POLL:  Did President Trump make a good choice to replace Justice Kennedy?

---------------------------------------------

Here’s Monday’s “comment of the day,” from Kendra Strecker, who sent it on the heels of Friday’s public hearing with FBI agent Peter Strzok and my suggested follow-up questions:

“Mike, I have 4 dogs, 2 cats and about 14 deer I pick up “poop” from daily and I can say this, I WOULDN’T WANT TO BE THE GUY WHO HAS TO CLEAN UP THE “POOP” IN THAT ROOM!! Another thing I’d like to say, If President Trump (whom I support 1000%) would JUST ORDER ALL THE DOCS RELEASED, maybe we wouldn’t have to go through this “poop” at all!!”

Yes, Kendra, there was plenty of poop flying around in that hearing room, not just from the witness but from all those who were trying every legal or procedural trick in the book to help him avoid answering questions. Never mind the smell of Trump supporters at the Walmart --- the smell of the testimony and general behavior in that room must have been been disgusting. I think we can all give a hearty amen to that.

Kavanaugh update

By Mike Huckabee

If you’re keeping count of laughable Astroturf protests of Judge Brett Kavanaugh, first we had the multiple choice protest signs, then the Women’s March press release with the “fill in the blank” name that was still blank. Now add this to the list: at least 21 newspapers in 12 states, including such major papers as the Washington Post and the Dallas Morning News, published letters to the editor claiming that if Kavanaugh is confirmed to the Supreme Court, “everything that we hold dear as a nation will be at stake.”

But here’s where it turns weird: the letters were absolutely identical...even though they were all signed with different names! And hold on to your hats because now we’re getting into “Twilight Zone” territory: not only do three major liberal anti-Kavanaugh groups deny any knowledge of the letters, but when one editor contacted the woman who emailed it to him, she denied knowing anything about it.

I can only assume that they’re afraid that if Kavanaugh joins the SCOTUS, he will vote to ban form letters and snake oil, which seem to be the only two things in America the people behind this campaign actually hold dear.

Trump and Putin meet

By Mike Huckabee

At this writing, we’re still waiting for President Trump to begin his historic summit meeting with Vladimir Putin. I’ll write more about that for the evening newsletter. Until then, to help you prepare, there are some topics that are likely to be up for discussion.

Former CIA Director schooled by HS kid

By Mike Huckabee

Obama's former CIA Director attacked Congressional Republicans for expecting top FBI investigator Peter Strzok do his job properly by citing fake news from 1864. He got schooled by a high school student who knows how to use Google. The country’s in the very best of hands!

Feinstein the right-winger

By Mike Huckabee

California is so in the grip of leftists that, due to their jungle primary system, voters will have only two choices for Senate: left and lefter.  And while polls show the majority of voters back longtime Democratic incumbent Sen. Dianne Feinstein (she beat second-place finisher, far-left state Sen. Kevin de Leon, by 32 points in the primary), the state party’s executive committee voted overwhelmingly Saturday to endorse de Leon.  That’s right: California state Democratic Party leaders have moved so far to the left that Dianne Feinstein looks like a right-winger to them.

De Leon released a statement reading, “The nation’s most accomplished Democratic Party is leading the call for a new generation of leadership who will fight to advance a bold agenda.”  While the Democratic establishment is probably most terrified of the “new generation of leadership” part, the rest of us should be more concerned about that “fight to advance a bold agenda.”  We’ve all seen their bold agenda: open borders, abolishing immigration enforcement, releasing criminal illegal aliens to prey on law-abiding citizens, economy-killing taxes to fund unsustainable big government giveaway programs, and all the other leftist ideas that have failed spectacularly for over a century, but they think they’re being “progressive” for still believing in them.

As for California having the “nation’s most accomplished Democratic Party,” I suppose that’s true if you consider it to be an accomplishment when your policies result in the middle class and small business owners fleeing the state, the highest income inequality in America (the gap between rich and poor is now greater in California than even in Mexico or Guatemala), the highest poverty rate, and rankings as the worst state in which to do business (Chief Executive Magazine) and the lowest quality of life (Business Insider.)  And all this in a state whose nickname was “The Golden State” before they got hold of it.  Further proof that leftist policies tarnish everything they touch, even gold – and California’s Democratic leaders think the solution is to move even further left.

They do realize that if they move any further left, they’ll fall into the ocean, right?  That would probably be a great blessing to the citizens.
