Last week, it was reported that two Blackberrys belonging to Western-not-Russian-intelligence official Joseph Mifsud had been recovered. This was according to retired Army Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn’s spectacular attorney, Sidney Powell, who, in a brief filed last Monday, asked presiding District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan to order the government to turn over the Blackberrys' data, as it is “material, exculpatory and relevant to the defense” of her client. She had asked prosectors to provide the material, but it appears Andrew Weissmann threw her request into the memory hole.

But initial reports of this story failed to detail exactly how and by whom the Blackberrys were recovered. And that, to me, is one of the most intriguing and heartening aspects of the story.

Thanks to WASHINGTON TIMES reporter Rowan Scarborough, we have learned that it was U.S.Attorney John Durham’s investigation that turned up the Blackberrys belonging to the mysterious Mifsud, a Maltese professor who appears for all the world to have been shadowing Mike Flynn and former Trump campaign associates George Papadopoulos and Carter Page during the 2016 Presidential campaign. Powell herself was Scarborough’s source for the information.

Mifsud was part of the effort to help the FBI justify opening its “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation that was intended to catch Trump in the crossfire of their examination of Russia’s interference in our election. George Papadopoulos maintains that it was Mifsud, in London in April of 2016, who “planted” the information on him that Russia had thousands of Hillary’s emails.

Mueller’s special counsel “investigation” glossed over Mifsud, failing to mention his numerous associations with Western diplomats and intelligence figures. The FBI and Mueller proceeded on the assumption that Mifsud was a Russian asset, but now our Justice Department, led by Attorney General William Barr, seems determined to find out what he was really up to and on behalf of what government or entity. About Durham’s trip to Rome (where Mifsud was teaching), a DOJ spokesperson released this statement: “As the Department has previously announced, a team led by U.S. Attorney John Durham is investigating the origins of the U.S. counterintelligence probe of the Trump 2016 presidential campaign. Mr. Durham is gathering information from numerous sources, including a number of foreign countries. At Attorney General Barr’s request, the President has contacted other countries to ask them to introduce the Attorney General and Mr. Durham to appropriate officials.”

If you’ve read Papadoupoulos’ book, DEEP STATE TARGET, you know that Link University, the school in Rome at which Prof. Mifsud taught, was populated with numerous NATO and U.S. intel figures and seemed to him to be more of a “school for spies” than an academic destination. I recommend his book highly, especially if you’re still hazy if not downright mystified by the parts played by such shadowy characters as Mifsud and Stefan Halper. Trust me, it’ll all start making sense to you, and you'll see why Papadopoulos was suspicious of his strange international contacts from the start.  These may seem like peripheral players, but they are key to what was going on.

On this week’s SUNDAY MORNING FUTURES, Devin Nunes, ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, told Maria Bartiromo that Mifsud is “the guy --- that we should’ve gotten to the bottom of…With Mueller’s $35 million probe, we should’ve known exactly what Joseph Mifsud was up to, because he’s the one that supposedly first knew about the emails.” He wondered why Mueller, if his goal really was to look at Russian “meddling,” wouldn’t have spent the first part of the investigation getting the real story about Mifsud. He made the additional point that it would have been critical to know if Mifsud was indeed a Russian agent if he was teaching our own FBI agents at Link University! It would mean our FBI and State Department had been compromised. And if Mifsud wasn’t a Russian agent, then we must answer this question:  who WAS he working for? (I think we have a good idea.) But the Mueller report hardly looked at Mifsud at all.

Just thought you’d like to know that Barr and Durham appear to be on this case like white on rice. If you’d like a brief recap of just how Mifsud’s activities tie into the schemes of our own top FBI officials, Scarborough’s piece would be a good read --- along with Papadopoulos’ book, of course.

Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive. Do you think anyone remembers any of those things anymore? The business of the government needs to GO ON and stop all the horrendous investigations and spending all our money on them from the left.

Would be interesting to hear of any questioning of mueller about why this was ignored. Of course, I'm sure his responses would include he didn't know about it (great investigation abilities right there, mueller!) and that it wasn't in his purview. Not in his purview because, of course, they were investigating President Trump, not anything that any individual or organization/group of the democrat persuasion.

Gov. Huckabee--This was an interesting read. However, I'm getting tired and aggravated with how the information is being held back from IG Inspector Horawitz's report. This is getting ridiculous. We keep hearing "next month" or "next week" or "next Friday". When is this really going to happen? Or is it all just "smoke". The Muellar report was a nothing burger. Is this IG Report just a nothing burger? What is the hold up this time?

As usual, the investigators are doing their job...but the problem seems to lie within the RINOS who are NOT realizing how important it is to not only TELL us about what is going on but to DO SOMETHING to these criminals, spies and traitors who are trying to destroy our President and our country! I'm sick to death of hearing from our Congressmen/women on Conservative talks shows how THE AMERICAN PEOPLE need to do something. NO! THEY need to do their job and FIGHT THIS WICKEDNESS AND CORRUPTION. WE GAVE THEM THE POWER, NOW THEY NEED TO USE IT -- INCLUDING our "CHAMPION" LINDSEY GRAHAM who is "talk but no walk"!! Unfortunately for us, the DEMOCRATS have their NUMBER - WIMPS AND RINOS! And that's why they just keep doing what they've been doing -- no fear of the Republicans!

