Before getting into John Solomon’s latest revelation of what the FBI was doing in the fall of 2016 –- yes, it’s even worse –- it might be good to preface that with the finding in a new poll by THE HILL that a majority of Americans support investigating the FBI’s conduct at the start of the “Russia” investigation. They're finally catching a whiff of the rat we’ve been smelling for close to three years now --- in fact, for many of us, the smell of this rat is enough to knock us over. It’s only the most partisan Democrats who are still wearing giant nose clips.

And another preface: there is a clear contradiction between former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former FBI Director James Comey concerning his claim that she told him to call the Hilary email investigation a “matter.” (I’d say that from the way they conducted their “investigation,” it really WAS more like a matter, in that they didn’t seriously investigate Hillary at all.) We know about this because of more closed-door congressional testimony released by Rep. Doug Collins of Georgia. According to the Washington Examiner, she also answered “Never” when asked by Jerry Nadler if Obama ever demanded or requested that the FBI or DOJ infiltrate or surveil the Trump campaign for political purposes.

Keep in mind, though, she also testified that she KNEW the FBI and/or DOJ never got political in their handling of the “Russia” inquiry. Um...really?? Listen, if anyone can weasel out of legal jeopardy and assist Obama in doing the same, it’s Lynch, whose superpower is smoothly avoiding answering. She’s as deft as Bill Clinton at creating sentences that have to be “parsed.” More on this story as it develops; it’s fun to watch this cast of characters start to contradict each other and cast aspersions.

Also, we’ve learned Democrat Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee claimed during a closed-door session with Lynch last fall that FOUR Trump campaign associates –- Carter Page, George Papadopoulos, Paul Manafort and Michael Flynn –- were subjects of FISA warrants. So far, we’ve only seen the one application (plus the three renewals) for Carter Page; if Lee is correct about all these FISa applications, where are the other three? That’s a lot of spying, with or without warrants.

All right, back to Solomon’s latest story on abuse of the FISA court. Over a week before the first FISA application was made, State Department official Kathleen Kavelec emailed the FBI about her meeting with Christopher Steele, a meeting which in itself was a violation of policy. Of course, we already knew about that, but today there’s a new wrinkle: namely, that Kavalec also passed along information from Steele that the FBI had already seen and debunked, and that a week later they conveniently did not mention this in the FISA application to spy on Carter Page.

It wasn’t that the FBI could have debunked the information but failed to --- it was that the information had ALREADY BEEN deemed unreliable by the Bureau. Hillary Clinton backers had apparently spread this particular bit of fiction around the internet, where it was received by a lawyer for her campaign who took it to the FBI in the summer of 2016.

The piece of "intelligence" at issue was a far-fetched allegation of a back-door computer channel at Alfa Bank in Moscow, in which a series of data pings between Trump Tower and Alfa was a way to alert the Trump and Putin teams that it was time to “collude” on their plan to hijack the American presidential election.

The story was debunked by the FBI yet made its way to CNN, The New York Times, Slate, and –- this past fall –- The New Yorker. But here’s the point: once it was debunked, the FBI should not have been using the source that had provided it to them. And that was Christopher Steele.

He gave it to them after then-FBI chief counsel James Baker had already received it from the DNC’s and Hillary’s lawyer (Solomon’s story doesn’t name him, but I’m guessing it was Marc Elias of Perkins Coie. Did you know he’s in the same role now for Kamala Harris’ campaign? I digress.), and it had already been investigated by both the FBI and Alfa Bank. The “pings” were determined to be “innocuous” contacts, probably related to spam.

This should have been a clear signal to the FBI that they needed to check Steele’s credibility before offering him to the FISA judges as a reliable source. Had they checked with Kavalec, they would have found out even more that cast a shadow on his veracity, such as that he had provided other demonstrably false information (guess what? --- there ISN’T a Russian embassy in Miami), was working for the DNC under an Election Day deadline to get his “dossier” out, and had been leaking his "intelligence" to the media. But they obviously didn’t care to exercise their due diligence. A week later, they swore under oath in the FISA application to spy on Carter Page that all their sources were reliable and all their information was verified.

