And now, for something completely different:  The Non-DNC-Convention News!

By now you know the story about the female Secret Service agent who, just five minutes before the arrival of President Trump’s motorcade for a North Carolina rally, left her post to breastfeed her baby.

We call this “Lactate-gate,” and it’s a story we likely would never have known about without some internal leaks.  Oh, yes, and we intend to milk these jokes for all they’re worth, while keeping you abreast of all new developments.

Seriously, folks, this is a real story, reported by top Secret Service reporter Susan Crabtree at REALCLEAR POLITICS.  The site agent, in charge of security for the event, discovered this agent, from the Atlanta field office, breastfeeding her child in a room that had been dedicated to “official work” by the Secret Service.  She had given no notice that she would need to do this.  She was there in the room with two of her family members, who presumably would be caring for the baby when she went back to her post.

As reported by the DAILY CALLER, “She and her family reportedly bypassed the Uniformed Division  checkpoint and were escorted by a staff member, who was not cleared to be there, to the room, according to Crabtree.”  If they can’t even keep track of their own staff, how are they supposed to be following possible security risks in the crowd?.

Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Gugliemi --- who has shown himself not to be credible and whose name, we would point out, cannot be spelled without the letters “l-i-e” --- said the incident did not affect the event.  Well, what if something HAD happened, and they had needed her at her post?

Believe it or not, this incident happened just over a month AFTER the assassination attempt on Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, in which one attendee, firefighter Corey Comperatore, was killed and two others were seriously wounded.  We thought Trump’s security was supposed to be stepped up after that.

Over the weekend, you might have seen the photo --- a screenshot from a video, actually --- taken by a rally attendee and released by Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna that appears to show Trump’s shooter walking at a distance from the crowd with his rifle tucked under his arm.  The image is blurry, but it’s hard to imagine what else it could be.

This adds questions about how the shooter got to the roof with that gun (did he just toss it up there before using the air conditioning unit to boost himself up?) and, most importantly, why the Secret Service did nothing about him when he was quite visibly walking around while carrying a firearm.

And now, we find that the body of the shooter (whose name, by editorial decision, we do not mention) is “gone.”  I am not kidding --- it’s been cremated.

Louisiana Rep. Clay Higgins, a member of the House Bipartisan Task Force on the Attempted Assassination of Donald J. Trump, included this fact in a preliminary investigative report, which also describes in detail the exchange of gunfire.  But there’s other evidence he wasn’t able to include.

“My effort to examine [the shooter’s] body on Monday, August 5, caused quite a stir,” he wrote, “and revealed a disturbing fact…The FBI released the body for cremation 10 days after J13.”  In other words, the body was “disappeared” by July 23, but nobody even knew about this until August 5.

It’s hard to imagine what we might have learned from the shooter’s body, but now we’ll never know.  They really should’ve held onto all the evidence, because the Comperatore family has hired legal counsel, and it’s going to look bad in court when we learn how much they “disappeared.”

And more than just the body disappeared.  From Rep. Higgins:  “The FBI cleaned up biological evidence from the crime scene, which is unheard of.  Cops don’t do that, ever.”

Higgins wrote, “Yes, Butler County Coroner technically had legal authority over the body, but I spoke with the coroner, and he would have never released [the shooter’s] body to the family for cremation without specific permission from the FBI.”  He said the FBI’s actions “can only be described by any reasonable man as an obstruction to any following investigative effort.”

An FBI spokesman has said the agency is “surprised” and “disturbed” by these comments, saying that everything they did was “conducted according to FBI procedures.”  Sorry, but others in a position to know are disputing this.  The release of the shooter’s body was done so quietly as to seem surreptitious.

Even worse:  As you know, the Secret Service and the locals were on different radio transmissions, when for obvious reasons that shouldn’t have been the case.  Rep. Higgins noted that radios had been set aside for the Secret Service (USSS) by Butler County tactical command but the Secret Service did not retrieve them.

“The radio comms were properly and perfectly arranged during the extensive pre-mission planning,” Higgins wrote.  “On J12 [the day before], the Butler County ESU Commander personally reminded the USSS counter-sniper teams to pick up their assigned radios at the ESU Command Post RV, which was positioned according to planning at the Butler Fairgrounds, the following morning before 1100 hrs.  It didn’t happen.”

