BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY

The Supreme Court Refuses To Hear Cases That Demand Their Attention

By Mike Huckabee

I can see why Democrats didn’t even bother pretending to claim that they want to expand the Supreme Court because of its workload. Our current SCOTUS is handling that issue by simply refusing to hear a lot of cases that truly demand their attention.

We had two examples on Monday. First, the SCOTUS refused to consider a lawsuit challenging the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s power to change mail-in voting laws on the now-familiar grounds that it’s “moot” because the election is over.

I honestly don’t understand this argument unless it’s fear of stirring up attacks from the left on anyone who doesn’t robotically swear that the last election was the “most honest, trustworthy, warmest, most wonderful election I’ve ever known in my life.” Even if this election is over, another is coming up, and if nobody settles the question of who’s allowed to write election laws (which I thought we settled by agreeing on Constitutions), then it’s just going to happen over and over again, each time eroding more public faith in the honesty of the outcome.

The SCOTUS also rejected a gun rights case that it should have taken up. The SCOTUS has previously ruled that there can be limits on the Second Amendment, such as barring convicted felons from owning guns; and this appeal was brought by three convicted felons who lost their right to own firearms. But theirs were nonviolent crimes totally unrelated to guns. One was convicted of DUI, another of importing and selling counterfeit cassette tapes, and the third of making a false statement on her income tax form (I assume that’s how the Democrats plan to ban all of us from owning guns.)

Yes, those are felonies, but are they really the type of crimes that should cost someone their Constitutional right to self-defense for life? The Court should at least weigh in. Particularly since the Democrats are arguing that violent felons should get their right to vote returned, but selling fake Milli Vanilli cassettes should cost you your Second Amendment rights permanently.

Here Is An Interesting Twist

By Mike Huckabee

MyPillow founder Mike Lindell is now suing Dominion Voting Systems for $1.6 billion.

Dominion filed a $1.3 billion defamation suit against Lindell in February, claiming that his claims that there was rigging in their vote counts damaged their reputation. Lindell’s lawsuit claims that by suing or threatening to sue dozens of people and media outlets for outrageous sums, Dominion is engaging in “lawfare” or abusing the legal system to intimidate and punish people into giving up their First Amendment right to criticize Dominion or question the election.

Dominion called it a “meritless retaliatory lawsuit,” but Lindell has some pretty good attorneys on his side, reportedly including Harvard law professor emeritus and First Amendment expert Alan Dershowitz.

I’m not a lawyer or legal expert, but personally, I’d rather make the case that Dominion Voting Systems is trying to silence its critics than try to argue that the damage to Dominion’s reputation is worth $1.3 billion. I’ve talked to enough people to suspect that their opinion of the value of their reputation is, shall we say, inflated.

More on this story coming soon.

Multiple Narrative Fail

By Mike Huckabee

Sunday, after hearing of a fatal police shooting in Burnsville, Minnesota, dozens of Black Lives Matter protesters held a kneeling protest outside the Governor’s Mansion. But about an hour later, they suddenly got up and left, with some saying they needed to get more information about the shooting.

Those cynics amongst us suspect that they beat a hasty retreat because they’d already gotten some information about the shooting. Mainly that the suspect was a white male who was shot by the police after he opened fire on the officers.

At the link, Grant Atkinson untangles the various false BLM narratives that this episode illustrates.

Perfect Example Of A "Gaffe"

By Mike Huckabee

I’ve often told you my standard definition of a “gaffe” in Washington: that’s when a politician slips and accidentally speaks the truth. Well, here’s a perfect example:

The White House is furiously back-pedaling after President Biden went off script and referred to the crisis he’s created on the border as a “crisis.”

Democrats Are Working Hard To Cement Their Power

By Mike Huckabee

The Democrats seem to understand that when you’re ruling against the will of the people and the interests of your own nation as radically as they are, they won’t have much time to force their agenda through before they get thrown out of power. So we’re seeing a flurry of activity to try to cement their agenda before the voters give them the bums’ rush they deserve (opening the borders, grabbing guns, silencing criticism, legalizing vote fraud, showering trillions of dollars on pet projects and supporters, etc. etc.) Keeping up with it all can be a little overwhelming.

