Though Iran is on record threatening President Trump’s life, we still haven’t heard from the FBI about anything that ties Iran to either of the would-be Trump assassins.  (They’re just not talking, period.)  But here’s something they did reveal:  as the election nears, Iran has apparently been trying to hurt him electorally as well.  They must figure there’s more than one way to keep Trump out of the White House!

U.S. agencies report that this summer, in an effort to “sow discord and shape the outcome of U.S. elections,” Iranian cyber actors helpfully sent unsolicited emails to people involved in Biden’s campaign containing stolen, non-public material from President Trump’s campaign.  The apparent hack was revealed by the FBI, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).

No word on the nature of this stolen campaign material.  According to these agencies, Iran sent it to U.S. media organizations as well.  Hey, might as well; they were part of the Biden campaign, too.  There’s been no word from our intel on whether or not the Biden campaign responded, but Matt Vespa at TOWNHALL sure has a feeling they did.  A must-read...

“As the lead for threat response,” the agencies said, “the FBI has been tracking this activity, has been in contact with the victims [Trump called it ‘insanity’], and will continue to investigate and gather information in order to pursue and disrupt the threat actors responsible.  Foreign actors are increasing their threat activities as we approach November.”

We do know that the golf course gunman --- as an editorial decision, we don’t name shooters --- self-published a book last year, still available on Amazon, called UKRAINE’S UNWINNABLE WAR in which he urged Iran to kill President Trump.

In the book, he apologized to Iran for America’s departure from the U.S.-Iran nuclear agreement.   As Wayne Dupree delicately puts it, the book delves into [his] “quest for global tranquility albeit through questionable geopolitical insights.”  Translation:  the guy’s a nut.  His suggestions for furthering international harmony include encircling Kabul with a wall --- funny that someone who despises Trump enough to kill him is partial to walls --- and offering himself as a hostage to North Korea, which come to think of it does sound like a pretty great idea.

According to the Secret Service, Trump does now (finally) have the same level of security that he had when he was President.  All right, but he supposedly already had it on Sunday, and it had a huge hole in it.  Still, they’re saying that this increase in security “helped” with the second attempt at the golf course.  Clearly, Trump is going to need more help.

Florida Rep. Mike Waltz, who’s on the House Intel Committee and also the congressional task force looking into the Butler shooting, was briefed by the Secret Service on Wednesday and told FOX NEWS’ Laura Ingraham that evening that this was “gross incompetence” on the part of the agency.  “Not all the local law enforcement was at the coordination meetings with the Secret Service.  They did not give the law enforcement that was there sufficient guidance on how to secure the AGR building [from where the shots were later fired] --- the Secret Service just basically told them, ‘You guys got it, right?’”

Waltz said they did have a common radio net --- reports have differed on this --- but that they were communicating by text, which lacked the immediacy.  And when a text about the shooter came in to the command post, that was in a different area from where the President was.

“Huge violations of protocol,” he said.  He thanked the Secret Service for being forthcoming but asked, “Where’s the accountability?  Who’s been fired?”  Accountability is not “retiring and sailing off into the night with full government benefits,” he said, in reference to ex-Director Kimberly Cheatle. Although that has been the standard for Democrats and Deep Staters since at least the Obama Administration.

If the Secret Service is offering some degree of transparency, the FBI is giving Congress “radio silence,” according to Rep. Waltz.  He’s frustrated to still know nothing about the shooter’s encrypted social media accounts, how he was radicalized, or how he was able to build explosive devices.  “The fact that he was so quiet on the Internet, I think, was an indicator in and of itself.”

He said “the same thing is playing out now, in Florida.”  The Secret Service is admitting mistakes, such as lack of drone coverage on the perimeter, and they’ve “increased resources,” he said.  But they refer members of Congress to the FBI for any information about the gunmen themselves.  That’s where they hit the brick wall.  The FBI tells them, “We’ll let you know once we get done with our investigation.”  They’ve “completely gone dark.”  The lack of transparency from Christopher Wray is “totally unacceptable.”

Of course, we all know from experience that even if Wray is subpoenaed and they get him into a chair, he WILL NOT say anything about an ongoing investigation.  He never does.  So then what?

Waltz also pointed out that in the wake of threats from Iran, we’ve heard nothing from Biden and Harris about “an enemy of the United States trying to kill a former President and leading political candidate...nothing in terms of consequences to Iran or any type of retribution.”

Democrats are now uniformly blaming Trump himself for the attempts on his own life, as if a memo had gone out instructing them to do it, and perhaps one actually did.  Never mind the constant drumbeat of anti-Trump psycho-hate coming from their corner, like the examples we’ve pointed to over the past few days.  They say he had it comin’.

When Kamala Harris was asked if she was concerned about Secret Service protection after the two assassination attempts on Trump, she didn’t miss a beat putting the responsibility on him and lying about him to boot.  Why, it’s Trump’s policies that are making other people feel UN-safe.  (Project 2025, Kamala?  “Don’t Say Gay”?  Really??)

With this clip, it’s clear that Harris isn’t just inadequate for the job of President, she’s an all-round shallow, shameful and contemptible person who should be as far from the halls of power as possible.

Kamala said she’s “fighting for the safety of everyone in our country.”  Make that “everyone except Trump,” because she spoke not a word of concern about how unsafe her political opponent has been and likely will continue to be.

Side note:  Juanita Broaddrick posted a different clip, five minutes from the same appearance (this was for the National Association of Black Journalists) that showed her seeming somewhat inebriated.  You be the judge…

What strikes us most, though, after seeing both clips is that in the same appearance where she lied about Trump’s policies, she also spoke of how important it was for someone in her position to use her words carefully, so as not to abuse the public trust.  And then she lied some more.

Incidentally, Kamala was also asked during this appearance if she was at DNC headquarters on January 6 when the pipe bomb was found.  Being in a corner, she very quickly and quietly said, “I was there,” and turned the conversation immediately away from that subject.  How we wish someone would steer the conversation BACK, to WHY she was there at that particular time, and to press for more details.

We’ve been saying since July that Trump needs to hire his own top-notch security.  Ann Coulter at TOWNHALL agrees, and suggests Blackwater.
