Your tax dollars at work

By Mike Huckabee

The latest Project Veritas expose allegedly shows Michael Beller, principle counsel for PBS, saying that if Trump were to win the election, people should “go to the White House and throw Molotov cocktails.” He also said that Trump supporters are bad parents who are “raising a generation of intolerant horrible people — horrible kids.” So “even if Biden wins, we go for all the Republican voters, Homeland Security will take their children away and we’ll put them into reeducation camps.”

Nothing screams “I’m pro-tolerance” like wanting to throw Molotov cocktails if you lose an election or take your political opponents’ children away and put them into reeducation camps.

In response, PBS downplayed Beller’s role and said he no longer worked there. They condemned violence and slammed Project Veritas as a “a far-right activist group that is known for producing deceptive videos,” although they didn’t specify what was “far-right” or “deceptive” about this video.

At least, I’m glad to hear that a leftist can actually lose a job over his hateful, violent, intolerant rhetoric, although I assume he’ll soon have a cushy new job as a commentator at CNN.

Excellent essay

By Mike Huckabee

I recently told you that the left is claiming that bringing up their year-long defense of riots, assaults on federal property and violent attacks on police officers is just “whataboutism,” and I explained that that term means “I find it inconvenient to have you point out my hypocrisy.”

Well, there actually is a serious definition of the term, and this excellent essay by William Voegeli at City Journal explains it. It also explains why the term does not apply to the left’s attempts to dodge responsibility for their clearly hypocritical rhetoric.

Tech Update from “Huckabee” pop culture guru Pat Reeder:

By Mike Huckabee

We’ve received a number of comments asking about an Internet rumor that Google bought the DuckDuckGo search engine that protects privacy. This is not true. A few years ago, Google bought a company that owned the domain Duck.com, which led to the confusion. DuckDuckGo complained, and Google voluntarily relinquished the domain, which now automatically redirects users to DuckDuckGo.com.

So it appears that DuckDuckGo is still so independent and dedicated to protecting privacy that they are justified in having a welcome mat at their headquarters that reads, “Come Back With A Warrant.” (I’m still disappointed that I didn’t get one of those for Christmas.)

There’s also some discussion online about Google thinking it’s in their best interests not to try to take over or crush DuckDuckGo or Bing because that gives them some nominal competition to point to when they’re accused of being a monopoly. We’ll see how long that lasts if DuckDuckGo gets so many users that it threatens their monopoly…oops, sorry: I mean, "their business."

Here’s an article about DuckDuckGo from 2019, explaining the differences between the two search engines and why you might prefer DuckDuckGo (aside from the obvious political and “not supporting evil” reasons.)

Another issue we’re getting questions on (and that helped fuel the Google rumor) is that people think they’re seeing more left-leaning results on DuckDuckGo lately. I searched for “impeachment” and got fairly mainstream news stories and definitions from Wikipedia and History.com. A search for “Mike Huckabee” turned up a Fox News article and other benign results. It’s possible that if you see more left-leaning results, it’s because DuckDuckGo sifts through about 400 sources, including the Bing search engine, and there are currently a lot more left-leaning stories so more might turn up on DuckDuckGo, but that’s just a guess. Compare it to Google’s news results and there’s no contest.

Finally, if you want a privacy-protecting browser alternative to DuckDuckGo for some reason, you might try Qwant.com, which is based in France. But DuckDuckGo is NOT owned by Google.

These companies are openly hostile to conservatives

By Mike Huckabee

Some readers have asked if we could compile a list of businesses that are conservative-friendly, in the spirit of our holiday entertainment guide. We think that’s a great idea, but there’s a problem: so many are panicking before the media/social media propaganda onslaught that it’s impossible to keep up with it day by day. Some you think are holding fast cave overnight, and others would likely fold in terror if you praised them for not being partisan against conservatives.

It's actually easier to give you a list of companies that have declared open hostility to conservatives, so you can decide for yourself whether you want to continue doing business with them. And fortunately, Victoria Taft at PJ Media has compiled just such a list.

Electoral college update

By Mike Huckabee

True to their word, several House Democrats have introduced a resolution to pass a Constitutional Amendment to abolish the Electoral College and elect the President by national popular vote. Because unlike in previous times, New York, Montana, Minnesota, Alabama and Texas are all exactly the same now.

