We bring it: 2020 election fraud update

It’s time for an update on the Maricopa County 2020 election audit, which continues despite the tiny amount of media attention devoted to it.
Dan Bongino, through a source whom he says has “never, ever fed [him] anything but the truth,” said Thursday that the audit has turned up three big findings:
1) There are people who are still not complying with subpoenas. We reported last week that this was a problem; apparently, it continues. “Why wouldn’t you comply with a subpoena if the election was free and fair,” Bongino asks, and I think we all know the answer to that. The information turned up by the subpoena would make them look worse than the act of noncompliance does. Otherwise, they would comply.
2) A large number of files were deleted from a database ten days before the start of the election audit. Of course, this would be a YUUUUGE story if Trump, rather than Biden, had won by a razor-thin margin in Arizona and Democrats had later discovered something like this. (And how much would you bet that the Democrats would blame Russian intervention?) But even to bring this matter up and ask questions about it makes us perpetrators of “The Big Lie” (to use the term even “Republican” Liz Cheney has used) that the 2020 election was stolen. News flash: asking questions about the election does nothing of the sort.
Perhaps we’ll find out what was in those deleted files. Perhaps there’s an innocent explanation. Perhaps there isn’t.
3) Apparently, the chain of custody for the ballots was not adequate. Perhaps that would explain some of the discrepancies turned up by the audit. For example, aside from missing documentation, there are disparities between the number of ballots in a batch and the total number of ballots tallied in “pink slip’ reports. For a race in which the two candidates were separated by only about 11,000 votes, that’s a big deal.
Bongino had a great observation: “The Democrats can’t have it both ways. You can’t say on one hand, we don’t want any voter ID, we want unsecured ballot boxes, and massive numbers of ballots mailed out to people [where] we don’t know where they’re going, and complain when Republicans say, ‘Hey, but that could lead to fraud,’ and want the [potential] fraud investigated. You can’t have it both ways. And we’re not gonna play your game. Either support free and fair elections, through voter ID, secured ballots and secured locations where people can vote, or shut up.”
In other election news, recall that we reported on an organization called the Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL), which was funded to the tune of about $400 million by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. In turn, the money was used to fund grants to key states to pad their election budgets, and it definitely had strings attached. At John Solomon’s website JUST THE NEWS, Natalia Mittelstadt has a story about a report, obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request, from the Detroit Department of Elections on its use of the $7.4 million it got from CTCL.
The department was so glad to get that money, they now want it to be a yearly thing. “We created a new expectation for the public, because we significantly increased the number of ways [a] voter can vote,” their report says. (Editorial note: these also significantly increase the number of ways one can cheat.) “We have created a new normal in terms of how voters expect to vote in the City of Detroit. The funding structure established must be preserved for future elections. We are requesting grant funds for the current year.”
According to the report, three-fourths of the money was spent in the category of “poll worker recruitments funds, hazard pay and/or training expenses.” They said that the money enabled them to hire “more quality staff” because they were able to pay them more.
“We are requesting additional Grant Fund assistance for the 2021 election cycle,” the report says (again).
One thing about this request for more money leaps out at me. The original grant was specified as being for “CTCL COVID-19 Response.” The reasoning was that because of COVID-19, states would need help providing voters with more ways to exercise their right to vote in 2020. So why are they asking for the Mark Zuckerberg gravy train to continue every year? Why is this a “new normal”? Are we going to be dealing with viruses at the polls for all “future elections”?
According to the report, Detroit spent $160,000 on ballot drop boxes –- our assumption is that these were placed where CTCL had determined they should go, as happened in Wisconsin –- and also $200,000 on nonpartisan voter education. (I’m thinking we might need quotation marks around the word “nonpartisan.”)
As we wait for results of the Arizona audit, Mollie Hemingway is busy writing a full account of the 2020 election called “RIGGED: How the Media, Big Tech and the Democrats Seized Our Elections,” published not by a mainstream press but by Regnery, which brings out books of interest to the conservative market. (They published Josh Hawley’s new book about Big Tech after Simon & Schuster dropped it.)
“Americans who feel silenced, subjected and betrayed are about to learn the truth about a scandalous election,” the publisher says of Hemingway’s book.

