Today's Commentary --- Devin Nunes to Trump: Ask Theresa May about the spying --- Pray for our fellow Americans -- TREASON --- Congressional Sociopath -- Majority of Democrats are Sea Sponges --- The War against Faith on College Campuses --- Laura Ainsworth responds to Elizabeth Warren -- Avenatti charged again, remember when the MSM took him seriously -- Evening Edition -- Daily Verse
In the latest development regarding the Steele “dossier,” ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee Devin Nunes of California has sent a letter to President Trump asking him to talk with British Prime Minister Theresa May about her country’s role in spying on American citizens working for the Trump campaign. He’s even put together a helpful list of questions for the President to ask her during his upcoming visit to the U.K.
Nunes said on HANNITY Wednesday night that we can be sure someone was “running operations” on foreign soil (British and possibly Italian, that we know of) against Trump campaign people. This might have been done by the American government, the British government, or some other entity. Members of his committee have been asking the FBI about this but to no one's surprise have not gotten any answers.
Nunes pointed out that President Trump will be heading to London in a couple of weeks and will spend some time with the Queen. Nunes himself has “spent a lot of time with intelligence officials from the U.K.,” he said, and he got the impression that they must know more.
Pray for our fellow Americans
By Mike Huckabee
I hope you’ll join me in saying prayers for our fellow Americans who were in the path of this week’s Midwest tornadoes. Last night, a large and destructive tornado struck Jefferson City, the capital of Missouri. At this writing, it’s not clear how much damage it’s caused or if there were any casualties, but damage is feared to be “catastrophic.” An earlier tornado near Golden City, Missouri, is reportedly responsible for three deaths.
This is a breaking story, so watch the news for more this morning, and please be prepared if you are in an area prone to tornadoes, because the season is here with a vengeance. Here’s some information on preparedness that you should read now, before a tornado strikes your area.
And don’t forget to pray for the victims and to help the first responders with a gift to Samaritan’s Purse and the Red Cross.

From listening to the Democrats over the past couple of years, I was under the impression that if you were in national politics and you colluded with the anti-American leaders of a hostile nation to try to harm the United States, including peddling false stories on social media, that was “TREASON!!” and you should be impeached and, at the very least, be thrown in prison for life.
So, does that still go when former Obama officials and their Democratic allies in Congress are discovered to have been colluding to repeat anti-Trump talking points taken directly from the mullahs in Iran, designed to undermine Trump’s efforts to pressure Iran into giving up its pursuit of nukes? Because that kinda sounds like they’ve been doing pretty much what they spent two years falsely accusing Trump of doing.

There’s a report that a member of Congress with one of the highest staff turnover rates has been described by former staffers as a “narcissistic, egomaniacal sociopath” who creates an office culture of "shouting," "emotional manipulation," and "the chucking of office supplies" and who insanely expects staffers to be awake whenever he emails them, even if it’s the middle of the night.
Now, here’s the hard part: try to guess which Congressional narcissistic, egomaniacal sociopath it is before you click the link.
Majority of Democrats are Sea Sponges
By Mike Huckabee
Warning: this story involves Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, but I promise, it isn’t really about her. Remember when she said that “the world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change”? When many expressed skepticism, she said, “For everyone who wants to make a joke about that, you may laugh, but your grandkids will not.” And then, when skeptical mockery reached critical mass, she did a 180 and claimed she meant it as “dry humor,” and that Republicans who didn’t realize she’d been speaking sarcastically were like humorless doofus Dwight from “The Office” and had “the social intelligence of a sea sponge.”
Okay, that’s just the set-up – I told you this story wasn’t really about AOC. It’s about a new Rasmussen survey that found that two-thirds of Democrats seriously believe the United States has only 12 years to aggressively fight climate change or there will be “disastrous and irreparable damage to the country and the world.” AOC’s (allegedly) sarcastic 12-year deadline claim has also been repeated seriously by five of the Democrats running for President, including top candidates Bernie Sanders and Kamala Harris.
Please note that I did not compare Bernie, Harris or other far-left Democrats to sea sponges. AOC said that. I would never say that because sponges are useful creatures that are capable of absorbing and retaining things.
The War against Faith on College Campuses
By Mike Huckabee
I get so many stories about bias and retaliation against conservatives and people of faith in universities that I can’t even print all of them. But this account of what it’s like for someone who is openly Christian to try to earn a Ph.D. these days is such an eye-opener, it’s a must-read.
This is by Dr. Corey Miller -- yes, he finally got his doctorate, but he was forced to leave America and go to Scotland to escape the leftist/atheist persecution and blackballing in American universities. He is now the head of Ratio Christi: Campus Apologetics Alliance, a group that places defenders of the faith on campuses worldwide, and when necessary, goes to court to defend the rights of Christians against blatant discrimination and persecution on campus. They recently won two federal court victories.
In this article, Dr. Miller quotes Abraham Lincoln as saying, “The philosophy in the classroom in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next.” There's a chilling thought. We’re already seeing the terrible effects in our government of letting our schools be turned into indoctrination centers by leftists and atheists. It’s high time Christians began using the rights they still retain under the Constitution to fight back and stem this ominous trend while the Constitution is still standing. Good luck to his group in their fight.

My response to Elizabeth Warren
By Laura Ainsworth, Staff Writer
Hi, folks. Instead of passing this story along to the Governor for comment, I decided to answer Elizabeth Warren's diatribe against FOX News myself, as she does not deserve a polite response and the Governor is much nicer than I am. When Warren said “no” to a townhall on FOX News, she must have decided that she’d also try to outdo Hillary Clinton’s infamous “deplorables” comment. Here’s what she said about FOX News (and, by implication, the people who watch it):
Warren: “Fox News is a hate-for-profit racket that gives a megaphone to racists and conspiracists—it’s designed to turn us against each other, risking life and death consequences, to provide cover for the corruption that’s rotting our government and hollowing out our middle class,” she adds. “Hate-for-profit works only if there’s profit, so Fox News balances a mix of bigotry, racism, and outright lies with enough legit journalism to make the claim to advertisers that it’s a reputable news outlet. It’s all about dragging in ad money—big ad money.”
Avenatti charged again, remember when the MSM took him seriously
By Mike Huckabee
Michael Avenatti, the sleazy porn star lawyer who was once practically the face of CNN because of his eagerness to go on TV and besmirch President Trump, and who was lauded as a serious presidential contender himself, is facing new legal charges. In addition to the charges he’s already facing for alleged extortion and ripping off clients (charges that could bring a combined 400 years in prison if convicted), he’s now accused of ripping off even the woman who made him (in)famous.
Federal prosecutors in New York have charged Avenatti with wire fraud and identity theft for allegedly stealing a nearly $300,000 book deal advance from his client Stormy Daniels, whom he misled into a failed lawsuit against Trump, leaving her so desperate for funds she had to embark on a tour of strip clubs. Yet, look who stands naked before the public now.
Greg Gutfeld had the best comment on this: he used to think that the worst life decision you could make was doing porn, but that was only second-worst, after hiring Michael Avenatti as your attorney.
The story above includes some of the lavish praise for Avenatti from many of the same “reliable media sources” who bleated breathlessly for two years about Russian collusion and who are now telling us that Trump obstructed justice and should be impeached. But just in case you’d like to relive the evidence of their wisdom and good judgement of people’s character on video, here’s a montage from Memory Lane.