    What'a MESS!!!!
The greatest tool we still have to counter these idiots, is the ballot! They have tried every trick in the book to deceive "We the People", but so far, they have not been successful in destroying our Constitutional right to VOTE ! Don't be deceived!!!! Just go vote to clean the House, The Senate and re-elect the Man that God has given us who fights for us everyday, WITHOUT A SALARY!!! (Which is rarely mentioned!)

Thank you so much for doing what you do to keep us informed about real issues. It is so disheartening to see what the democrats (and probably a few Republicans) are getting away with on a daily basis—massive crimes and even treason. I’m afraid Congress has become the Roach Motel. I’m just so thankful we have people like you who will stand up for the American people.

Dear Mike: This strikes me as a good opportunity to make a suggest to pass on to the attorneys. I think it would be a good idea to request a FOIA to the CIA. Of course, the identity of the so called, independent person who prepared the whistle blower complaint, without any privity as the attorneys say, must remain confidential. But it can be determined from the FOIA if any of the prinicpals in any of the campaigns had contacts with the CIA at any time before this latest game of the Democratic Party started. All that is necessary is to request if any of the named parties had meeting with individuals at the CIA at that time. Everything elose will be redacted but they will have to confirm or deny that such meetings occurred. I am sure that all the case officers at least have to document meetings with outside parties and it would be a serious problem if they had meetings that were not documented. So one simple letter from counsel or from the staff of a journalist could quickly rule that idea in or out. And I think Joe Biden would be very interested to know if any other groups from the Democratic Party did in fact have meetings with the CIA.

We're waiting for breakthroughs that never quite seem to materialize -- then along comes Gov Huckabee with the good stuff we've been waiting for! Keep it up, Mike! And let's jam again soon!!

None of this stops until top level people go to jail!
Andrew Weissmann; grand jury, charges, & trial is a start.
And, if that same procedure doesn't apply to the violations in the proceedings of the FISA court - - two outcomes; eliminate the FISA law or tear up the Constitution.
I don't know why but each time I click to go to the website,I get a message from Thunderbird, "Thunderbird thinks this message is a scam. The links in the message may be trying to impersonate web pages you want to visit. Are you sure you want to visit" Do you have this problem elsewhere?)

Will someone please tell the Socialists Democrats especially Pelosi, Schiff, the other guy in charge of committee, cannot remember his name you know the one who is always spouting off something bad about President Trump, to learn to follow the Constitution. None of them seem to believe they have to follow it with this investigation. Can they be brought up for treason for just ignoring it by their secret meetings.
President Trump has done more to help America and the American people and ANY President in our Nations History, except maybe Abe Lincoln. President Trump is completely right about Building the Wall if immigration is not stopped this Country will not survive as we have known it. The immigrants coming in illegally will NOT assimilate to our Culture, Laws, values, language and will try to take over our system of Government. They have already done so with many of the States electing people who do not approve of the American system of Government. If not stopped this Country will be just like any 3rd world country. Many of Americans are waking up to this and are afraid of losing the Freedoms we now have under the Constitution. Our elected officials in Congress need to Stand up and STOP this charade now before all is lost.

I think we know where Weissman should the gallows for good measure. What a despicable man! yeah Mifsud raised all KINDS of red flags for me from the outset. No proof, just massive allegations and we now are finding what a sloppy job Mueller did but then we know why. Coverup If the Mueller report is any indication of how he ran the FBI for 12 years, we are in deep trouble.

"The Mueller Report" Everyone continues to show that 'report' as belonging to Mueller. Just witnessing Mueller testifying, after "his" report was opened to the public, should prove to any logical thinking individual that "the Mueller report" was NOT authored by Mueller! The poor guy either never read 'his' report, or was so befuddled that retaining anything he read was no longer possible.

This whole "Russia, Russia, probe" was constructed out of the 'cloak and dagger' mind of Andrew Weissmann. This 'criminal lawyer' should have been disbarred years ago. To believe this whack would include anything remotely "exculpatory," to anyone's benefit, in this 'Weissmann' report is naïveté to the point of delusion! He was part of the party that allowed two "innocent" men to 'die' in prison, all the time knowing of their innocence - if you don't get disbarred for that, it is one more nail in the coffin of "EQUAL JUSTICE UNDER LAW!"

Nothing would surprise me since the world has not been the same since the CIA wars of 1981-1987. To fully understand where we stand I believe Mr. Barr should go back to 1981 and perhaps even 1963 to see how things got so screwed up.

Thank you for all the good information. It is terribly frightening that our country has gotten this far socialistic and seems to be on the road to total destruction fast. How could Obama have planted this many people and caused this much problem for Trump? Only a man of Trump's strength could have worked through this as far as we have come with spies all around him. This is definitely an attempt to overthrow the government and it should be proved and many brought to justice.

Mike...With the Democrats, Liberal Media and Deep State actors getting extremely twitchy these days I am expecting some very damaging information and possibly some federal indictments soon. After 3 years of this continual conspiracy nonsense against Trump it is not surprising that a lot of us out here want some justice and some blood for their sins!