This extremely capable, candid and courageous journalist will be shamed and likely canceled in many forums simply for relating facts and questioning what happened during the election. Of course, only Republicans are prohibited from questioning election outcomes; Democrats do it all the time. As Mollie says, “If questioning the results of a Presidential election were a crime, as many have asserted in the wake of the controversial 2020 election and its aftermath, nearly the entire Democratic Party and media establishment would have been incarcerated for their rhetoric following the 2016 election.”
Expect to see “never-before-told eyewitness stories of what really went down in 2020.” These will pertain not just to the Presidential race but also to down-ballot races. This will be a big-picture analysis, not just of Election Day vote counts but also of “how media and Big Tech oligarchs used their power to control information on the internet and to manipulate people’s behavior before and after the 2020 election.” I’m sure Mark Zuckerberg will garner a few pages.
Of course, much new information will be coming out in the next few weeks and months, so Mollie will be working down to the wire to have the book as up to date as possible for its September release. Yes, we have to wait till September –- and that means the media also have to wait for their chance to ignore it completely. “I have no doubt that the powers that worked to oust Trump in 2020 will do everything they can to suppress this book in 2021,” she said.
The CDC eases guidelines

This week, the CDC once again eased its guidelines on facemasks, saying that fully vaccinated Americans no longer need to wear masks indoors or outdoors, even in crowded spaces.

All of which is fueling the rising questions about why Democrat leaders seem so married to facemasks and refuse to remove them or let anyone else remove them. Remember, as national “leaders,” these people were among the first to get the vaccines (I’ll leave it up to you to decide if they were truly “essential workers,” but they got it first nonetheless.) So they’ve been fully vaccinated for months. But even while preaching to the rest of us that we have to obey the CDC, they continue to ignore the CDC when it says it’s safe to take off the masks.
Here’s how much this mixed messaging is confusing the public.

House Republicans are pushing back against Speaker Nancy Pelosi for refusing to lift her mask mandate for the House floor, even though all members are fully vaccinated. You can make your own mean jokes about not wanting Nancy Pelosi to take off her mask, but I won’t go there. I just want to know why she won’t allow anyone else to.
President Biden’s mask also seems welded on at times. He claims he continues to wear it to be a responsible role model, but even his sycophants at CNN are getting skeptical. They asked his spokespeople why he was wearing a mask at a meeting where everyone was vaccinated, which undermines public confidence in the vaccines’ effectiveness and in the CDC’s guidance.
The unconvincing response was that Biden is just so very important that he needs lots of extra security, which is why he has the Secret Service. That seems irrelevant, unless the agents plan to throw themselves in front of the virus. And if he’s so important that he has to be protected even from diseases he’s already been vaccinated against, shouldn’t he be wearing a hazmat suit 24/7?
My personal theory is that he can’t take off the mask because if he did, we’d all discover that it’s really Jimmy Carter under it.
Israel Update

Here’s an update on the latest escalation of violence between Israel and Hamas and Palestinian militants. Israel has begun a ground operation against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, but it’s reportedly only tanks and artillery. Israel says no ground troops have entered Gaza, but 9,000 reservists have been called up and at least three brigades have massed on the border.
Since Hamas began firing missiles into Israel, the Iron Dome defense has blocked about 90% of the missiles, but even so, the rockets have killed one Israeli soldier and six civilians, including one child. Gaza reports at least 109 Palestinians killed, including 28 children, but Israel says many of those may be due to Hamas’ own missiles misfiring.
Also, for those trying to draw equivalencies or say that Israel is the aggressor/oppressor: please note that Hamas is deliberately shooting missiles at unarmed civilians. Israel is targeting known Hamas militant headquarters, which they deliberately place amid civilians to use them as human shields.
Leftist Fake News

