I’ve finally figured out how to make the media say really nice things about Republicans.  After watching the glowing and may I add, the deserved tributes to our 41st President, George Herbert Walker Bush from the media this week, and remembering the kind and effusive praise they also lavished on Senator John McCain after his death, I realize that the one way to get the press speaking with adoration toward a Republican is for that Republican to either die or say something really nasty about the current President.  For those who thought that former President Bush had a cozy and sweet relationship with the press during his long and storied career, think again.  He was deemed insincere for taking the Vice Presidency after being harshly critical of Ronald Reagan’s economic plans; he once threw Newsweek reporters off of Air Force One after they treated him pretty much like they treat the current President and for that matter, like they’ve treated every other Republican President in my lifetime.  He exchanged heated and terse comments with a number of reporters, including Dan Rather of CBS.  He was called wimpish by the media, despite the fact that he was a true, honest to God war hero, having been shot down during a mission as a young Naval aviator, and was rescued by a US Submarine before the Japanese got to him.  He was gracious, thoughtful, and diplomatic to be sure, but there wasn’t much wimpish about him.  He was tough political pro, and he built an impressive coalition of countries to stop Saddam Hussein’s brutal invasion of Kuwait.  He was an effective leader in legislation, though not given nearly the credit he deserves for some real legacy items, among them the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act.  His management of the post cold war realignment in the former Soviet Union and Europe is greatly under-appreciated in that when brutal communist governments collapsed and the Berlin Wall came down, the world did not degenerate into a world war or even civil war within the various countries who moved from dictatorship to freedom.  Sure, the press spoke of some of those things this week, but do your own research and go back and see how the media treated the 41st President when he was alive and in office or even running for office.  Don’t get me wrong—I’m glad the media spent this past week remembering this leader’s legacy of leadership and statesmanship.  But for them to pretend that they have always treated him with even a hint of that respect is just plain laughable.  One of the reasons the news media is held in such contempt by many of us is not just their blatant and unabashed bias, but because of their shameless hypocrisy in moments like these.    I’ve been reminded this week not to be very  concerned if the media scorches me or other conservatives for our beliefs.   One day, when I die, they might even be forced to say something nice.  But I’m also reminded that if we are to take them seriously, they need to start acting like objective observers detached from their own opinions and personal views and tell the story straight and honestly.  In the meantime, when it comes to President George Herbert Walker Bush, they finally got it right this week, even though he had to die for them to tell it.

Please forgive misspelling when I David was sharing the word of GOD for our mutual edification in Ephesians 4:11-15 in which I David meant to write in Ehesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the SON of GOD unto a perfect man unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of CHRIST not statue? We absolutely don't want to make ourselves a statue of CHRIST? That would not be good in the sight and Heart of GOD too say the least! We don't want anyone to worship us at all in to worship our most beloved GOD our FATHER and most beloved SAVIOR and LORD JESUS CHRIST by HIS SPIRIT in Spirit and in Truth. GOD BLESS you richly Mike Huckabee May the LORD BLESS and Keep you
    Peace and Love to you

And HE gave some apostles some prophets and some evangelist and some pastors and teachers for the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry for the edifying of the body of CHRIST: Till we all come in the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the SON of GOD unto a perfect man unto the measure of the statue of the fullness of CHRIST: that we henceforth be no more children tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the sleight of men and cunning craftiness whereby they like in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love may grow up into HIM in all things which is the HEAD even CHRIST Ephesians 4:11-15 Wherefore putting away lying speak every man truth with his neighbor for we are members on of another Ephesians 4:25
For we are not as many which corrupt the word of GOD but as sincerity but as of GOD in the sight of GOD speak we in CHRIST Second Corinthians 2:17 GOD BLESS you brother Mike Huckabee Keep on keeping on fighting the good fight of faith May the LORD our GOD and FATHER continue to fill you and ANOINT you and fill your Heart and Soul with HIS SPIRIT of Wisdom, Knowledge, and Understanding according to Proverbs 2:6 and James 1:5 Job 12:13 and HIS divine Wisdom according to first Corinthians 2:6-16 and HIS spirit of Wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of HIM to know HIM and the hope of HIS calling and exceeding greatness of HIS POWER toward us who believe which is like the working of HIS POWER that raised CHRIST from the dead and set HIM at HIS OWN right hand in the Heavenly places Ephesians 1:15-21 Also read Philippians 1:9, Colossians 1:8-14 and Colossians 2:2,3 Peace and Love to you

    Hi Mike,
I just finished your book: A Simple Christmas. It was an uplifting book, I loved learning more about you, your Wife, and also had laughed on many occasions, but I once started wheaping when you talked about your father end of life, the last page or so was very emotional for me. I love watching you on TV! Bless you and all your family! Sarah is also very strong woman, she is amazingly strong and smart!
    Merry Christmas!??