The chances of this passing are pretty slim, since it would require a two-thirds vote in both Houses of Congress, then ratification by three-fourths of the states (38 out of 50, or however many states there are after the Democrats get through transforming America.) I would hope that there aren’t that many states that would willingly give away their say over who becomes President to a handful of highly populated states like California, New York, Texas and Florida.

But I did want you to be aware of this, and also share their argument for why the Electoral College is obsolete. I think you’ll find it to be one of the funniest things you’ll hear all day:

“The development of mass media and the Internet has made information about Presidential candidates easily accessible to United States citizens across the country and around the world.”

I don’t think this is a very good time to claim that we can depend on the Internet to provide a free and nonpartisan flow of information about politics. Ask all the Biden voters who somehow never heard about Hunter’s laptop. Or the millions of former Parler users.

Self-awareness is rare in Washington

By Mike Huckabee

Just weeks after it was reported that Rep. Eric Swalwell was in bed with an alleged Chinese spy (possibly literally), he had the stunning hubris to accuse a Republican Congress member of siding with terrorists and committing a crime by disclosing the location of Speaker Pelosi to the Capitol rioters.

If it’s true that Rep. Lauren Boebert disobeyed orders not to make social media posts during the assault, then that was a serious lapse that deserves attention. But tweeting that “the Speaker has been removed from the Chambers” didn’t reveal where she was, just where she wasn’t. How is that useful to terrorists?

I’d be fine with an investigation into this issue, as long as there’s also a thorough investigation into what information Swalwell, with his place on the House Intelligence Committee, might have revealed to China. But then, he’ll be too busy to answer those questions, since Pelosi gave him a post on her committee to impeach Trump for allegedly betraying America.

Self-awareness is as rare in Washington these days as fiscal responsibility.

    Thank you Governor,
Readers should note15 states have but a handful of votes when the Electoral College meets every 4 years. The Electoral College isn't an entity. It is an artifact allowing a simple consistent method for states when they vote for president. Readers nee too know people have never elected the president. States have always elected the president. Since passage of the 17th amendment citizens with their ballots tell their state which candidate they favor.

People are in awe as to why State Capitals need to be reinforced with National Guard protection I called the Governor's office to inquire of the scheduling of the China Virus vaccine what I found was a Brain Dead response I mentioned the Office had months to set up sites to vaccinate the Seniors and the population (Prison Imates go before Seniors the most vulnerable) like the Flu shots and crickets was the answer I thought I was at the Capital when Mase asked his question 30 seconds without a response: why are people upset with leftist Goverornors while abstaining from giving life preserving vaccines, might be one Great reason the National Guard needs to be called out and protect the Governors the States are paying Brain Dead Governors to hastens Seniors Life spans.

    Thank you for great insights.
Only in America. It is interesting that the victims of a crime ( most members of the House of Representatives, and Senate) can prosecute, and judge the ALLEGED perpetrator of a crime where they were victims. They should all recuse themselves from voting on anything to do with the impeachment of Donald Trump.

Question: how can a president be considered impeached if both houses of Congress do not agree on impeachment? To me that would say President Trump has not been impeached

  • Jerry

Impeachment of President Trump is a badge of Honor. This Congress has fought for Illegal Immigration, Fought to keep the bill 230 intact, allowed the attempt to overthrow the President of the United States, fought to bury a Vice President to blackmail the Ukraine government, fought to encourage for cities to be burned and encouraged people to disrupt and harm people of their own Congress, the list of Anti American action is long and dismal. President Trump is exposing the corruption this Congress is doing the Self enhancement of money and assets thru Hilary's template pay for play scheme. Does any one in this country NOT understand why this Congress does not want President Trump around and to silence him? Trump fought against China's infiltration of this country, and the Congress is impeaching him he has been a danger to this Congress's way of doing business. Corruption on the largest scale. I have tried many times to have my thoughts exposed about this in the comment section but it was moderated unfit for print.

