PEOPLE ARE NEXT

Some people like to look back to the old “Andy Griffith Show” for valuable life lessons. If I had to cite the best advice from that for big city mayors dealing with streets full of radical leftist vandals burning, looting and destroying monuments and historic statues, I’d point to the sage wisdom of Barney Fife:

“Nip it! Nip it in the bud!”

Unfortunately, with Democratic officials having ordered the police to stand back for weeks and let the mob “vent” and “express its feelings,” it’s too late for that. Instead of getting it out of their systems, they’ve just been emboldened to believe that their strategy for destroying America and its history is working, and they’re only ramping it up.

It’s obvious that the call to remove Confederate monuments was only a pretext, and that President Trump was right: they’ve quickly moved on to attacking statues of Washington and Jefferson, and to show their genuine historical illiteracy, Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Ulysses S. Grant, World War II soldiers and several prominent abolitionists. In Texas, a statue of guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughn was defaced, and there was even a threat against the Alamo (if they dare to damage that Texas shrine, Davy Crockett and company won’t be the only people who made their last stand at the Alamo.) There’s even talk about whether we need extra security to protect up Mount Rushmore. So this is not really about feeling “triggered” by Confederate monuments, it’s an all-out assault on all American history and culture, and everything and everyone who did something to contribute to it.

Christopher Bedford in The Federalist wrote one of the most talked-about editorials of the day, recounting the history of revolutionary mob violence and what happens when nobody stands up to them.

Bedford writes, “A society that believes in itself builds monuments, a sick society does not, and a dying society watches as they are torn down.” He further warns that “everywhere statues are torn down by the mob, history teaches that people are next.”

And we’re already seeing that come to pass, with physical assaults and even killings of police, protesters and others unfortunate enough to attract the mob’s attention. Just last night, Democratic Wisconsin state Senator Tim Carpenter was beaten by “peaceful protesters” at the State Capitol. They claim he “provoked” them. He says he was just taking a photo. They were toppling two statues, one of them a statue of a Union officer who fought to free the slaves. So either they didn’t want their faces seen by police, or they were too ashamed of how pig-ignorant they are about history to show their faces.

President Trump has now ordered that if local Democratic officials refuse to do their jobs and protect public monuments, he will enforce the federal law protecting them. But what is these officials’ reaction to the expanding anarchy in their own jurisdictions? I’m not certain which would be the most accurate adjective: shameful, oblivious or insane? Take a look at this outrageous statement by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, and you be the judge.

When asked about Trump saying Democratic officials should do more to protect monuments, Cuomo replied, “People are making a statement about equality, about community, to be against racism, against slavery, I think those are good statements…It’s a healthy expression of people saying let’s get some priorities here and let’s remember the sin and mistake that this nation made and let’s not celebrate it.”

Far be it from me to tell Gov. Cuomo how to do his job (although I did do that job for 10 years, and somehow managed to avoid killing thousands of nursing home residents, driving businesses to other states, or allowing communist radicals to run riot in the streets, destroying public monuments), but that is not “healthy expression.” It’s felony vandalism. You know, the kind of criminal act and threat to public safety that Governors are supposed to prevent.

It’s too bad Barney Fife isn’t with us anymore. He’d make a much better Governor than Andrew Cuomo.

Some good further reading on this subject: Conrad Black at National Review on why the assault on statues is really a fight against civilization.

LOS ANGELES SURGE

Los Angeles reported a surge of nearly 2600 new coronavirus cases Monday. Officials say it’s “highly likely” this is connected to all the protest crowds spreading it.

That’s strange. I was assured by over 1,000 “health professionals” that the coronavirus was a Democrat and wouldn’t spread at protests of police and racism, only at protests of government lockdowns and pro-Trump rallies.

EYE-WITNESS

Another prominent political figure made a statement to the media that seems to imply John Bolton isn’t telling the truth in his book about President Trump being weak and sucking up to China. And that prominent political figure is…John Bolton, one year ago:

WORST DEMOCRATIC QUOTE OF THE DAY

It’s getting so that Democrats these days make so many outrageous, offensive and idiotic statements that it’s hard to decide who gets the honor of Worst Democratic Quote of the Day. After New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo declared destroying public monuments and statues to be a “healthy expression” of people’s political feelings, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said, “Hold muh chardonnay!” and came out with this stunner, in criticizing the GOP Senate police reform bill:

"For something to happen, they're going to have to face the realities of police brutalities, the realities of the need for justice in policing, and the recognition that there's many good people in law enforcement, but not all. And that we have to address those concerns. So, when they admit that, and have some suggestions that are worthy of consideration -- but so far they were trying to get away with murder, actually -- the murder of George Floyd.”

