What I learned from the Democrats...

March 21, 2017

After watching Monday’s Congressional hearings with FBI Director James Comey and National Security Agency Director Michael Rogers, this is what I learned from the Democrats on the Committee and in the media:

1. The lack of any evidence known by the FBI that Barack Obama personally ordered the electronic surveillance of the Trump campaign is proof that it never happened, so Trump should retract this spurious accusation and abjectly apologize to Obama for slandering a US President.

2. The lack of any evidence known by the FBI that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to affect the outcome of the 2016 election or any evidence found by the NSA that Russia altered any vote totals is proof that we need to keep expanding the investigations until we find such evidence.

3. James Comey’s FBI investigating the Trump campaign is reason enough to declare Trump unfit to serve because where there’s smoke, there’s fire. However, James Comey’s FBI investigating Hillary Clinton for leaking classified documents to America’s enemies was a politically-motivated witch hunt.

The Democrats seem so desperate to blame their loss on anything other than voters rejecting their bad candidate and failed policies that they have transformed from apologists for Russia into the kind of 1950’s-style cartoon McCarthyite paranoids that Hollywood likes to make movies about. Mark Steyn probably had the best line. He said he expects the Democrats will next demand that we rebuild the Berlin Wall and make Russia pay for it.

Meanwhile, Democrats who hoped to turn the hearing into one of their typical public-character-assassinations-by-innuendo ran into a form of pushback they’ve never had to face before: the President of the United States live-tweeted his rebuttal in real time. Pass the popcorn!

During this hearing we have learned that people can unknowingly be used by [Russian operatives] to further their interests and do their bidding. Why, then, is the investigation being limited only to Trump's campaign team? If anyone can be taken advantage of, why aren't they including the Clinton campaign team as well? Who on the Clinton team met with Russian operatives and why and what was discussed?

Thanks Mike, for being the voice of reason. I pray every day for our country. Not because Donald Trump is President, I think he may be rough around the edges but I also think his heart is in the right place. I pray becuase inn my 66 years on this earth I have never seen the likes of what's happen in the US now. It's heart breaking.

Mr. Huckabee, you are so right. I cannot fathom how Comey can sit there with a straight face and pretend he is not lying. He has lied since he refused to prosecute Hillary for her illicit server. I hope President Trump fires him SOON!!! Thank you for your continued support of our great President.
