BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY

We need to take this seriously

By Mike Huckabee

In the wake of George Floyd’s death, the superintendent of the Webster Groves school district in Missouri engaged in some of the currently-popular virtue-signaling and white guilt-mongering by writing a blog post claiming that the school district contributes to inequitable systems which clearly disadvantage black students and practice white privilege.

He probably thought that talk was cheap, but he might soon learn differently. The group Parents Defending Education says his blog post is a public admission that the school district practices racial discrimination in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights act of 1964. So they filed a federal civil rights complaint.

The group’s president, Nicole Neily, said that when the head of a public school openly admits to running a racist system while taking state and federal money, that’s illegal. She said many people told her the Biden Administration wouldn’t take the complaint seriously, but “I hope that is not the case because civil rights are not a partisan issue.”

A huge salute to her and her organization for holding liberal officials to the same standards they impose on everyone else. Seems to me that the Biden Administration now has two choices: either take the complaint seriously and launch an investigation (as the Trump Administration did against Princeton under similar circumstances), or admit that all the public self-flagellation from white liberals about systemic racism and white privilege is just a lot of divisive political theater that they don't really take seriously.

I look forward to either outcome.

Watch my interview with President Trump

King and Ginger Howard will tell us about their important new book on healing America’s racial divisions. Magician of the Year Greg Gleeson will come straight from Vegas to astound you. Set your DVRs because this is a show you’ll want to keep.

It all starts tonight at 8 and 11 EST, 7 and 10 CST, and Sunday at 9 EST/8 CST, on TBN. Fedex shooting update

By Mike Huckabee

The FBI has named the person who (allegedly) killed eight people and wounded others in a shooting at a FedEx facility in Cincinnati before killing himself. But as per our standard practice of not giving murderers free publicity, we will not name him.

I’ll just tell you that he was a 19-year-old male who was known to local and federal authorities. It’s not clear what connection he had to the FedEx, if any. A family member had contacted authorities to warn that he might have a potential to commit violence, but it’s also not known what, if anything, was done about those warnings.

This will undoubtedly give proponents of “red flag laws” more ammunition. It makes sense that if someone close to a person sincerely believes they might be a powder keg waiting to blow up, that authorities should check it out. There have been other previous mass shootings where the police had clear warnings and did little or nothing. So why are red flag laws so controversial?

Because proponents of such laws tend to want to make them overly broad, so that any accusation can rob someone of his Second Amendment rights, even if it’s false. Critics see it as a backdoor way for the left to brand all its political opponents as dangerous insurrectionists so they can disarm them en masse. But they’d never do something like that, right?

More than one side to a story

By Mike Huckabee

I grew up hearing, “There are two sides to every story,” so you shouldn’t make up your mind until you hear both sides. Sometimes, there are even more than two sides. But these days, it seems that a lot of powerful forces want us to believe there’s only one side to every story – theirs. It does make it a lot easier to make up your mind about things if you don’t have to be bothered with listening to other perspectives, particularly those of police officers.

But I like to think that what these attempts to censor unapproved viewpoints mostly accomplish is to create free publicity for them. For instance, if the publishing giant Simon & Schuster didn’t feel the need to virtue-signal to the left by distancing itself from a book by one of the cops involved in the Breanna Taylor shooting, telling his side of the story, I probably wouldn’t have even known it existed. But now I do, and I can pass along information about it.

Also, a big salute to the independent Post Hill Press for standing behind its decision to publish the book instead of caving to pressure. They’re giving the world a much-needed example of how publishers used to act when they were like books and had spines.

Crickets from Biden

By Mike Huckabee

Friday, President Biden was set to perform a milestone for all Presidents: his first greeting of a foreign leader at the White House. But when Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga arrived at the front door, Biden was nowhere to be found (insert your own "Nobody's home" joke.) Suga was greeted rather awkwardly by Vice President Kamala Harris, who then gave him a tour of the place. Her performance did not get good reviews.

Meanwhile, the big question on everyone’s lips (except the media) was “Where is President Biden?”

Biden did eventually show up for a meeting and press briefing with Suga, but there was never any explanation for why he left an important ally waiting at the door – particularly an ally from a nation where protocol and courtesy are considered extremely important. As several conservative commentators pointed out, if Trump had done that, he would have been subjected to a media feeding frenzy on everything from how he was a blundering embarrassment on the world stage to questions about his health. For Biden, crickets.

Must-read article

By Mike Huckabee

This is a must-read article for students of history – real history, not the anti-American woke propaganda that passes for history these days.

It’s about a new exhibit in Texas honoring one of the heroes of the Alamo. In fact, he may have been the last man standing in the battle against overwhelming Mexican forces. His name was Jose Toribio Losoya. He was one of the Tejano defenders of the Alamo, and his story and that of fellow Tejano Texas Revolutionaries upends the slanderous “fighting-words-in-Texas” claim that the Alamo and the fight against Santa Anna were about “white supremacy.”

Democrats face Hispanic vote worries

By Mike Huckabee

Several Congressional Democrats in the Hispanic Caucus are lobbying the FCC to block the sale of a Spanish-language radio station in Miami because they believe the new owner will switch it from a liberal to a conservative format.

They’re being quite open about this being ideological opposition, possibly because they’re terrified of the jump in Hispanic support for Trump in 2020. They seem to think they own the Hispanic vote, so they should also have a monopoly on what news and opinions Hispanics hear. Rep. Ruben Gallego lamented that the community’s source of news might get “corrupted.” Funny, that’s what a lot of us think happens when you get only the left's version of the news, and there’s hardly a shortage of that in any major market.

