Politicians who think that victory is a matter of appealing to various identity groups may be shocked to learn that it isn’t that simple. People can’t be defined by something as basic as skin color. For instance, the assumption that blacks will always side with liberals insultingly ignores the fact that human beings of all colors hold a wide range of beliefs. For instance, liberals who compare gay rights to the civil rights movement of the 1960s have been met with angry pushback for trying to equate sexual behavior with something over which people have no control: their skin color.

Now, a new twist: this morning, a group of black Christian leaders gathered outside the Supreme Court to voice support for Jack Phillips, the white Christian baker from Colorado who is being put through a legal wringer for turning down a same-sex wedding job. Declaring, “We’ve got your back, Jack,” and “Gay is not the new black,” the protesters made it clear that to them, identity group politics do not outweigh the First Amendment right to practice your religious beliefs without fear of being persecuted by the government.

That’s the problem with trying to succeed by dividing Americans into warring groups. People aren’t one-dimensional. They fit into lots of groups, sometimes ones you don’t expect. In fact, assuming that people think a certain way on issues just because of their skin color is…dare I say it?...racist.

I am a white man who grew up in a very white New England neighborhood. I have been married forty years to a girl I met at the end of the Vietnam War. I was a lost soul in those days. My wife helped turn my life around. And I shall never forget, at the start of our life together, when we were so very poor with a very young family, the black minister in Arizona, who could give us no money to help on our travels, but gave us the greatest gift he could give: he turned me back to reading the Bible. And that has made all the difference.

So true, we all fit into different groups, some of my ideas may be thought liberal.

My mom does not have access to real news, but she gets a lot of mail from christian causes. She voiced concern to me just yesterday over this baker, I will be so glad to tell her about these pastors.
    P.s. your daughter is awesome

As a matter of fact a christian is first a child of God and then comes all the rest.

The media will find far less relevant issues to endlessly discuss. The natural rights of every citizen and sojourner are affected by this.

    Dear Gov. Huckabee,

I am a persecuted Christian in America living in Co. Springs, Co.

The wicked in the government are responsible-from Bush, Clinton,Obama, the F.B.I. (originally), the N.S.A., and, now, and for many years, the C.I.A.

They have even blocked me from contacting Mr. Trump when i made a very brief reference to this in a recent message.

The wicked constantly hack my electronic devices, and abuse me and my belongings-thefts, tainting of cups & liquids, chemical, bad tasting additives to my toothbrush-are just some of over 100 sinister clandestine things they do to me! They regularly perform home invasions when i am gone. What's worse is the high tech attacks they do to my body & mind! If you think they don't have technology to do this-think again-just read some of Grant Jeffrey's books. He liked research. His last name may be spelled "Jeffries"-can't remember for sure, but, i think the first one is the accurate one.

The wicked love doing this for 2 reasons: 1. I am poor & needy-(mentally & emotionally disabled. 2. The wicked are not worried, because it is publically recorded i have at least one commitment to a mental hospital on record, and, therefore, officially, have no credibility. We know Biblically, that the wicked prey on the poor & defenseless-"it's in their DNA"-and, we also know they spy on the righteous, and persecute the poor & needy, (NASB, KJV)

I doubt you'll get this, but, if you do, anything you can do to help is appreciated. You can always pray, if Spirit led.
