The hilarious conservative satire site The Babylon Bee is considering a defamation lawsuit against the New York Times.

Tyler O’Neil of PJ Media has much more on the story, but in a nutshell: the Times has been part of a desperate effort by leftist media, social media and “fact-checking” sites to mislabel the Bee’s obviously fake, humorous stories as “conservative disinformation” or “misinformation,” to get them banned from Facebook and other platforms. This included a jaw-dropping “fact-check” of a Bee story about CNN buying an industrial-sized washing machine to help them spin the news more efficiently.

(Quick show of hands: is anyone reading this dumb enough to think that’s an actual news story?...Didn’t think so.)

Yet the Times recently ran a story accusing the Bee of having “trafficked in misinformation under the guise of satire.” That story linked to a Times profile of the Bee that never made such an accusation. It was yet another example of the New York Times trafficking in misinformation under the guise of news.

I can understand why the Times and other liberal outlets have a hard time telling the difference between satirical stories about themselves and real stories about themselves. My staff and I know only too well that they're working overtime to make it impossible for comedy writers to think up jokes that are goofier than their real policies and statements. And after four years of watching nothing but Colbert, Trevor Noah, John Oliver, Jimmy Kimmel, etc. etc. etc., they’ve probably forgotten what real humor even looks like.

Add to that the left's absolute zero ability to laugh at themselves, and expecting them to be able to recognize genuinely funny satire of the left is like asking your dog to do your taxes.

Considering the New York times and most of the rest of the media, the "Enquirer" outshines them in credibility.

I won’t even place ads in the New York Times anymore because of their anti-American “fact checked” reporting, or should I call it storytelling?