While critical of the Secret Service, Rep. Higgins praised the Butler County officials for their professionalism and also their transparency, saying, “Those gentlemen had nothing to hide, and they were 100% accommodating despite my rather intense demands on their time and resources…”

The Task Force says it will deliver a final report before December 13, and Higgins promises that “every question will be answered, every theory explored, and every doubt erased” about the near-assassination of President Trump.  That’s quite a tall order, ‘cause BOY do we have doubts.

Investigative reporter Julie Kelly, who has immersed herself in the J6 pipe bomb story, wonders how the shooter at Trump’s rally had the training to also make explosives.  It reminds her very much of the Gretchen Whitmer aborted kidnapping case.

In that case, as the group was starting to fall aparat, an undercover FBI employee posed as an explosives expert “to show the guys, hey, we can really do this.”  This employee showed them a video of an SUV being blown up, and this video happens to have been produced by the FBI.  “This is the extent that they will go to, really endangering people,” she said.

“How did this 20-year-old kid --- and now, they don’t have any chat messages?...baloney.  I’ve seen this in J6; this is impossible...There is no doubt in my mind that [the shooter] was in communications with probably an FBI informant, undercover agent, or an asset from another department including DHS.  He was training at a rifle range where DHS employees, other government employees trained.”

“It has all the hallmarks of another set-up,” she said, “but this time, their target got away from them.”

“This is what the FBI has been setting up in all of these domestic terrorism cases,” Kelly said.  “And this is the result, and it’s still terrifying to think of what could’ve happened to Donald Trump that day.”

It’s important to note, and Kelly does, that she “can’t say this declaratively” but based on what she’s seen in all her investigative work, she believes this shooter “absolutely” had an FBI handler.  She also believes that both of the J6 pipe bombs, at the DNC and RNC headquarters, were planted.  (Recall our stories from last week, with new video that essentially disproves the “official” story of bombs planted the night before.)

The Trump shooter was “the typical target,” she said, a loner, “sort of an oddball,” and then he becomes a marksman and explosives expert.  He “knows how to manage a drone and get away with it.”

“This is classic what we’ve seen out of this FBI, really for decades, but especially more recently.”  They are CREATING the so-called domestic violent extremists, she said.

Again, Kelly acknowledges she can’t definitively prove this, but it’s what she has come to believe after years of investigating January 6 and the FBI.  Unfortunately, the video ends before she addresses the implications of the FBI enlisting someone to take out a former President and current presidential candidate.

Julie has compiled some of her video interviews from the past week; the links she includes are all highly recommended.  One of them, from Dan Bongino’s radio show, recaps what we reported last week about the new J6 pipe bomb evidence.

Investigative reporter Steve Baker at THE BLAZE says his sources --- guys who train Secret Service snipers and counterassault teams for a living --- tell him this shooter “shows signs of the type of grooming, and [say], I quote, ‘I recognize my own handiwork.’”  He’s one of those “disaffected young men,” like the ones in other countries they generally target for grooming.  “They’re telling me that the [possibility] of him not being groomed exists, but that it’s highly improbable to the Nth degree.”  See his interview here; the most pertinent information is in the first 20 minutes or so.

RELATED:  Former Secret Service agents have been telling the DAILY CALLER that security failures on January 6 stem from a lack of preparation and “not accurately anticipating” the necessary manpower, even though the potential for chaos was obvious.  Let me see...wasn’t it President Trump who authorized 10,000 National Guard and was ignored?  Ironically, Trump seems to have been the only one genuinely concerned with keeping order.

Judging from their lack of response, one would think chaos was what they wanted.  If not the rank-and-file, then somebody at the top.

RELATED:  FBI whistleblower Steve Friend says he’s learned that an FBI field office in a midwestern city recently hosted a meeting with local law enforcement officials and announced to them that their chief counterterrorism priority is...(drum roll, please!)...white supremacy.  That’s the big threat.

Friend also is concerned that the FBI is going to slap a “classified” label on the investigation of the Trump assassination attempt, and then refuse to be transparent “because you don’t have a need to know.”  He doesn’t trust them on any investigation, let alone this one.
