As I’ve watched the attacks on Judge Brett Kavanaugh move from their initial Salem Witch Trial interrogation phase into the full blown mass hysteria of a growing chorus of accusers screaming, “I saw goody Kavanaugh with the Devil!" (and Democrats insisting that the sheer numbers of people screaming hysterically make the story more likely to be true), one thing has become crystal clear:

It is time for someone to step aside from high office in DC.  And I’m not talking about Kavanaugh.  I am calling upon the following people to immediately “step aside” from their positions in the United States Senate:

Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), who declared that a “sworn allegation” was solid enough evidence to force Kavanaugh to withdraw; Chris Coons (D-DE), who said that Kavanaugh “bears the burden of disproving these allegations;” Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI), who managed to come out against both due process and free speech rights at once by saying that all men should just “shut up” when a woman makes a sexual assault allegation; Jeff Merkley (D-OR) and the list may yet grow longer.

Note that I’m being incredibly lenient by not including Senators Diane Feinstein (D-CA), Kamala Harris (D-CA) or Cory Booker (D-NJ), despite their outrageous, reprehensible and self-serving behavior during this period, only because to my knowledge, they have not yet explicitly called for overthrowing due process rights and declaring Kavanaugh guilty on allegations alone unless he proves himself innocent.

Also please note: I am not calling on these Senators to resign for partisan reasons (I’d say the same to any Republican who similarly treated the Bill of Rights like a roll of Charmin); nor because I think that they are acting as vicious, unfair partisans without regard for the terrible damage they are doing to the social fabric of America, although that’s all true.  I’m calling upon them to resign because they have all publicly, blatantly and willfully violated their oaths of office.

This is the oath that all Americans take upon assuming the high responsibility of being a US Senator:

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”

Each and every one of the people I named above has now come out publicly against the sacred rights of due process, enumerated in the Bill of Rights (part of the Constitution.)  Although the presumption of innocence isn’t explicitly spelled out in the Constitution, it dates back to ancient Rome; it’s a bedrock of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; it’s generally held to be an implied right by the Fifth, Sixth and 14th Amendments; and it was established as precedent in the case of “Coffin v. US” (1895.)

It is up to Judge Kavanaugh to decide whether dealing with this tsunami of slander is worth it or to step aside from consideration for the position of Supreme Court Justice.  But there is absolutely no question that the people I named above have violated their oath of office by misusing the power, publicity and prestige that comes with it to advocate for the shredding of basic civil rights enshrined in the very Constitution that they swore to “support and defend” as a condition of taking office.  Through their words and deeds, they have proven themselves unworthy to hold that office.

Therefore, I call upon them all to resign from the United States Senate.  Right now, before they do any more damage.

Or in their own parlance:  Do the right thing and step aside.

This needs to be seriously pursued. If we don't don't stop this blatant wave of publicly destroying our constitution... we will find ourselves helpless in the coming tsunami of corruption.

    That is so true.
I am asking you to have a new law put into place by having all us voters approve it.
    It is;
If any elected official tells a lie and is caught and proved they lied, they shall be removed from office immediately. And they will loose there retirement and benifits as well.
Also there will be a jail term for a minimum of two years.
If that was put to vote it would win.
    Thanks
    Gary.
Love you and your daughter. Thank you both for being the troopers you are.

I agree with you, Governor Huckabee, on those who should resign their position. I must also agree on your comment regarding Feinstein, Harris, and Booker, though I would much prefer to be rid of them also. I have been, and will continue to pray for Judge Kavanaugh and his family.

Well said. I am so ashamed for the ugliness shown to Judge Kavanaugh and his sweet family. Maybe the entire Senate should have a 40 yr background check and be brought before the committee to be questioned. I just wonder after this latest stall tactic, will they believe the FBI, because I’m confident they will find nothing. Why would anyone every accept a nomination of any kind after seeing this circus.

Do you know if any investigation is being done to see if Dr. Ford is being paid by some person or organization? I heard it could be GoFundMe but don’t know if it’s a rumor. May God comfort and protect the Kavanaughs and may justice be done!

I watched the entire hearing. OMG This process is turning our Constitution upside down. I am worried for my beloved country. Thank God for Lindsey Graham who is standing up our rights.

You are so right, Mike. I have never witnessed anything so evil as this has turned out to be. If there is to be an FBI investigation, it should be of each of these Democrats who have attacked Kavanaugh in such a heinous way. It amazes me that one 36 year old unproven accusation could in a heartbeat do so much damage to this mans character and career. It is so wrong. How could they have swept Bill Clinton and Ted Kennedy’s sexual escapades under the carpet and there was proof against them, yet viciously attract Brett Kavanaugh over an accusation? And what was with this continual harping on his year book? I have stupid stuff written in my yearbook. Some have said Kavanaugh was too angry. I don’t think he was angry enough. I am furious that only Lindsay Graham came to his defense and that some Republicans are demanding a week long FBI investigation before they will vote to approve him. They are helping to delay this process while the mid terms draw closer. It’s almost as if they don’t care if he is not appointed. What are they thinking? As you can see, I am furious. I want the Kavanaughs to know I stand with them and keep them in my prayers. Thank you for letting me vent, Mike.

While the Senate and country are focused on sexual sin - - this seems like the ideal time for the government to publish the sex scandle pay-offs that the taxpayers funded for $17m. That is so important to help citizens know who to vote for.

Thank you! Well said and I agree with you 100%. Those Senators need to resign immediately. They won’t because they are brainwashed by their own left wing party; it’s like the plague.

Thank you for your stand on the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Now please explain how Muslims who refuse to honor Constitution can ever hold office. They vowed to uphold it and be faithful to America when they became citizens. But knowing their creed, we know they lied. They don’t want to assimilate and are very verbal about changing our country into their Sharia Law states and are very verbal about it. Don’t we citizens have a protection from such. I don’t understand how this can happen.
Also, I think it is disgusting the these representatives useOUR money to fund defense of their sexual perversionswhen they get caught. Want to know who they are to be able to vote them OUT of office!

Stay strong Mr. Kavanaugh. I am a woman, age 63. I have seen a lot in my lifetime but nothing to this magnetude. If any and all gender are allowed to make an accusation without an ounce of proof and be able to go back in time god knows how far, is able to soley convict and destroy a person by their say only, will set a presedence like no other that will destroy our country. That is why we have the constitution for the people. Very scary times.

Mr. Huckabee, YOU, sir, were my #1 pick, above all else, to be the next President of the United States of America, due to your unwavering Christian faith and beliefs. I have the utmost, tremendous respect for you and your AWESOME daughter and the way you raised her. But I only have one question, with all due respect, regarding the very last sentence of your statement: when was the last time you actually remember a Democrat senator "do the right thing"? God Bless you and your family.

I totally agree with you. I was in tears watching this man being humiliated to the point of crying. His own daughter prayed for this woman that is trying to disgrace her father’s reputation. I also pray that all of these Democrats will realize how much they have made the Constitution a laughingstock to the country. God Bless this man and his family.
