Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who looks as if she’s never been out of a metro area in her life, suggested that we should do away with eating beef because the methane gas that cattle…uh, “expel”…harms the environment. So some people who actually know something about agriculture examined the problem. They discovered that adding a small amount of seaweed to cattle feed reduced cow methane emissions by up to 82%. Let’s celebrate! Pass me a cheeseburger! And some seaweed!
Say, I wonder if adding a little seaweed to the food at the Congressional cafeteria would cut the emissions of toxic gas from our political figures?
How is this possible?!? Unless...

As noted elsewhere in my newsletter, the military is forcing troops to undergo intense training to recognize and root out “extremists” from their ranks. So how is it possible that U.S. Special Operations Command just hired a new “chief of diversity and inclusion” and somehow failed to notice that he’d written extreme anti-Trump Facebook posts, including one comparing President Trump to Hitler, as well as an image promoting Marxist “equality” theory, which promotes the radical equality of outcomes over the traditional American belief in equality of opportunity?
Do they only care about rightwing "extremists?" Or is hiring leftwing extremists just part of “inclusion” now?
Do the polls show that a majority of Americans support Joe Biden?

In his first press conference, President Biden tried to justify some of his radical left measures by claiming that polls showed a majority of Americans support him. I pointed out polls that rather decisively disproved that, showing for example that large majorities support election integrity measures such as voter ID laws and think the border situation is a crisis, and that his Rasmussen approval rating was in negative territory and falling. But for those liberals who refuse to believe Rasmussen’s results, no matter how accurate they’ve proven in the past, here’s a new ABC poll that even that Biden-loving network admits contains “warning signs” for Biden and the Democrats.
Fifty-seven percent of adults disapprove of Biden's handling of "the situation with migrants and unaccompanied children showing up at the US-Mexican border," while 54% think it’s currently a “crisis” (another 42% think it’s a “serious problem but not a crisis,” which tells me they haven’t been keeping up with it very closely.) All together, that’s 96% of Americans who think it’s either a serious problem or a crisis; and despite the White House’s claims that they inherited the problem from Trump, the situation was stable just three months ago, before Biden got his hands on it.
Another 57% disapprove of Biden’s handling of gun violence. That includes 86% of Republicans, 56% of independents and even 37% of Democrats, although Democrats think he isn’t pushing more gun control fast enough, while Republicans think he’s pushing it too much.
Biden does get high approval marks for his handling of the economy and COVID vaccine distribution, but ironically, a rebounding economy and the multiple vaccines and their distribution system are all things that he really did inherit from Trump.
As for his campaign promise to be a bipartisan unity President (try to keep from laughing until I finish, thank you), only 30% think he’s making the country more united (maybe they misread that as "untied.") Forty percent think he’s making it neither more nor less divided, and 30% think he’s making it more divided. I can’t help thinking that last number would be a lot bigger if he didn’t have virtually every mass media outlet running cover for him.
But reality is a tenacious thing, and you can only cover it up for so long before people start noticing that they’re being bamboozled. Like the Administration’s increasingly desperate attempts to cover up the disaster Biden has created at the border, even if it means literally leaping in front of cameras to try to keep them from showing it.
Recurring Stimulus Payments

Having gotten a taste of how much control you can have over people if you shut down the economy and make them dependent on government handouts, a rising number of legislators want to keep the “free money” spigot open wide and send recurring “stimulus payments” until the pandemic is over, particularly to “Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities,” because what would a “progressive” program be without some unconstitutional racial preferences?
Now, maybe you’re thinking, “Wait a minute, haven’t they already run the national debt up to dangerous levels that threaten the entire economy?” Don’t worry, they have a solution for that: Debt no longer matters. According to the latest school of leftist economic “thought,” money isn’t connected to anything of real value, it’s just an imaginary construct created out of thin air. So why not simply have the Treasury create a couple of coins, declare them worth $1 trillion each, and make more as needed to cover all the benefit checks? What could possibly go wrong?
If you point to nations that tried to print money to get out of debt and suffered from hyperinflation, depressions and the complete crashing of their economies, you’re accused of “whataboutism” or are told that doesn’t apply here for some reason, as the US apparently has the power to ignore the basic laws of economics. We have truly put the inmates in charge of the asylum (and yes, I know I’m referring to Washington, DC, as an insane asylum.)
Say, here’s an idea: instead of endless government handouts to people suffering because the economy is shut down, how about opening up the economy (which was booming under Trump until they were “forced” to shut it down – for two weeks that turned into a year) and let them go back to work. In places that are doing that, the economy is already roaring back while COVID is not. If leftists can’t fathom that, here’s how it works. It starts with letting Republicans run the government.