Put aside for the moment that she’s suggesting she cares more about black lives than the creator of the GOP Senate bill, Sen. Tim Scott, who actually is black, as opposed to Pelosi, who is whiter than Caspar the ghost, although not nearly as friendly. Let’s examine her outrageous lie that REPUBLICANS are trying to “get away with” the murder of George Floyd.

I’ve said this before, but as a reminder: George Floyd was killed by a Minneapolis police officer, who is part of a department run by a Democrat police chief in a city with zero Republicans on the city council, where there hasn’t been a Republican mayor in 47 years. All county officials are Democrats, including the prosecutors who declined to punish that officer over previous brutality complaints (like now-Senator Amy Klobuchar.) Higher up, the Governor is a Democrat, as are both Senators and five of the state’s eight Representatives (who include Ilhan Omar!) The State Attorney General is a Democrat who’s so far left that he promoted the Antifa handbook on Twitter. And the state is so sold blue that it’s the only state that voted for Mondale over Reagan in 1984. In short, the death of George Floyd is the end result of decades of rock-solid, uninterrupted Democratic Party rule.

And Minneapolis is hardly an outlier. Look at every city in America where there is widespread crime and violence, and complaints of filthy, substandard and dangerous conditions in black neighborhoods, and look who’s been running them for years. Here’s a hint:

Say, while we’re at it, let’s look at all the celebrities currently under fire for racism for wearing blackface. See any Republicans on this list?

No, Republicans are not to blame for the murder of George Floyd. We’re just trying to clean up the Democratic corruption that led to that, the same way Republican Abe Lincoln had to fight the Democratic Southern states to end slavery. Or the way the NRA had to defend the right of blacks to own guns to protect themselves from the Democratic KKK. Or the way Republican President Dwight Eisenhower had to send federal troops to then-Democratic Arkansas to enforce public school desegregation…

You know, it’s suddenly starting to dawn on me why Democrats are so eager to rewrite or erase all of American history.

TUESDAY PRIMARY UPDATE

Here’s a round-up of some of Tuesday’s primary results. Unfortunately, AOC won her party’s nomination, so we’ll likely have at least another two years of her in Congress. Some politicians are like bed bugs: once you have them, you can never get rid of them. Also like bed bugs, they’re crazy. At this writing, it appears likely that they will also replace incumbent Eliot Engel with a far-left “progressive” endorsed by AOC.

I can’t explain why New York voters, having been saved from the blight and decay of leftism by Rudy Giuliani, would actually vote to bring back the crime, garbage, homelessness and urine smells of the Dinkins years. But they elected, then reelected Bill DeBlasio to do it, and now they’ve once again nominated the woman who celebrated driving away 25,000 Amazon jobs from her own home district and voted against the Payroll Protection Act. I have to assume there was a lot of overlap between those DeBlasio and AOC votes.

Well, as H.L. Mencken once said, “Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and they deserve to get it, good and hard.” New Yorkers are certainly getting what they voted for these days, and they’re getting it good and hard. I just wish they’d stop inflicting it on the rest of us.

2020 to date, has truly been the year of perfect sight ! Much has been revealed ! Now ,"We the People" who are still sane must open our eyes wider than we have ever done in the recent past and seek the truth regarding what has happened in the past and why, what is happening now and why, and what will be our involvement in our future, if we want a future. Time is running out for this democratic republic. I hope we make the right decision for our children's and grandchildren's future.

I know I will never hear it from the mainstream media, so I am asking you. Are the state’s that are experiencing an uptick in the number of Covid 19 cases states that had protest rallies? Was Antifa at those rallies? Could it be that the traveling Antifa mob is responsible for the spread of the infection? Either accidentally or intentionally?

Gov Huckabee: I wonder if it's time for everyone to pray to invoke the 83rd Psalm: A prayer for the destruction of the enemies of Israel. Of course we need to pray for the destruction of the enemies of the USA, as well. Given that they are now attacking Christianity and statutes of Jesus, as well. I believe we might come under the umbrella of the 83rd Psalm.

There is no rationalizing with the irrational or 'insane.' As I have said often over these past fifty-odd years, contrary to every talking head and elected 'representative' claiming that "The American People Are Not Stupid," the 'majority that makes up that 'vaunted' (NOT) American Electorate are STUPID! It has to be one or the other, STUPIDITY, or lazy, lethargic, apathy that has the "Silent Majority" sitting on their hands at election time! The America of today was NEVER designed to be what we are witnessing, and certainly is NOT the country I grew up in!