As Rep. Mark Meadows of South Carolina told Solomon, “Each day we receive additional confirmation that those at the highest levels of the FBI were fully aware of the bias and lack of credibility that the whole investigation was initiated upon.” And it’s going to get a lot worse in the next week or two, as President Trump is getting ready to declassify documents that are expected to show that the FBI possessed –- but did not share with the FISA judges –- exculpatory evidence including transcripts of recorded conversations with campaign aides, such as George Papadopoulos, that attest to the innocence of the Trump campaign when it came to any “collusion” with Russia.

By the way, a week or two should give you plenty of time to read Papadopoulos’ book, DEEP STATE TARGET, which I recommend highly. Then, when the Papadopoulos recordings turn out to be “the” exculpatory piece that blasts the whole “Russia” scam to smithereens –- as is looking increasingly likely –- you’ll already know the backstory.

In my opinion I agree with Mike Smiths observation: if AJ Bill Barr uses this FBI investigation only as an “inquiry” without any indictments it will fail to justify the wrong doing by some. It will destroy The purpose of the Rule of Law, No body is above the Rule Of Law. Evidence seems to prove that all the people in the upper echelon of the Obama administration, DNC, FBI, CIA, and Hillary, including some of her Staff, were involved in the taking down of an officially elected President.

Ahh, hope does spring eternal, as long as there is breath. Problem being, the bulk of my 'play days' are far behind me, and a large part of my desire to stay amongst the living is to see a return to "EQUAL JUSTICE UNDER LAW!" That little reminder, etched over the SCOTUS lair, has been missing for some decades.

Common thought being, the 'powers that be' will prosecute and convict some "fall guy/gal" but the Crème de la Crème will continue sipping margaritas in Monte Carlo. Ole Rostenkowski, though the poster boy for corruption on the hill, served only 15 months of a 17 month sentence, after his conviction in '96 for a reduced crime of mail fraud. He continued to draw his taxpayer funded retirement until his death!

If 'bloody hands' Clinton escapes punishment, even if the likes of Brennan, Clapper, Comey, et. al., do time in some halfway correction facility, there STILL will be NO EQUAL JUSTICE UNDER LAW....

There was no place for a comment on your abortion piece, so I thought that here might be a good place to leave it....
A bumper sticker is out there that says: " YES, it is a baby." And another should say, "Call abortion for what is it, 'MURDER', or "ABORTION IS MURDER".
Mike, let's quit calling abortion "killing" babies. Call it for what it actually is, MURDERING babies and also MURDER FOR PROFIT!
Woman's health, wow, how about Baby's health? So much for the inconvenience of self discipline and moral fiber along with a respect, regard for the value of a human life. If I am not mistaken, everyone of those millions of those murdered babies has a spirit that sits before God, even now. We bend over backwards to save someone from drowning, a disease of some other catastrophe and pat ourselves on the back for our humaneness and selflessness and yet refuse to nurture and protect a perfectly healthy, innocent and defenseless life.
Read the book of Revelation, chapters 17, 18 and 19 and put our country in the place of "Mystery BABYlon".
    God will judge.

Was this their first time doing this? They knew but didn't care if information was false that they gave to the FISA court they used it anyway, makes me think and believe they had gotten away with it before so why not do it again. Am I wrong to believe this?

    Governor -

Was reminded in reading your piece about Nevada/Electoral College....
Not that Democrat leadership is hypocritical or anything but, Al Gore's people put together a white paper during 2000 campaign justifying winner of Electoral College should legitimately be president, even if they lost popular vote. This was when it appeared that Bush might win popular vote but lose EC. (As Democrat candidate Al Smith once said, "You could look it up"!)

On an unrelated topic, my wife and I were on your Israel trip in February. To say it was wonderful doesn't begin to express what an experience it was for us. I'm already trying to talk her into going again next year!

Hope to make it down to Henderson this summer for the show.

Keep fighting the good fight. Thanks and God bless.

If this does not lead all the way back to Obama I will be very surprised. There is no such thing as a democrat anymore. They are all progressives, socialist or fat left liberals not counting muslims. ..these people are all going to wake up one morning and their dreams will be realized as all Christians will have disappeared. I just wonder who they will blame this on.