So just to make sure this one doesn’t slip through the cracks, here’s another reminder that they also want to pass a federal law modeled on the disastrous AB5 California law that would ban state right-to-work laws, shut down up to 45% of small businesses, destroy the gig economy, and throw tens of millions of gig, contract and freelance workers out of work.

President Biden, knowing that the bill would be filibustered in the Senate, hid this time bomb in his $2.5 trillion “infrastructure” bill. So just be aware that not only are everything from child care to paid leave now considered “infrastructure,” so is putting gig workers on the unemployment line.

"I am not a legal expert"

By Mike Huckabee

Whenever I comment on legal cases, I always make sure to preface it by warning, “I am not a legal expert.” Maybe I should cite that admission as a qualification to land a job on CNN as a legal expert.

Huge Congratulations

By Mike Huckabee

Huge congratulations to Beth and Rick Hutchinson and their nine-month-old son Richard, who is poised to set a new Guinness World Record.

Richard was born prematurely at 21 weeks, and he was only 10.63 inches long and weighed less than a pound. Doctors gave him a 0% chance of survival. But with the help of the doctors and staff of Children’s Minnesota hospital in Minneapolis, and I’m sure a lot of prayers, he’s being called a miracle baby. He’s now 24 inches long, and his mom says he’s a “happy little amazing person.” After his first birthday, he will officially be recognized as the smallest baby ever to survive.

It’s a testament to the advances in modern medicine, Baby Richard’s will to live, his parents and doctors’ refusal to give up on him, and also to the fact that every life, even the smallest, is sacred and precious and can grow up to be a blessing to the world if only given a chance to live.

A Reader Writes Back...

Thank you Governor Huckabee for telling it like it is. Thankfully I don’t have any grandchildren still in school. Our country and schools are going to ruin our children.

I read your emails ever day and shake my head in disgust over so much of it.

Again, thank you for your honesty. It is truly appreciated

Thank you for the great information that you put in your newsletter. This is the first time I have signed up for it and it helps me in a big way to read some of the things that you put in there that I didn't know. I can't watch any of the mainstream news stations. Love the conservative ones like News Nation and Newsmax and sometimes Fox. Thank you for telling the truth.

I really hope Mike Lindell wins his law suit. I also wonder how long the American people are going to sit back and allow someone like Maxine Waters to get by inciting violence. After the way they treated the only real peoples President Trump, and falsely accused him of inciting a riot she should be recalled. She is not fit to serve the people of this country. What can you expect when Eric Swalwell was sleeping with a communist spy and dear old Pelosi said she had no problem with him continuing to serve on committees where he had access to national security information. I don't know how to make it happen but the conservatives in this country need to say enough is enough. We need to take back our country. Any suggestions Mike Huckabee. I am listening.

I don't understand the supreme court at all. President Trump worked so hard to get what most people considered to be decent conservative individuals to serve on the supreme court and it seems to me they have everyone turned out to be traitors. They are still in my opinion leaning more toward the liberal side. Do they not have guts enough to stand up for what they know to be right? I think people all over the US should do like I did and write to these individuals and let them know what we think of their job performance. After all their salary is paid by tax dollars. They work for all 328 million Americans just like every other politician. They should hear from the people they serve.

AOC (Sandy) Pelosi Schumer and the left Democratic Party all seem to hide their true beliefs behind a plethora of words . The left Democratic Party are working hard to change the meaning of our English language. Telling us a riot is not a riot. A crisis is not a crisis. An illegal alien is not an illegal alien They work hard at trying to convince Americans that what we see and hear is not true . They work daily to try and deceive the American people. In other words, they lie. And liars hate their victims. It's in the book of Proverbs.

Time to send missionaries to our border which is ripe with people needing to hear the gospel. Would our government allow it .... or would our current government react more like China and not allow it. We send missionaries to foreign people.....right now the foreign people are coming to us. The harvest is ready. Would our good Lord want us to go?

I am not surprised as the Marxists are following their game plan Cause unrest by spreading lies thru their useful fools.
The Scotus us now a Star Court.
They have a drugged up puppet they drag out when needed. The wicked witches are sitting in the background.
They will have effectively taken over by the end of the year
Only God and His real followers are the only effective enemy they have
I have noticed many American conservative blogs being flooded by trolls and sheeple.
We better get to praying and following the Bible that has God's game plan!!

