with the world’s leading expert on everything, Ben Stein. Hear a remarkable story of faith and redemption from Jermaine Wilson, who rose from prison to Mayor of Leavenworth, Kansas. We’ll have a delicious surprise from country star Aaron Tippin, and plenty of laughs with some “In Case You Missed It” stories and the blue collar comedy of Rocky LaPorte. It’s all coming your way on “Huckabee,” tonight at 8 and 11 EST, 7 and 10 CST, and the same times on Sunday, on TBN. Remake of "The Lion King" stumbles
By Mike Huckabee
Just when you think we’ve reached the outer limits of wacky PC absurdity, someone plants a flag in new territory. Like self-described “cultural theorist” Dan Hassler-Forest, who wrote an article actually published in the Washington Post, about how Disney’s new CGI remake of the animated classic “The Lion King” represents “fascist ideology writ large,” and “incorporates the white supremacist’s worldview.”
(Would you be surprised to learn that he also finds ways to compare the lion villain of the story and his hyena henchmen to Donald Trump and his supporters? No?) It’s already been called “the dumbest article ever published by WaPo,” which probably isn’t fair because there are so many worthy contenders.
Since the story is loosely based on “Hamlet” (and nature), and about 80% of the voice actors of the new version are black, I can’t help wondering if Shakespeare, Beyonce and Donald Glover knew they were promoting fascism, white supremacy and Trump?
If the early reviews are any indicator, the movie may have problems more serious than one social justice warrior nutcase thinking it promotes fascism and white supremacy (after all, he’d probably say the same thing about “Madea’s Family Reunion.”) Below is one of the most vicious and entertaining reviews. If audiences agree with this merciless pan, maybe it will finally herald the end of live-action remakes of classic cartoons and studios will finally start filming original stories again. Or at least stealing some different ones from Hans Christian Anderson.

Little girl threatened after making fun of AOC
By Mike Huckabee
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, last seen staging a photo-op of crying at a fence in an empty parking lot to simulate her torment over illegal immigrant children in federal facilities at the border, created another phony photo-op by insisting on being sworn in before badmouthing our border security workers at a Congressional committee. It’s something that’s never done, but she got photos of herself looking deeply concerned with her right hand in the air, so there’s something for Twitter.
https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/aocs-latest-photo-op-asking-sworn-dramatic-effect/
Amid all these crocodile tears for the children on the border, it’s worth noting that over a week has now passed since an 8-year-old American girl who played “Mini AOC” online was forced to remove all her comedy videos after bullying leftist scumballs doxed her family and made death threats against her – for doing JOKES about AOC.
There have also been a week’s worth of outraged articles calling on AOC to support that little girl and denounce her deranged followers who threatened her and her family. But as far as I’ve been able to ascertain, she’s been uncharacteristically silent on that one subject. Apparently, her wrenching concern for children extends only to those who can be exploited to advance her political agenda. Sorry, but until she speaks up for that little girl's right to make jokes without fearing for her life from AOC’s own deranged followers, I give zero credence to anything she has to say about caring for children.

##Appellation##, I wanted to make sure you also read these comments
For all of the groundless babble about impeaching Trump by House Democrats, guess which prominent Washington political leader might have just committed an actual “high crime and misdemeanor”?...

Just in case anyone is still under the misapprehension that the left’s push for open borders and benefits for illegal immigrants (California Gov. Gavin Newsom just signed the bill to give them free health care at taxpayer expense) is just about human compassion and not destroying and remaking America, here’s a graphic illustration of the theory that if you “give ‘em an inch, they’ll take the whole country.”
