Report: CDC coordinated with teachers’ unions on school reopening

Fox News reports that today, Republicans on the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis will release a report revealing a CDC official’s testimony claiming that the CDC coordinated with teachers' unions at an extraordinary level in crafting its school reopening guidance, despite their claims that the coordination was routine and nonpolitical. Click the link for the full story:

I thought the CDC was “following the science,” but if they were following the teachers’ union leaders, that’s hardly the same thing. Especially if they’re the same kind of teachers as the one in Massachusetts who teaches students in Biology class that sex is a social construct. Science!!

In a related subject, if we’re finally allowed to talk about COVID vaccines having side effects, then you should know that the World Health Organization revealed a new one, buried halfway through a 40-page report.

The potential side effects are hearing loss and tinnitus, an irritating ringing in the ears. Some patients also experienced headaches, dizziness and nausea. Some recovered quickly while others needed steroid treatments and said the tinnitus was “unrelenting and life-altering for months.” While tinnitus was rare (367 cases), it affected people of all ages, but nearly 75% of the sufferers were women.

Trade school is looking good

And here are even more reasons why you might want to encourage your college-age kids to consider trade school…

Biden reveals $5.8 trillion proposed budget

This week, President Biden unveiled his $5.8 trillion proposed budget, which he claims will boost economic growth, lower the deficit and reduce inflation, even though it spends more money, increases government and includes record new taxes on corporations and the wealthy.

https://www.westernjournal.com/biden-claims-5-8t-budget-proposal-cuts-deficit-reduces-inflationary-pressures/

I know that Democrats like Biden and Pelosi believe that raising taxes and increasing government spending will lower consumer prices. I’d like to believe that fried chicken and ice cream will reduce your waistline, but that doesn’t make it so.

First of all, here’s King’s College economic Prof. Brian Brenberg explaining why Biden’s scheme to tax “unrealized gains” (taxing the increase in value of something before it’s sold and the owner makes anything off of it) is a “killer of wealth creation,” and how Europe tried it and it didn’t work. There are also the minor problems that it would require impossibly complicated tax records to comply with it, and it’s more than likely unconstitutional.

https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/bidens-proposed-new-billionaires-tax-a-wealth-killer-brenberg

Also, Biden’s tax on corporations would return the US to having one of the highest corporate tax rates in the world, which would encourage the companies that returned to the US under Trump to move back overseas. And if those companies are no longer here creating jobs under Trump’s tax policies, how will Biden take credit for those jobs?

Once again, here’s a lesson in basic economics for the Democrats in DC, and for far, far too many Republicans there, as well:

No matter how high you raise corporate taxes, corporations don’t pay taxes. They COLLECT taxes. That’s because taxes are a cost of doing business, and costs are passed on to consumers. One reason why California has the highest gas prices in America is that every gallon is taxed 51 cents, so 51 cents gets added directly onto the price at the pumps.

However, if raising prices too high would put a company out of business, then its only alternative is to cut other costs, like reducing staff or cutting pay and benefits. If you care about inflation, policies that result in lower pay doesn’t help people’s paychecks go further. Quite the opposite.

Many people hate corporations in the abstract, but they love the ones that pay their salaries and create the products that they buy. When you attack them with higher taxes, you may feel a brief moment of smug satisfaction, but you’d better enjoy it while you can because it’s going to bite you in the rear soon enough. Sort of like how the satisfaction some people took in voting against Trump in November quickly evaporated once Biden took office and made them pay dearly for it.

Cops For Me, But Not For Thee

It was revealed that Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who proposed slashing $20 million from the police budget in 2020 despite a rising crime wave, has a personal police security detail of 71 officers to protect her. And guess whose fault that is. Why, Donald Trump’s, of course!

One good thing might come out of Will Smith’s shocking assault on comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars: it’s emboldened comedy clubs and other comedians to finally start speaking out to defend comedians’ right to freedom of speech without fear of being attacked for saying something that offends some thin-skinned hothead. We’ve been doing that here for several years now, but I'm happy to finally have them joining the fight.

    Huck

You just said Bruce Willis shouldn't receive a (skunk) award due to his disease issue, but it should maybe given to Smith. Since Jada was attacked because cause of her disease that manifested itself in her appearance, and Will was responding to that attack by Rock, how can you blame him as a "thin-skinned hothead" for his response?? I can't agree with you this time.

The rise of the new Democratic Party the party today found the road to power became easily when the 10 commandments were removed from government buildings the decline of a civil society has been In progress since as our urban cities show every day the demonic behaviors the human is capable of today Satin is dancing a pagan jig and laughing with delight

Having listened to democratic people speak in public most of the time they read what is written for them as most of what they say comes from a source a central location and the democrat recite what is on script for the day. Like the advisors for Putin the democrat says what is written for them as the democrat is fearful to have its own thoughts or ideas they stay in line because of fear of rejection one could see how manchin was treated by these hyenas the freedom of speech for the democrat does not Exist the do what they are told the democrat is a person without its own mind it is controlled similar to a robot

I do enjoy reading your newsletter. Tonight I had my husband read part of it and he said "I am not surprised that there are more symptoms "popping up"." Last year I almost lost my husband. He had developed heart problems a few years ago due to diabetes. In March we had our 2nd shot for COVID. In April, my husband began to have "black outs with jerking"; like seizures. This happened several times in April until one day we were discussing about going fishing. My husband passed out, almost fell out of his chair and stopped breathing. After calling 911, EMT's arrived, and prior to taking him to the emergency room, they had to put wires on him to keep a continuous shock going to the hospital. He was immediately rushed to surgery where when the wires were removed, his blood pressure dropped to 20 and a pace maker with a defib was placed into his chest. The reason I wrote this is because the CDC did know about the problems the vaccine would cause to those with other health issues but still put out it was ok. Now many months later, the FDA and CDC finally acknowledged the vaccine does cause Mycardia(?) in the heart of children and in adults with underlying health problems.
Now it is now popping up new symptoms like tinnitus, headaches, etc; and yes, I am a woman who has been plagued with tinnitus, headaches/migraines, dizziness and nausea. This has been going on since around Sept/Oct 2021consistently since. Now they want to keep giving booster shots to 12 and under to newborns. So now how they in good conscious put our children, grandchildren, etc, in such harms way without facing the consequences??

First of all a basic understanding of economics and the creation of wealth is not rocket science. It could actually be put into terms that a five year old average child could understand. Oh, but it sounds so much nicer if you take it away from those big rich companies and hire more government employees to run you life.

Secondly, if a woman goes to the .Oscar’s bald, she wants to be noticed. She wants to shock, and wants the notoriety. There are great wigs and nobody would be the wiser. So all of this being offended is bull hockey. Yes, it was a tasteless, unfunny joke but if you draw attention to a difference in that venue you can expect to have comments.