Dear Gov. Huckabee: Maybe if Mike Lindell takes his counter suit to a court jury trial all the evidence he and others have concerning voter machine fraud will come out in public as evidence!
This will get around those courts, including SCOTUS, that should have heard evidence but apparently don't have the stomach for it.

I am so disappointed with SCOTUS. I thought they were supposed to be defenders of the Constitution, and they have been when it comes to some liberal point of view like Roe v. Wade. But they have abandoned the Constitution and the people of the United States when they chose to deny writs to hear the lawsuit filed by Texas joined by 18 other states challenging the 2020 election. They again abandoned the Constitution when they refused to rule on the case involving Pennsylvania's illegal vote-by-mail laws. They ignored the Bill of Rights when they refused to hear and rule on the case involving the unconstitutional infringement of the 2nd Amendment rights of non-violent felons who were seeking to exercise their rights. The SCOTUS has clearly turned into a political hack to do the bidding of the leftist Democrats. So disappointing. With this, the Constitution and the rule of law is falling into oblivion. I don't see this turning out well.

I have to tell you...I am so disgusted at what’s happening in this country right now I don’t even want to live here anymore. I have two bi-racial granddaughters & live in a parish in LA that is notorious for racists police. We literally live in fear of the police here & I am a white person! The republicans keep advocating...just wait till the elections of 2022! Are you serious! By that time this country will be so far gone & screwed up by the Biden/Harris administration & leftist liberal democrats it will take decades to recover (if ever). I personally see NO light at the end of this tunnel! Wait & see policies don’t do anything for my hope or trust because (except for a small handfull of politicians like Rand Paul, DeSantis...) most of the republicans are worthless! And I’m sure I’m not the only conservative that feels this way. SMH

Great show on Saturday. As the nation watched today's verdict of Derek Chauvin & Minneapolis celebrated, I still believe this trial should of been moved to another location. Don't get me wrong, it was an awful tragedy to witness. To see the disgusting actions of Mad Max Waters & Pelosi defending her is disgusting as members of Congress. And of course Biden's remarks before the verdict was out of line. But we're dealing with the controlling democrats. There are 2 more police cases coming up, what then?? The far left newspapers & media constantly used the word racist, so now every instance will be called racist or a racist act. What about all the violence, looting, & businesses destroyed across the country? Democrats are breaking this country & deminizing the republicans. May be there will be more $27 million settlements. Democratic propaganda at its best. Let's not forget Floyd was no angel, but he didn't have to die this way. All of this is far from over now that the Congress & White House has the opinions on these matters. What happens if/when Chauvin's lawyer goes for an appeal because of Mad Max Waters? Mistrial?? Was this a fair trial? The mobs also threatened to destroy if they didn't get the right verdict, this is intimidation! Did the jurors feel the intimidation or plain scared.

Dear Governor, what is wrong with this President? Systemic racism, systemic racism, systemic racism, and on and on. Is he a mindless parrot bent on dividing this country more than before the Civil War? He said his soul was in unity for this nation during his January 20th speech and yet has done absolutely zero to back up that claim. I do not see this horrible country he portrays every time he slurs a few racial swipes at the USA. I see a noble nation that strives to improve every single second and has shown this struggle for good since it's founding. President Joe Biden needs to stop tearing this country apart with his WOKE daily policies and his constant hate speech directed at loyal, patriotic citizens who don't see America as a den of evil.

There are two perfect defenses against any charge of slander, libel, or damage to reputation. The first is better known and consist of proof that the statement alleged to be damaging is true.
The second is less well known, but the one Dominion Elections Systems should lose overwhelmingly. That being that the plaintiff lacks a reputation capable of being damaged, whether or not allegations are proven.

You share with your heart and mind; I thank God for blessing you with love of country, our Constitution, its' peoples and our beautiful land from coast to coast and from sea to sea.
I hope this makes you laugh---the head of the Supreme Court uses the word "Moot" a lot and you have repeated what he says often. I grew up with Italian neighbors and heard that word often.
Finally I asked my neighbor what does that mean. I was seven at the time and curious. He said I will tell you but I never want you to repeat it. I promised. Now that he is gone to his heavenly reward, I am sharing. He said it means SH_T.!

    Love your insight!
If election fraud cases are moot points after the fact, and suits can't be filed before the fact, what does that leave?
The supreme Court is a misnomer.