A co-founder of the company seeking to buy the station said, “America Teve is being accused of being conservative because it is anti-Castro. We will not apologize for promoting democracy and opposing the Castro regime because we represent a community who are victims of that regime.”

He makes a good point: the reason communists hate a free marketplace of ideas is because they know their ideas can’t stand up to free and open debate. Sound like anyone else you know?

Speaking of Florida Democrats who suffer from corrupted news sources, did you hear about the Florida state Representative who was aghast over the “stunning allegations” that socialism has killed people around the world?

A Reader Writes Back... (Repeat)

It is frustrating trying to find the truth in the press. God bless you Mike and family. Now is the time for all of us to participate in the political process. I am tempted to put up signs on the front lawn but do not want my house burned down. In Phoenix, the police have been under funded for more than 20 years. We are often compared to Philadelphia. We are twice size in land area and have more population. Our police department has half the budget.

Thanks for the hard work and effort you and your staff do in these daily newsletters to help us find the truth in what is happening in our country.
I believe it is time for all good Americans to come to the aid of their country. I send a message to all Catholics brothers and sisters to realize our President doesn't speak for our Christian community. He is not the kind of Catholic the press makes him out to be. It is time to start writing those letters to the sitting President of the US Bishops Conference and demand excommunication. He is giving scandal to our Catholic faith steeped in Scripture and Tradition that is the foundation of our Faith and one in which we try to live out everyday.

Just read about Maxine Waters "rant" in Minnesota inciting violent protest. Since she represents California, what is she doing in another state telling people what to do. Is she going to be impeached for inciting a riot? She certainly should be. Like always since she is a democrate nothing will be done to her. I want to give a lot of praise to the people in Florida for the law they are trying to get passed where it will be a felony to loot, riot, stop traffic, etc. Hope the governor will pass those laws and enforce them. Every state should have laws that protect innocent people from peaceful protest that turn violent. BLM and Antifa are domestic terrorists whose "peaceful protest" always turn violent. They need to be stopped.

When I was working at GT&E we had a food event where different employees would bring foods. One was from Haiti, one from the Phillipines, several from Mexico and several from Europe. One person organized so that no one felt left out and that there was enough food

If the standard of living in Brooklyn Center could possibly get any worse it did A anti America member of our already disgraced congress maxie watters brings the lowest form of character to a city that has failed every American value. A fatal mistake was made in my opinion by two parties a criminal actor got killed while resisting an arrest and creating more criminal acts by fighting with a police officer the criminal actor paid the ultimate price while due process is not being activated by Brooklyn Center mayor. the mayor fired a city manager for suggesting due process that brings the cities standard of living to it most primitive standard

Racism, my foot! It is the racists themselves that cry the loudest!

What about the robbery and murder of a 75-year-old Caucasian woman by a 19-year-old Black man at 3:45A in Mansfield, Louisiana on Monday, April 12th. No riots or protests there! That lady's life mattered, too.

If it had been a black woman killed by a white man, there would be ape-type riots happening. The town would have very few businesses left.

The hotel where the lady worked is owned/operated by a middle-eastern family. They "cared" so much about her that she was working the overnight (graveyard?) shift (11pm to 7am) and ended up losing her life. My, oh, my!

According to the lady's obituary, she was the victor. She is Home with Jesus!

Thankfully, from many leads from the city residents, her shooter was captured without incident and is now in a Shreveport detention center. He's been charged with second-degree murder! (Yeah, only second-degree.)

Where are the racial protests for justice? Why aren't people of all races taking a stand for the loss of her life?

BROADCASTING ISSUE! Don't know if anyone else in the DFW viewing area is having this issue but TBN is being scrambled on the local level and is out totally on the cable level. The company is Frontier Communications with which the problem is occurring. Not only is there reception issues with TBN but both INSP and Daystar are out completely, too. I find it interesting that the stations in which the issues are occurring are religious broadcasting companies. I reached out to Frontier. All they did was transfer me to technical support, who sent me a new set-top box. Still having the same issue! Governor, Maybe you can let the TBN leadership know about this problem. They can then contact INSP and Daystar about it! This matter will take someone with more influence than me to get to the root of the problem.

You likely already know this -- but the FEDEX shooting was in INDIANAPOLIS -- not CINCINNATI.

I live in Cincinnati and know for sure it was not in our city -- Indianapolis is about a 2 hour drive from Cincinnati.

Hello, we tried to watch Huckabee on TBN at 8:00 Saturday evening, but received a message that the channel was "temporarily unavailable." Our provider is Comcast Xfinity, with TBN on channel 1661 in central CT. (One other channel, 1668, had the same problem.) When we called Comcast technical support, they were unable to help.

We'll try to record it at 11:00 this evening and tomorrow evening if necessary. It would be interesting to know if others report similar problems.

A few thoughts. I am a boomer so remember MLKs death and the death of the Civil Rights movement. I also remember Johnson signing the civil rights bill and the poison pill in it. The Democrats turned Communist then and now hope to enslave all citizens for the globalists to rule over
The racial problem is in the blue city ghettos
The answer is in God and His people.
There are very few of us. Latest Gallup poll shows only 4 percent of Americans are Christians with a Biblical world view.
America will be saved at a great cost. The swamp has taken over and infected all institutions and most people. Even many churches in the Bible belt are falling to CRT!
