BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY

Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.

Psalms 62:1 KJV

Under Fire

By Mike Huckabee

The co-founder of BLM has been under fire recently for spending millions of dollars on expensive homes in largely white upscale areas. Her flabbergasting response was to imply that she’s standing up to racism in the housing market by using black homeownership to disrupt white supremacy.

https://redstate.com/jeffc/2021/05/17/blm-founder-co-founder-patrisse-cullors-laments-white-supremacy-in-housing-market-after-buying-luxury-home-n381877

This excuse ignores the fact that criticism of her lavish lifestyle is also coming from the left, with questions about how all those millions in donations from rich liberals and woke corporations that poured into BLM are being spent, since they’re not going to help local black communities.

In addition to the article, I’d also like to call attention to a lengthy comment on this story from a reader who claims to have been a Realtor licensed in two states. This person called “Bull(bleep)” on the claim that Realtors discourage black buyers from buying homes in white areas. He/she pointed out the ruinous fines Realtors can face for discrimination and pointed out that they work 100% on commission and none would turn down a paycheck just because they won’t sell a house to a minority.

Case in point: apparently, the co-founder of BLM had no trouble buying houses in very white areas. All she had to do was show a lot of green, and what do you know? She had it.

US Chamber of Commerce is becoming more "progressive"

By Mike Huckabee

The leadership of the US Chamber of Commerce is becoming more “progressive.” So much so that in 2020, they endorsed the reelection of 23 freshmen Democrats. Now, they’re complaining that most of those very same Democrats are supporting far-left bills that would harm business, like the “PRO-Act” that would devastate small businesses and contract workers.

https://redstate.com/bonchie/2021/05/17/republicans-tell-the-chamber-of-commerce-to-pound-sand-n381929

The US Chamber of Commerce still has a lingering reputation for being conservative and pro-business, but many small business owner supporters don’t realize how far left it’s drifted. It’s so far off course from its original mission that House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said he doesn’t even want the Chamber’s endorsement anymore, and Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton accused them of acting as a “front service for ‘woke’ corporations.”

If you’re a business owner and a member of the US Chamber of Commerce, it might be time to reexamine whether they’re really representing your interests anymore. If not, let them know that if they don’t “get back to where they once belonged,” you’ll be heading for the Exit door.

"Domestic Terrorism"

By Mike Huckabee

Long overdue, the FBI quietly classified the attempted assassination of Rep. Steve Scalise and other House Republicans by a deranged Bernie Bro as what it actually was: not “suicide by cop” but “domestic terrorism.” Nice to learn that they’re still able to recognize that crime if you point it out to them forcefully enough.

Biden diverts $2 Billion

By Mike Huckabee

Well, now we know how the Biden Administration will pay for dealing with the flood of unaccompanied migrant children that poured in when President Biden reversed all of Trump’s border security policies: by diverting over $2 billion in federal funds allocated for emergency medical initiatives for Americans, such as COVID-19 testing.

Here it is: Update on challenges to Maricopa audit

By Mike Huckabee

On Monday, during their “special” meeting in advance of the Tuesday meeting called by the Arizona State Senate, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors insisted that no files had been deleted pertaining to the November 3 election. It had been asserted that the main database was deleted just days before the equipment was delivered for audit. The county recorder, in the prepared letter he read into the record, and which was unanimously accepted by the Board, claimed that he had seen with his “own eyes” that all the records were delivered --- that nothing had been deleted.

As told by the Board of Supervisors on Monday, if the “Ninjas” (the Cyber Ninjas, one of four companies who are auditing the election) said they couldn’t find records, it’s because they have no experience auditing elections and “don’t know what they’re doing.”

But now, the audit team is reporting that they have recovered the deleted files. To those who suggest the people doing the election audit don’t know what they’re doing, I would suggest that perhaps the auditors are doing fine and should be allowed to do their job.

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/05/data-files-reportedly-deleted-arizona-providing-senate-auditors-may-recovered-audit-team/

This is being reported in a very different way by most media who are even choosing to cover it at all, as here in AZCentral, which also includes an update on the Tuesday meeting that the Board of Supervisors chose not to dignify with their illustrious presence.

https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/politics/legislature/2021/05/18/arizona-audit-senate-meeting-maricopa-county-recount-tuesday/5139031001/

News accounts –- especially the headlines –- are making it sound as if the files never were deleted, just discovered later, casting doubt on auditors’ claims. But in this report, Ben Cotton of CyFir, one of the firms doing the audit, is quoted as saying, “I have been able to recover ALL OF THOSE DELETED FILES [emphasis mine] and I have access to that data.” His wording certainly suggests those files were deleted...by someone. But it’s also possible they just hadn’t looked for them in the right place till now. (As with everything else, they’re always in the last place you look.) We’ll continue trying to find out what happened with the files.

The Arizona state Senate has the authority and responsibility to supervise the state’s elections --- something the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors needs to remember --- but that hasn’t stopped Biden’s “Justice” Department from getting involved. On May 5, Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Pamela Karlan wrote to Senate President Karen Fann to say that based on news reports and complaints her department had received from unnamed individuals, DOJ officials are concerned about “at least two issues of potential non-compliance with federal laws” relating to the election audit.

Karlan wrote, “We have a concern that Maricopa election records, which are required by federal law to be retained and preserved, are no longer under the ultimate control of elections officials, are not being adequately safeguarded by contractors, and are at risk of damage or loss.”

Here’s a little background on Karlan, courtesy of THE EPOCH TIMES: She was appointed to Biden’s DOJ earlier this year after being a Stanford University law professor and also a member of Facebook’s oversight board, the one that hears appeals from those banned by FB (not a good sign). She also testified in favor of Tump’s impeachment in 2019. So her inappropriate involvement in state business on behalf of Democrats should surprise no one. She's quite a vicious anti-conservative; read it here.

https://www.dailysignal.com/2021/05/15/trump-antagonist-opposes-arizona-election-audit-as-justice-department-official/

To make her letter to Sen. Fann even more predictable, Karlan played the race card: “Past experience with similar investigative efforts around the country has raised concerns that they can be directed at minority voters, which potentially can implicate the anti-intimidation prohibitions of the Voting Rights Act.”

Ah, so making sure the Trump-Biden vote count was accurate might intimidate minority voters from voting in...what, the 2020 election? Unless minority voters have access to a time machine, that’s nuts. And, even going forward, I’d like to know how this audit would intimidate minority voters from participating in any election at any time in the future –- at least if they’re qualified to vote and aren’t cheating. Please tell me, how are they intimidated? Don't THEY want to know the vote is accurate? I honestly want to know.

J. Christian Adams, a former DOJ Civil Rights Division attorney who now heads the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF), told Matt Tapscott at THE EPOCH TIMES that those at the federal level who interfere in the Arizona state Senate’s business are “partisans who will twist the law for the sake of political power.”

https://www.theepochtimes.com/doj-intervention-in-maricopa-county-audit-lacks-constitutional-authority-experts_3820537.html

Maricopa County is the fourth-largest county in the U.S., and Biden's margin of victory was 49.4 percent to Trump’s 49.1 percent. In other words, it was a squeaker. Across Arizona, the margin was likewise razor-thin, under 12,000 votes. As we’ve reported, auditors have said that, with only about 20 percent of the ballots audited, they’ve found multiple problems, including “no chain of custody for ballots, ballot batch counts don’t match with actual ballots, deleted databases, cut security seals, ongoing non-compliance with subpoenas and more.” During their meeting on Monday, the County Board of Supervisors denied the problems and refused to comply with subpoenas.

Adams wrote to Sen. Fann on May 7 to advise her that Karlan is “an ideological extremist with a long history of partisan enforcement of civil rights laws, as well as rank scholarly dishonesty...[who] wants you to believe the Justice Department is engaging in a normal exercise of federal power under federal voting law. It is not.”

The “scholarly dishonesty” he mentioned refers to a 2009 Duke University Law School journal in which Karlan wrongly claimed that during five of the eight years George W. Bush was in office, not one Voting Rights Act case was filed by the DOJ. She never retracted her mistake, and this fact should bear on her credibility now.

Adams pointed out something really significant; namely, that “the Justice Department has never –- in the entire history of the existence of the Civil Rights Division –- interfered in or investigated an election audit because its past leadership has understood it has no legal authority to do so.” In other words, the DOJ should BUTT OUT.

As for concerns about voter intimidation, Adams noted the Voting Rights Act addresses only direct intimidation, threat or coercion of voters. This audit does none of that. As Adams wrote to Sen. Fann, “Karlan is offering an absurd and implausible interpretation of Section 11(b) of the Voting Rights Act --- one intended to intimidate you –- that no court could possibly uphold as correct.”

THE EPOCH TIMES also spoke with constitutional law authority Hans von Spakovksy, another DOJ veteran who is also a PILF board member, and he said he does’t expect the DOJ to resort to a court order to stop the audit, at least if they’re thinking rationally. Why? Because they have no legal basis to do this. Still, he said, if Karlan “thinks she could get away with it and use a lawsuit to stop the legislature from doing this by out-lawyering and out-resourcing them, I have no doubt she would go ahead with it.”

My guess is that she will, “legal basis” or not, with help from Marc Elias and scores of other attorneys. There’s no rationality among such rabid partisans, and they’ve been known to get their way.

regarding deleted files being recovered in spite of Maricopa County official claiming he "saw everything delivered with his own eyes" (the absurdity of that statement in itself is mind-boggling - you can't "see with your own eyes" the absence of 1 database file in the midst of thousands of files on a computer system), what Ben Cotton of CyFir stated during his report was that he "saw indications in the Master File Table (MFT) of a deleted database file".
A MFT is somewhat analogous to a Table Of Contents on a hard drive and keeps record of files and address on the disk where the file starts. Deleting a file removed the start or header block for the file in the MFT, but leaves the file intact on the disk, just without a starting address. Recovering the file involves examining the raw content of the disk to discover the starting block or address and following the blocks to the end of the file.

    Lost Words From Our Childhood
Mike, I thought you may get a kick out of reading this. Brings back memories.
Mergatroyd! Do you remember that word? Would you believe the spell-checker did not recognize the word Mergatroyd? Heavens to Mergatroyd!
The other day a not so elderly (I say 75) lady said something to her son about driving a Jalopy; and he looked at her quizzically and said, "What the heck is a Jalopy?" He had never heard of the word jalopy! She knew she was old ... But not that old.
Well, I hope you are Hunky Dory after you read this and chuckle.
About a month ago, I illuminated some old expressions that have become obsolete because of the inexorable march of technology. These phrases included: Don't touch that dial, Carbon copy, You sound like a broken record, and Hung out to dry.
Back in the olden days we had a lot of moxie . We'd put on our best bib and tucker, to straighten up and fly right.
Heavens to Betsy! Gee whillikers! Jumping Jehoshaphat! Holy Moley!
We were in like Flynn and living the life of Riley; and even a regular guy couldn't accuse us of being a knucklehead, a nincompoop or a pill. Not for all the tea in China!
Back in the olden days, life used to be swell, but when's the last time anything was swell? Swell has gone the way of beehives, pageboys and the D.A.; of spats, knickers, fedoras, poodle skirts, saddle shoes, and pedal pushers.
Oh, my aching back! Kilroy was here, but he isn't anymore.
We wake up from what surely has been just a short nap, and before we can say, "Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle!" Or, "This is a fine kettle of fish!" We discover that the words we grew up with, the words that seemed omnipresent, as oxygen, have vanished with scarcely a notice from our tongues and our pens and our keyboards.
Poof, go the words of our youth, the words we've left behind. We blink, and they're gone. Where have all those great phrases gone?
Long gone: Pshaw, The milkman did it. Hey! It's your nickel. Don't forget to pull the chain. Knee high to a grasshopper. Well, Fiddlesticks! Going like sixty. I'll see you in the funny papers. Don't take any wooden nickels. Wake up and smell the roses.
It turns out there are more of these lost words and expressions than Carter has liver pills. This can be disturbing stuff! (Carter's Little Liver Pills are gone too!)
Leaves us to wonder where Superman will find a phone booth...
    See ya later, alligator! Okidoki.
You'll notice they left out "Monkey Business"!!!

having been a realtor in Georgia for 40 plus years I will tell you there is a federal law that we abide by that says we must treat all people the same and not stop or discourage them from buying in a white or black neighborhood. we could lose our license or be sued for doing that. there is a term for it and its similar to steering.

I see now the Republicans playing checkers while the left are masters at chess. Enough on the left to continually play the RNC. I agree with another person who suggested a scorched earth policy and rebuild the Republican Party to become a true populist party. Trump made mistakes because he never checked his appointees character and truly vetted them. A glaring weakness. I pray for God to raise up real real leaders. The institutional Church is now the " emperor has no clothes" we definitely need to decide if we stand for God or continue to be seduced by the forbidden fruit

    Governor Huckabee-
THANK YOU for covering all the staggering current events that this lost generation is so deviously railroading the essential Christian and patriotic citizen into directions we want no part of - morally or socially...I supported you in your Presidential bid. I often wonder about this country if the outcome was different. But your coverage of the AZ Audit is SO important! No one else is covering this HUGE event! Please continue! I'm waiting with baited breath!

The CCP/DEM, party picked the dumbest man and woman for the Oval Office and some "how" won the election. As America is becoming the target of our enemies it is becoming easier to have America bullied by lesser countries. Russia China Iran even North Korea and a few more countries are waiting for biden and harris to weaken the country more and more each day these 2 wake every day the country gets weaker WHEN do we as a country get rid of these 2 they have done enough to hurt America for at least 3 lifetime prison terms.

It is just too bad that the FBI has been taken over by political hacks. All of the election "irregularities" should have been investigated by them long ago. I just hope things change back for the better for our children and grandchildren. Obviously, what they have in mind for the next generations is not going to be good.

    Gov. Huckabee:
I still do not understand the fundamental conflicts among Maricopa County officials, the AZ legislature, and the auditors.
Why aren’t they all on the same page? Why the antagonism between the county and the state? Who is stirring the pot? Please explain.

NYC wants to become normal NO way that will happen until the people become somewhat normal and elect a Conservative Gov. and Mayor for the city. The louts they have now are a complete failures and if the people of New York like it that way let it be. The city and state will continue to fail till nothing is left. Only when New York State's population completes the 12 steps of sobriety and elect Conservatives to operate the daily functions of government will the city and state flourish until then continue to rot with your elected officials.

Regarding the Maricpoa County elections audit: 1) why should we believe the one county recorder who says everything was handed over when hundreds of sworn affidavits from conservative poll workers claiming fraud, irregularities, and suspicious behavior were ignored. 2) if Karlan thinks there is an issue with safeguarding ballots, she should be furious over the fact that ballots were received already tampered with: seals were broken prior to receiving, etc.