Remember Florida state data technician Rebecca Jones? She was given a friendly forum on numerous occasions on CNN and MSNBC because she was making accusations that she was fired for exposing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ plot to manipulate the state’s coronavirus numbers to make them look better than they were. She was treated as a heroic whistleblower and a martyr to a corrupt Republican regime.The liberal outlets loved her because she allowed them to negatively compare DeSantis to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
Problem: Cuomo actually did what she accused DeSantis of, and DeSantis did not.
Charles C.W. Cooke at National Review Online dug deep into this story, and he declared that Jones is not a whistleblower, a data analyst or an epidemiologist: she’s a fabulist with a history of making wild, retaliatory false claims. These include calling police who came to her home to seize computers “Gestapo” sent by DeSantis, and claiming they pointed guns at her and her children. Bodycam video shows that nobody pointed any guns at anyone.
Jones was heavily promoted by Democrats and liberal media outlets, which helped her raise a large amount of money through various GoFundMe accounts, but Cooke reports that her claims were all a giant pile of lies. She responded that Cooke’s investigative piece on her is a “smear campaign,” but she didn’t elaborate on what he might have gotten wrong. If you’d like to read more, click the link.
Or you could just go on believing what CNN and MSNBC told you about her because after all, only people who watch conservative news sites believe disinformation.
Formal complaint filed in the House

House Democrats have been thundering for months about how they want serious repercussions for their House colleagues over the January 6th violence in the Capitol. Well, they might get their wish:
The Daily Caller reports that a group of House Republicans has filed a formal complaint with the House Ethics Committee against more than two dozen Democrats who made unsubstantiated accusations that Republican members led suspicious groups on “reconnaissance” tours in preparation for the riot. The complaint mentions a letter from New Jersey Rep. Mikie Sherrill and 33 other Democrats to the Capitol Police, requesting an investigation of these allegations. The Democrats have never been able to provide any evidence to back up the claims, and the Capitol Police never responded to them.
I know what you’re thinking: asking a “House Ethics Committee” that’s run by Democrats to investigate an ethics complaint against Democrats will result in more layers of hilarious irony that you’d find in a rerun of “Seinfeld.” But at least the Democrats are finally getting what they asked for.
Stefanik replaces Cheney

This morning, as expected, House Republicans elected New York Rep. Elise Stefanik to replace Rep. Liz Cheney as GOP Conference Chair, the #3 Party leadership position in the House.
Stefanik had Trump’s endorsement and was considered the shoo-in, but at the last minute, Texas Rep. Chip Roy announced that he would vie for the job, too. Roy is a solid conservative, a member of the House Freedom Caucus and former chief of staff to Sen. Ted Cruz. He pointed out that Stefanik actually voted for Trump’s agenda less often than Cheney did (77.7% of the time to Cheney’s 92.9%.)
Stefanik vowed to "save our country" from the "radical Democrat Socialist agenda,” and said her unifying goal is to win back the House in 2022. Good luck to her in that endeavor.
Georgia election case

While the media have been devoting so much of their energy to ignoring, mocking and suppressing the election audit in Arizona, there’s another legal challenge flying under the radar in Georgia that could flip control of the Senate back to the GOP.
As Bryan Preston at PJ Media reports, this case doesn’t make any charges based on anecdotal reports of stuffed ballot boxes or other disputed claims. It’s based on the provable yes-or-no question of whether the voting machines used in the January Senate special election that two far-left Democrats won met the required statutory standards under Georgia law. The plaintiff insists that they did not.
As in other such cases, the powerful Democrat law firm of Perkins Coie is reportedly trying to get involved to fight the lawsuit because if the voting machines were not acceptable under state law, both races would be invalidated. That means Republicans would reassume the Senate majority until there could be new races, and having seen what the Democrats started pulling the second they thought they were in power, a lot of Georgia voters might not be so keen to put them back onto power.
To be clear: this is a longshot case, but the man bringing it, Michael Daugherty, has fought and won longshots before. His company was once accused of civil charges that were actually caused by cyber criminals. He discovered it was a set-up and not only beat the charges, he forced the FTC to change its procedures on how it treats accused citizens. So he actually fought the Deep State and won.
