Don’t look now, but Mike Flynn is fighting back.
With Sidney Powell as his new lawyer as of June, former national security adviser Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, still awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to lying to FBI interrogators (when even his interrogators thought he hadn’t), things are finally starting to crackle in the courtroom. Can I hear an amen!
Flynn’s lawyers have filed a motion against the prosecutors accusing them of hiding exculpatory evidence in his case and asking Judge Emmet Sullivan to find them in contempt of a standing court order, which would mean their dismissal from the case. Powell’s August 30 motion also sought to compel the production of exculpatory evidence, claimed they had singled out Flynn for prosecution and suggested evidence used against him might have been illegally obtained.
A red pill experience
By Mike Huckabee
The movie “The Matrix” added a phrase to the language: “being red-pilled.” In the movie, the main character is given the choice of taking a blue pill and continuing to live in a comfortable fantasy world or taking the red pill and seeing the ugly truth. I think that running for President as a Democrat has given spiritual guru Marianne Williamson a red pill experience.
In an interview with the New Yorker, Williamson expressed shock at finding that once she ran for President as a Democrat (and brought up uncomfortable subjects for the party powers-that-be), she found herself being treated badly and slandered. She said, “I know this sounds naive. I didn’t think the left was so mean. I didn’t think the left lied like this. I thought the right did that. I thought we were better.”
Welcome to reality, Ms. Williamson. Be thankful that the sweet, gentle leftists didn't try to silence you the way they do us, by bashing us in the skull with bike chains. If she keeps taking the red pills, she might someday even wake up to the ultimate reality, which is that today’s leftists believe they’re justified in being mean and lying about other people purely because they think they’re so much better than everyone else that their ends justify any means, no matter how mean those means may be.

Offensive Defense: Attorneys for actor Jussie Smollett are defending him against Chicago’s lawsuit to recover over $130,000 wasted on investigating a fake hate crime by claiming that even if he did lie (and they’re not admitting that he did!), it wasn’t his fault that the cops investigated it so thoroughly and spent so much time and money on it. No, really, that’s their defense. And you thought the “Racist Trump fans roaming Chicago at 2 a.m. in below-zero weather, carrying a rope and looking for the star of ‘Empire’” narrative was hard to swallow!
On a side note: comic Dave Chappelle’s new Netflix special, “Sticks and Stones,” in which he dares take on the intolerant leftist “cancel culture” and humorless LGBTQ activists head on, includes a lengthy segment on Jussie Smollett in which he says that black people knew that “he was clearly lying.” It just might be the first major blow against the censorious left’s stranglehold on show business (although I warn you: it contains extremely rough language and subject matter.)
To show that the PC scolds will not go gently into that good night (i.e., they won’t shut up and go away even after Chapelle exposed their hypocrisy to the world and we’ve all laughed at them and told them to take a hike), at RottenTomatoes.com, the special has a dismal 33% positive rating from the professional critics. The audience score is 99% positive. But yeah, you pompous leftist critics keep telling yourselves that it’s Dave Chappelle who’s out of touch with the trending direction of society.
Spies inside the White House: the ACLJ sues FBI to get the goods
By Mike Huckabee
We’ve already talked about the claim that an FBI “mole” planted in the White House was spying on the new Trump administration for then-FBI Director James “We don’t spy” Comey and his team in early 2017. Jordan Sekulow of the American Center for Law and Justice wrote about it a month ago, when they first submitted Freedom Of Information Act requests for documents relating to this. So far, no one has denied that this happened, but there still has been no response from the FBI to their request.
What still sounds to many like one of the wildest parts of a crazy conspiracy theory or a Hollywood political thriller appears actually to have happened, and now the ACLJ has gone ahead with a FOIA lawsuit to get those documents. (Under current FBI Director Christopher Wray, he shouldn’t have to resort to this to get information, but Wray is sadly turning out to be the opposite of transparent, so he’s having to.)
I wanted to make sure you also read these comments:
The death toll from Hurricane Dorian is up to 20 in the Bahamas, and is likely to rise further as authorities continue to sift through the devastation. Meanwhile, at this writing, the slow-moving storm has regained its strength, is back to a category 3, and is now expected to make landfall today on the Carolina coast.
If you are in Dorian’s path, please take all precautions and if told to evacuate, do it! The rest of us will keep praying for those in its path and its victims in the Bahamas. And to put those good thoughts into action, please consider making a donation to Samaritan’s Purse at www.samaritanspurse.org to help their volunteers get aid to the victims immediately.
And continuing our theme of Democrat politicians demanding bans on things they know nothing about, Sen. Elizabeth Warren just demanded a ban on bump stocks five months after the Trump Administration banned them. Are we sure it’s just Joe Biden whose brain we should be worried about?
There are still nearly four months to go in 2019, but I think we have already have the winner of the “Least Surprising Headline of the Year” Award:
