Attorney General Jeff Sessions is warning colleges that he is starting to take an interest in the failure of campuses to prevent leftwing thugs from using the threat of violence to prevent conservatives from exercising free speech.
Frankly, it’s about time the Justice Department laid down the law on this issue. We live in a nation of laws, not a mobocracy. There is a long history of the DOJ prosecuting those who would conspire to prevent others from exercising their Constitutional rights. In the past, they have prosecuted fascists and racists who target minorities, and there is no reason that a conspiracy of leftist thugs should escape justice just because they claim to be “anti-fascist” while behaving like fascists.
And in case you think I’m just a partisan overstating the case, here in part is 18 U.S. Code 241, defining the federal offense known as “Conspiracy Against Rights”:
“If two or more persons conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same; or if two or more persons go in disguise on the highway, or on the premises of another, with intent to prevent or hinder his free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege so secured, they shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both…”
Sound like anyone we know?
Sincerely,
Mike Huckabee

Fix your eyes on the pole
By Mike Huckabee
This morning is the annual “Fix Your Eyes On The Pole” observance, in which about a million students across the US and worldwide will fix their eyes on their campus flagpoles and say a prayer. It’s inspired by Hebrews 12:2:, which describes Christians “fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith…”

Federal judge strikes down abortion law
By Mike Huckabee
A federal judge has struck down an Indiana law signed by then-Governor Mike Pence, banning abortions based on the baby’s sex or whether it had Down Syndrome. The judge ruled that because the reasons were non-medical, the state’s interests were not strong enough to override a woman’s right to a pre-viability abortion.
The decision to allow abortions based on gender, race and disability was celebrated by Planned Parenthood and the ACLU. I’m sure that somewhere, Planned Parenthood’s founder is looking down…or up…and smiling to know that her disciples are still fighting so hard for eugenics.

Abortionist's horrifying admission
By Mike Huckabee
I have to warn you: this story about abortion goes into graphic detail about what the procedure involves. It has to, because it involves a legal dispute in Texas in which the state is trying to stop an abortion method on unborn children so sick and inhumane that you would be arrested if you killed an animal that way. Naturally, Planned Parenthood and abortion rights activists have gone to court to keep doing it.
I wonder whether they are more upset at being told not to do this or at the chance that the public will learn the details of what they are doing. If abortion clinics really believed that what they do is right and defensible, then why are they so terrified at the thought of the public learning exactly what it is that they do?

The Guggenheim bows to outside threats
By Mike Huckabee
The Guggenheim Art Museum is paying the price for the lesson leftwing colleges and city officials refused to learn: when you knuckle under to threats of mob violence and silence free speech, it only encourages the mobs to become more aggressive in their demands, no matter how utterly ridiculous they may be.