There is fear in the air, I fear not for myself only for my grandchildren! There is but a glimmer of hope, but that glimmer is dimming. My 'fear' is that it matters little if President Trump is reelected, as that event would only SLOW our slide to the Ash Heap of history. America has LOST the 'culture war' that has been ongoing these past fifty-odd years. We have witnessed, and are witnessing, the continued decimation of our PRIMARY underpinning, the TWO parent family.

America has 'devolved' from what was a society based on religion to what is now a completely narcissistic secular society! That catastrophic event has taken place for over fifty years, and I do not see how the good ship America gets turned around before contacting that iceberg!

In its history, Minnesota has a place that others cannot match. Their participation in the Civil War is the ultimate definition of raw courage. During the battle for Gettysburg, ammunition ran out and new supplies had not arrived before their Regiment was sent into battle. The call for “Next” brought up the men from Minnesota. Their order was to “Fix bayonets and Charge”, and they did. Taking their turn, they held the line, without ammunition. With bayonets, they held off the advancing forces in a brutal fight, at great cost to their valiant numbers. This is a far cry from the history being made today.
When we first heard about the problems in Afghanistan, we were told about how bad it was there and that they were tearing down, damaging and destroying their antiquities, their statues, their history. Are we becoming like them? Today’s history looks more like destruction; tearing down statues. These statues are somebody’s artwork. Don’t we protect the art produced by our people. Didn’t we have to keep a Jar with a Crucifix in Bodily Fluids because it was somebody’s precious art? Are not these pieces of art equally important?

This I am starting to believe whole heartly (1) patients of kids who are underage should be held responsible for there kds actions up to and including jail time for not controlling there kids, I also believe that these mayors and these governors weather they are democrat or Republicans or Independent it doesn't matter I think they should be held responsible for inviting a riot and allow these people to destory public and private property.

You have to wonder if there was any election fraud going on in NY. I just got a text from a woman named Gwen, who said that she was representing allvotingislocal.org, "I wanted to let you know FL allows you to vote by mail for any reason. To get your ballot by mail before the 8/18 primary election, visit... and a link to their website." I moved out of Okaloosa County in July of 2012, and have lived in SW Pennsylvania since. I also called the Okaloosa County bureau in 2016 to have my name removed from the registered voter list, when I received a ballot in the mail. I also wrote a physical letter to the county after I received a driver license renewal form a year later. They evidently do not want to clean up the list. So wrong!

Governor, you're probably right about "people being next". It appears the Dems are testing the approach to total anarchy by allowing rampant violence, rioting, and killing. It seems they took inspiration by the "stupid" (my opinion) movie/TV series "the Purge". Unfortunately, the Dems and those behind that are pulling their strings, no longer want to wait. They've planned these events for a very long time and now finally found the excuse to unleash insanity and anarchy. The GOP (all of them) must unite and counteract the craziness that has taken hold in our country. First PC, then language police followed by culture erasing? When will it stop? When will the GOP & their supporters stop playing the silent majority and rebuke this insane behavior? Now is not the time to worry about being perceived as "racist"; stop the violence, enforce our laws, and punish these vandals, thugs and criminal with severe punishment. Law and order must work together and they must complement each other. If the GOP (and President Trump) do not act quickly to restore peace and order, not only will they not win the November election, but much worse, we'll (all) lose our country and way of life! This is not the time to be just bystanders! Please pass along to President Trump. I'm not the only citizen that feels this way.

Mike: You, Hannity, Ingram, and too many others keep saying the American people are too smart not to reelect Trump.
    Really?
    If after all AOC has done she wins again. If after decades of failure by democrats running all these failed cities they keep getting reelected;
I say, yes indeed slightly over half of the American people are indeed that stupid.
This does not end well for President Trump if he and the GOP don't get their act together and get the message out there beyond Fox News.
And, please all you pundits start calling it the Socialist Democratic Party every time you open your mouths. And call every DNC office holder or candidate a Socialist Democratic. Otherwise these stupid voters will reelect them again.

    Gov.,
Sir, the facts are that our country is gone-up. I suggest that we all watch the movie The Postman to see how things will be. I believe Obama has achieved his objective of destroying the United States and the rest of civilized society as a tribute to his Kenyian roots. And, keep in mind, Obama was an UNCONSTITUTIONAL president. He is not a Natural Born Citizen.

I do like the song Get Over It by the Eagles. I watched the Hell Freezes Over concert the other day and caught Don Henley's introduction. They wrote the song as their antic-Politically Correct response to all that was and is going on today.

The democrats have had control of most of the nation's major cities for nearly 40 years, and these are the cities where African Americans are still held in bondage to bad schools, little opportunity to work and advance, and bad (or often no) policing.

As one wag said, the democrats have had 40 years to fix problems, but the only thing they have fixed is elections.
