Did You See This Viral Video?
A disturbing video went viral, showing hundreds of yellow-headed blackbirds suddenly slamming into the ground and dying in northern Mexico.

Before anyone convinces governments that this was caused by humans or “climate change,” bird experts say it was likely natural. The birds react very quickly in waves when threatened by a predator. They say it’s likely a hawk or falcon not seen in the video was overhead, and the birds instinctively swarmed together too low and slammed into the ground.
Or maybe the birds were just so scared of climate change that they did something suicidally destructive. They must be Democrat birds.
Further proof that liberalism is a mental disorder:
Mark another university off the list of potential schools for your kids. Bristol University in the UK linked its staff to guidelines on using preferred personal pronouns. They include – I kid you not – “emojiself” pronouns for people who identify as emojis and “catgender” pronouns for people who identify as cats.
It actually gets worse: “Catgender” people may use the personal pronouns “nya” or “nyan,” which is a Japanese word for “meow.”
Hit with a wave of ridicule, the university deleted the link. Still, whoever thought it was a good idea should be spayed and neutered to keep them from reproducing.
Yet another reason to abandon Twitter:
Twitter banned an account called Defiant L’s which never comments on anything. All it does is take two contrasting tweets from the same liberal sources and put them together to demonstrate what complete hypocrites they are.
So mark it down: Exposing the left’s hypocrisy by simply quoting their own words is now a violation of Twitter’s terms of service. Tell me again: why does this company still have federal protection from lawsuits?
The Rank Hypocrisy of Liberal Politicians and Celebrities
The Babylon Bee beautifully mocked the rank hypocrisy of liberal politicians and celebrities whooping it up at the Super Bowl with no masks while forcing children to wear them in school at all times, even when they’re outside.
This is why even San Francisco voters just voted to recall three school board members. It’s also, in a small way, how the French Revolution started.
RIP P.J. O'Rourke

All of us here are very sad to have to report that Libertarian/conservative humorist and journalist P.J. O'Rourke died Tuesday afternoon of complications from lung cancer at 74.

O’Rourke was the editor and writer for the National Lampoon during some of its best years (he discovered a writer named John Hughes that many of us searched for first with each new issue; some of his articles became classic movies like “National Lampoon’s Vacation.”) O’Rourke also wrote for many magazines and websites, and for a while, singlehandedly made Rolling Stone worth buying (it hasn’t been since he left.) He also wrote 20 books, including such classics as “Republican Party Reptile,” “Parliament of Whores” and “Holidays in Hell,” that were hilarious, informative and hugely influential.
Starting out as a ‘60s era, pot-smoking hippie college student, he quickly realized the absurdity of many of that generation’s naïve political ideas. He wrote, “I couldn’t stay a Maoist forever. I got too fat to wear bell-bottoms. And I realized that communism meant giving my golf clubs to a family in Zaire.”
He changed his politics but kept his coolness, swapping the pot for fine cigars, good Scotch and fast cars. He shattered the left’s self-flattering narrative that only liberals were funny (Steven Colbert and Samantha Bee continue to shatter that idea, and Jimmy Kimmel has proved that simply turning left can make a formerly funny person unfunny.) P.J. proved that the left did not have a corner on irreverent humor and, in fact, were quite ripe for ridicule themselves. When they complained that P.J. was a “reactionary,” they just looked like what they were: whiners who couldn’t laugh at themselves.
Laura and I brought that "no tolerance for smug B.S." attitude to our long-running radio comedy service. Greg Gutfeld also credited P.J. with helping to shape his politics and sense of humor that now make up the #1 show in late night comedy, and the only one that’s actually funny.
I often quote his lines and stories. Favorites include his observation about the Nicaraguan election that shocked the US media when voters rejected their commie dreamboat Daniel Ortega (“People don’t stand in line in the ***-end of nowhere to vote for the status quo”)…That “I have only one firm belief about the American political system, and that is this: God is a Republican and Santa Claus is a Democrat”…That conservatives will tell you there are some things you shouldn’t joke about, but liberals will tell you there are some things you’re not allowed to joke about (truer now than ever)…And that a liberal is someone who actually believes there are people who are too poor to clean up their own yards.
And you must read his hilarious account of his trip to Soviet-era Russia with a tour group of old Bernie Sanders-style commies who kept oohing and ahhing over the ugly concrete buildings and the fact that “everyone is guaranteed a job!” Meanwhile, he found that there, as in all oppressive regimes, as soon as the locals found out he was an American, they’d take him aside and privately tell him the latest jokes about what incompetent dolts their leaders were. This is why American “progressives” are so desperate to stamp out comedy.
Farewell to not only one of the funniest writers who ever lived, but also one of the most important. I’ll leave you (and especially our friends in Canada) with this quote from his 1993 speech to the Cato Institute about a topic that is once again at the top of the news: Freedom…
“Freedom is not empowerment. Empowerment is what the Serbs have in Bosnia. Anybody can grab a gun and be empowered. It’s not entitlement. An entitlement is what people on welfare get, and how free are they? It’s not an endlessly expanding list of rights — the ‘right’ to education, the ‘right’ to health care, the ‘right’ to food and housing. That’s not freedom, that’s dependency. Those aren’t rights, those are the rations of slavery — hay and a barn for human cattle. There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences.”