The corrupt media is a political , leftist arm of the Democrats and the Deep State.
POTUS must continue communicating ,tweeting to inform his constituents, bc his information will not be communicated fairly in the Corrupt Media. He must get his
Information out to the Citizens . Political Correctness is ,nor will ever be as serious as the deaths they have caused , are responsible for and lied about to America !
Remember the Deaths in Fast And Furious, Benghazi, And Sanctuary Cities as Democrats care more for illegals than CITIZENS of America ,which they are sworn to serve. May GOD be with America and President Trump
The Democrats have sold out America for a new voting base to the Invasion of Illegals and thusly , irreversibly Transformed America into A THIRD COUNTRY.
I commend POTUS for refusing to continue talking to the scum as they disgrace themselves and are unworthy of being in Our Whitehouse or In the company of
The Best President our Nation has ever elected to office. He should avoid and ignore them for they are pure evil , anti American..Their Coup on America And Against our elected President & their Treasonous actions, deaths of Americans
Resulting from Illegals, Sanctuary Cities, Drugs ,pain and suffering and Millions$$ wasted is unforgivable.
They are professional at accusing others of what ,They Themselves are guilty of
And IT IS PROVEN THAT THEY are the ones Colluding with Russians, NOT TRUMP ! They will never stop unless Held Accountable .THEIR TREASON must be punishable by Death.

I believe the corruption is much deeper. The FISA court knows and has known for a long time that they were lied to, yet they do nothing. I am left to conclude that the FISA judges are part of the Deep State. These judges are very smart. They required certain elements be met before issuing the warrants. They were simply protecting themselves in case things went south, but they understood fully that these warrants would be used to gather dirt on Trump. Not to influence an election, but to Blackmail Trump when he was elected. I don't think the Deep State necessarily supported Trump, but for some reason could not allow Hillary to become President. After the election Hillary said in anger, " They were never going to let me win ".

I have to agree with your writer about Seattle & the city & county government. We too used to enjoy a few days downtown. It used to be clean, safe, a great place to visit. Even Olympia, the capitol, is a filthy mess. There will be no respite until cities elect non-politicians to run them - they know nothing about the business end of anything.

    Hi Governor,
I noticed the poll about the FBI's conduct. Unfortunately, I've been reading that it isn't an investigation but rather an inquiry. From what I've been able to put together, an inquiry of a law enforcement agency SELDOM if ever results in any prosecution. It seems they just want to give it lip service and announce whether policies need to be changed.
From the actions that we know about already, there should be several or even MANY criminal investigations that should lead to prosecutions. If the alphabet agencies are allowed to get away with what has happened, this country will have lost some of its most important features. The values and belief of its citizens that nobody is above the law. The biggest and most damning events started a cascade when our government lied to us about Benghazi. That hasn't been set straight and doesn't appear that it will. We can only guess at how bad it will get before it results in widespread despair.

As this onion peels the more desperate Pelosi and Shumer look and sound I watched a brief comment by Nanci today she looked nervous unsure of herself not uncommon for her as the investigation closes in the more absurd the Dems will become if that's possible. If I were the Dems, I would try and get rid of Barr and Trump also the rats will start eating their own in a couple of weeks. I was elated today watching Trump stick it to Nanci and Chuckie finally he has had enough Donald get your self a box of executive pens and start signing the orders finish off these hapless leeches they are sucking the life out of this country act as they don't exist they just don't matter. They are fools and U can not reason with a fool. They are a waste of time, money, and and they cause fatigue. Look at your Dem. cities they are failing why would you even talk to a Dem unless you want something to fail.

I'm elated that my fellow Americans are using the word disgusting as did I in a comment on Facebook regarding this whole circus. They are trying to take down decent people - we finally get someone wanting to clean up the swamp in Washington and this is the crap they throw at him. I'm baffled - isn't this the swamp the liberals wanted cleaned out during the 60's protesting when Big Government was considered evil? Why are they trying to convince people that Big Government is good? What are they afraid people will find out about them? The left has gone mad!

On you King County Story, one only has to view the 1-hour special ("Seattle Is Dying") that KOMO 4, Seattle did to understand what the problem is. The county courts refuse to prosecute the homeless lawbreakers and allow camping in the County Office building lobby and the city office building lobby at night. The Mayor is all up in arms because KOMO had the balls to do the s[ecial, she says that they are focusing on only the band about Seattle and not all the good there is. well, if high rent prices, prices on single-family homes that average 1 million dollars, and people using the streets of Seattle as a bathroom is what she is calling the good then we are in trouble. I live across the bay in Bremerton and have given up song to seattle because of the crime and homelessness. It is not safe to visit that city. Just sayin"