I read that essay from William Voegeli at City Journal about the term 'whataboutism', and honestly, my understanding about it is 'what?' with all the 'overeducated fools' vocabulary, it read as a bunch of nonsensical words that no one but lawyering schools, would use to try and win a debate. He used not justified and unjustified in the same sentence. Aren't they the same word meaning? It sounds typical of the clinton/obama/and now 'biteyoudon' years, that liberals use words that they can change meanings to whenever. My ancestor is Noah Webster, the creator of the Webster's Dictionary, and he would be appalled at what has happened to American education. It is not education really, it is 'virtue signaling' now, and fools teaching vulnerable people that they are 'educated'. I am so sick of the double-standards, but that is what the liberal party is all about. Instead of 'whataboutism' it is 'whateverism' they want to do is okay, as long as it isn't an idea from a truly educated and very wise Conservative. Chickens and owls (or eagles) is a good comparison of the difference between Liberals and Conservatives, in that order, that only Liberals can understand, using animal analogies to describe the truth. In the chicken world, the rooster rules the roost, one BIG rooster in control of many hens, whereas in the owl (or eagle) world, both males and females work together. And it is much more difficult to spot the wise birds than the dumb ones. Watch what chickens do, that's easy, then try and spot what owls and eagles do. Just in my humble opinion as I have been more right about things than one would think, because I am a Conservative, and very glad about it.

We now see that the left has become totally unhinged and pursuing a "scorched earth" policy. They have also succeeded in turning many into RINOs. It is now apparent the Republican Party and those who voted for Joe have bought the lie that the Democratic Party is for the people. The Democratic Party is now the Communist Party of the USA to us who can think still

All who voted in error for the impeachment of President Trump need to be forgiven. They know not what they do!

Power and money are their idol God's. They know nothing else because emptiness and wickedness encompasses their souls.

Hatred and strife motivates them. They are "stoning" President Trump the political way.

Yet one day the evildoers will fall hard. One at a time or all at once. We need to be there to pick up the pieces when they fall. Hopefully, it will not be too late for their sake!

Until then, pray and forgive. Share the gospel as the Spirit leads. Prayer, forgiveness, and the Good News are needed in this nation more and more each day.

I believe that the two "impeachments" of Trump are the single greatest acknowledgements by the political establishment that Trump was not only the best president of the modern era but "if he should decide to run again" should also be reelected (which he was this time if you discount illegal mail in votes and other illegal democratic tactics). There was a recent pole from the RNC that queried strategy for 2021 and beyond that did not include one reference to support Trump or his agenda. Do they not understand that they are "no party" without Trump or another conservative as equally independent of the political establishment.

Sir, Thank you so much for your articles. I wait anxiously both morning and night for them. I do have a question. I presently use DuckDuckGo for my search engine. However when I went into the Settings it refers me to my Goggle account. I use gmail which is of course a Google product. I am in the process of moving away, as much as possible, from Google, Facebook and any of the other Big Tech companies. Can you or Pat recommend another eMail provider. I know it will be a pain for me to change over due to all the places I will need to notify but I can no longer support the "Big Tech". Thank you for your response.

We can see Lauren Boebert's last-ditch effort as a Deborah. Men in the Senate and house have lost their sense of military might - so needed in a revolution. All the debates on who is to blame for the capital storming is irrelevant since freedom of press and assembly, and bearing arms is getting lost in the wash of lawlessness and big media takeover. The nation is ripe for Big Tech to completely blackout communication and let China use them to live-feed a Red Regime, here, and in Uganda and other nations falling like dominos. I believe it may be a women's power show with Kamala plus the Squad, who already have the full re-educated mindset. (Like the Bloody Mary "Marian" persecution of Protestants under Mary Tudor and Mary of Guise in C16th) Unless some top leaders, real men who know the stakes and still have control of the armed forces plan behind the scenes to take Big Tech out and start calling the narrative: A public media display of 1. Russia hoax collusion ($40million) 2. Fake impeachment/Muller investigation 18mnths), 3. Dominion reversals. If not now, then when? We cannot always be one step behind, defending ourselves. See Deut. 19 and 20. We will not be allowed to regroup. I, for one, will never trust election machines again. My state, MA, was taken over years ago. No debates for Gov. Baker and Dr. Lively, Lively had to sue for his part of the Rep. funds, AFTER the election. Yeah, we are far along....Warnock is the latest evidence!! Will the Lord find faith in the earth? What would the Founders say? What say you?
