Is Donald Trump Sincerely Pro-Life?

May 12, 2016 |

Protecting the lives of unborn children has always been of vital importance to me, and I know that other pro-life conservatives are wrestling with backing Donald Trump because of his previous pro-choice statements. But he made some interesting comments about that to Bill O’Reilly. Trump said he has become pro-life due to a number of situations, one specifically. He declined to name it, but I wonder if having eight grandchildren might have made him rethink what abortion really means. It’s not uncommon for people to experience a sincere change of heart on this issue. But can Trump convince pro-life voters that he is sincere about it?

Whatever his personal reasons, Trump said he will appoint only pro-life judges to the Supreme Court. I hope pro-life voters will take a leap of faith and support Trump and that he will keep his promise to us. There is only one other alternative. And if Hillary Clinton is allowed to become President and appoint Supreme Court Justices, then it's a certainty that the lives of the unborn will have even less protection than the rights and freedoms of those who are already born.

Watch the video of Trump on O’Reilly, then share your opinion below.

I believe Mr. Trump is sincerely pro-life. I think he hesitated when O'Reilly tried to put words in his mouth and say that Roe v. Wade would be overturned, only because the only thing under his control would be the appointment of pro-life judges, and he was very clear on that. But he can't say for sure what the judges will do because he wouldn't be able to control their decisions.

We all evolve as we age. I believe that Mr.Trump is pro life. I'm praying that we come together as a nation and support him. Hopefully he will make decisions that truly reflects the will of the people. My God bless you for your faith and love of country.

I wasn't going to comment on this, but have decided to do so. I commend Mr. Trump for this change of heart, and the changes he intends to make, but what actually takes place in the future, we will have to wait and see. In regards to his statements concerning Senator Warren, her strategy and attacks were wrong, but two wrongs do not make a right. Mr. Trump has his share of enemies, and has had his share of wrong decisions and mistakes, and it will continue to be the case. I've heard him make some very vicious attacks against those who oppose him, and say some very unnecessary degrading things in order to demean his opponents. As to respect; I never listen much to peoples opinions about respect, because it always depends on whom you talk to, as to what kind of answer you get. I'm at a point where I'm very tired of the mud slinging, and cutting people to pieces in order to "win". I respect someone who can disagree, and make a convincing argument, without destroying someone to do so.

I totally agree with everything Debbie Robbins said. I have been studying Trump since you dropped out and I respect his benevolent spirit. I really believe he is on a mission to save our country, and I pray he will find the perfect place for you in his administration.

I believe Trump is pro-life. That said, I look at many factors in deciding who to vote for and abortion is just on the list. Someone could be pro-life and yet, everything else on 'my list' -they lose my vote. It takes more than being pro-life to be a good president--as I know-that you know this. Anyway-I've been a Woman 4 Trump since about 6 wks after he announced.

Governor Huckabee, I believe that Mr Trump Is man just like anyone else I believe that if he was still a Democrat he could have run as a Democrat and won easily the Democratic Party nomination fairly easy.
However as I said, I believe he is a man who through his journey of life has sincerely had a change of heart on his veiw points of what serves him best as many men do.
I believe everyone can change for good or bad so he has changed for the Good!
I try to take each man with whom I have dealings with at his word, although my dealings with Mr. Trump has always been through the media.
I have no need to feel he is dishonest.
He owns & runs many businesses. So, when everything is said, and done he is the Accountable one.
In seeing how he handles those situations he seems to be a honorable person.
My ability to speak out for or against a position, and my Vote are my only voice in this situation.
I leave the rest to my constant prayers for All of those who are in positions of Authority, and let GOD deal with it!

I believe Don Trump is pro life. And it is hypocrisy for die hard pro life supporters to doubt him, when they hug people who reformed abortions who have since moved pro life. It is also hypocrisy to claim he was a democrat and is not a "true" conservative, as if that rhetoric has any validity at all. Ask those same people if they liked Ronald Reagan?
My wife and I were staunch democrats, until democrats embraced the fringe underbelly of society and abandoned true Americans and morality. We joined the conservative party when Newt Gingrich came to the rescue with his "Contract With America". People change, I trust someone more who has changed versus a goose stepper. The supreme court will be the most important step of any in this election. People who fo not support Trump, refuse to vote for Trump, or vote for hillary or a third , fourth, or fifth tier candidate in protest is not pro life.

I am giving this man the benefit of the doubt and believe what he says. My PRAYER is that he will have the courage and wisdom to ask you, Governor Huckabee, to serve as his VEEP! WHAT AN INCREDIBLE CAMPAIGN it would be with you two on the campaign trail! You will bring the wisdom, joy, fun, moral clarity, loyalty, and solid ear he so desparately needs! It will be quite a reality show!!! FROM HOPE TO HIGHER GROUND TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!!!!
