MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace apologized for asking a White House reporter how he resists “the temptation to run up and wring her neck,” referring to the President’s press secretary, who (full disclosure) is also my daughter. I will take Ms Wallace at her word that her apology was sincere, but I’m not letting her off the hook so easily until we examine the mindset that gives rise to such casual violent rhetoric and force her, and others in the media, to do a little more self-examination and, as the old bumper sticker read, to make sure their brains are engaged before putting their mouths in gear.

First of all, if anyone would be justified in wanting to wring a few necks in that room, it’s not the reporters. They don’t have to go out every day and face nasty, badgering, often frankly idiotic questions, many times repeated endlessly even after they’ve already received an answer or a reason why they can’t be answered at that time. They don’t have to try to show respect for people who pose as guardians of the First Amendment and bastions of journalistic integrity when we all know they spent eight years as lapdogs to the last Administration; that many openly renounced even the semblance of fairness and objectivity during the last election; and that some of the biggest names in the room have embarrassed themselves repeatedly by running poorly-sourced rumors and leaks that they later had to retract, all because any story that’s anti-Trump gets them too excited to think, like waving a piece of bacon at a Chihuahua.

The rest of the story

By Mike Huckabee

Remember when Paul Harvey used to tell us “the rest…of the story”? Well, when the New York Times ran an op-ed this week denouncing CIA Director nominee Gina Haspel, they forgot to include the surprise twist in the background of the author. So here’s the rest…of the story!

CNN and MSNBC give tens of millions in free publicity for porn star's lawyer

By Mike Huckabee

An analysis by the Washington Free Beacon found that over the past two months, CNN and MSNBC have given so much airtime to porn star Stormy Daniels’ lawyer that it was like giving him the equivalent of nearly $175 million worth of free publicity.

Frankly, I’m shocked. Whoever imagined that their commercial time was worth that much money? Especially when most of their programming these days is just interviews with a porn star’s lawyer.

Tim Allen returns

By Mike Huckabee

There might actually be one thing in Hollywood that talks louder than leftwing politics, and that’s money. Fans were furious after Tim Allen’s “Last Man Standing” was canceled when it was still ABC’s #2-rated sitcom. ABC claimed it had nothing to do with the fact that LMS was the only prime time show featuring an outspoken conservative. It was just that due to rising costs, it was impossible to make it profitable.

But then something happened that the TV industry never imagined: ABC rebooted “Roseanne,” and Roseanne Barr refused to knuckle under to Hollywood group-think and had her blue-collar characters be unapologetic Trump voters. The result was massive ratings (who imagined that airing a show that didn’t savagely insult half the potential audience might be a good business move?) And now, Fox has signed Allen and the rest of the cast to revive “Last Man Standing.” Just in time, too: with all the new “genders” proliferating like rabbits, Allen might be the last person on network TV who even identifies as a man.

    Hi Mike,
I watch the Huckabee Show! Love it! I love TBN.
Just wanted to comment on your daughter. It seems like so many people are inciting hate and bodily harm. Makes me wonder what is wrong with people. These are supposed to be professional people too. The world has gone upside down, but the bible (Our Lord) tells us it will in the last days. Our Lord is absolutely amazing that he wrote it all down for us. I don't see any main stream media news cause its all lies and hypocrisy but what I do see of your daughter I think she does the best she can and is very honest in her speeches, and when people come up against her which I run into some who do. I stick up for her. It's just sad that the media supports all this hate and bodily harm, I really believe they actually believe their own lies. Like the bible says in revelation. God will send a strong delusion so they will believe the lie. Their hearts are cold Mike, and the Lord said it would be so in the last days.
