A Tsunami Of Bad News For Democrats

Some new polls bring a tsunami of bad news for Democrats. They show that even with the combined propaganda might of the government, the media and social media, you can’t pull the wool over the eyes of most Americans. You can bully some into not saying what they’re thinking, but you can’t keep them from thinking it. And eventually, they’ll get sick enough of being bullied and yell what they're thinking into your face.

First up, a new Trafalgar Group poll finds that 56.5% of Americans don’t believe that Joe Biden is fully executing the duties of his office. That even includes 31.7% of Democrats. Only 36.4% believe Biden is fully in control. These people are also known as “Americans who’ve never watched a Joe Biden press conference.”

Related: No, despite what Biden told the World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers Friday, he did NOT hit a 368-foot home run off the right centerfield wall of RFK Stadium in his second Congressional baseball game in 1974. He actually singled out twice, and it wasn’t even played in RFK Stadium. The White House had no comment, and neither did the media. You can imagine the howls of “Lying liar!!!” if Trump had said that, but with Joe, they just assume he confused himself with Mark McGwire and move on.

On to the other polls: A Washington Post/ABC News poll (so I assume it’s heavily slanted left) still found that 51% of Americans disapprove of how Biden is handling the border, with only 33% thinking he’s doing a decent job.

Democrats may be shocked by a new Pew Research poll that shows how many black Americans identify as conservative, moderate or Christian (80%...hardly a shock to me); how many Republican ideas like charter schools and voter ID that they support; and how strongly opposed they are to crazy leftist ideas like defunding the police.

A poll by Forbes/Tate Partners finds overwhelming disapproval by Americans of the Democrats’ “PRO Act” that would kill contract and gig jobs, eliminate right-to-work laws and force workers to pay union dues.

A new poll by Heritage Action finds that 64% of Americans oppose defunding the police (I’m surprised it’s not higher), and only 31% believe the handling of crime is better under Biden. I’m assuming those 31% are criminals.

Finally, and most encouraging for the 4th of July, an Issues & Insights/TIPP poll found that most Americans aren’t ashamed of this nation. In fact, they’re rightly proud to be Americans. 44% say they are “extremely proud,” 23% are “very proud,” 15% are “moderately proud,” 8% are “slightly proud,” and the big voting bloc that the Democrats are aiming for, those who are “not at all proud to be Americans,” comprise 6%.

Despite all the assaults on America as irredeemably racist, 55% of blacks and 57% of Hispanics say they are either “very” or “extremely” proud to be Americans. Only 7% and 9%, respectively, are not proud. They are also known as “CNN commentators.”

Surprisingly, despite the far-left bent of universities and the media's dissing of “low information” patriotic Americans, 75% of college graduates are proud to be Americans compared to 62% of those with only a high school diploma.

It’s worrying that the only group where a majority are not very or extremely proud to be Americans (36% total) are young people aged 18 to 24. I assume this reflects the corrosive miseducation they’ve received from leftist schools, media and social media. That problem urgently needs to be corrected by reforming schools and reining in social media. Let’s hope that the current badly-educated generation will come to their senses once they’re far enough away from the campuses and get enough experience with real life to have some sense knocked into them.

    No worries for Democrats. Who controls the media? Who controls the fraudulent voting machines? Who "employs" the vote counters? Who runs the high speed copy machines? Who owns the judges? Like I said, "No worries". Like the GOP is going to do anything about this. They are hiding in the corner hoping to not offend some media puke.

    I believe as you do, support all you say, and am super-proud to be an American. But it's not enough to stand up and crow about my pride, or to "be in favor" of conservative ideals. We need actual THINGS TO DO and specific ACTIONS TO TAKE. Anything you can provide in this way will be helpful.

    Also, I doubt Trump can win again, and suspect he's still polarizing enough to fan old flames from 2020. However, he would make a superb king-maker behind Tim Scott or Allen West. I'd LOVE to see a black president who would actually work at uniting blacks and whites in America.

    I just watched that Campus Reform video. GOOD GRIEF!!
    I taught school for many years and still sub occasionally. I thank God my grandkids and the kids from the orphanage attend a Christian school with a real teaching curriculum! (they use the Abeka video school program as we are in Mexico) God help the public schools in the USA. They are failing in such a terrible way!

    What worries me the most is the poisoning our young people with this CRT crap! In my opinion we need to teach them how our country was founded and that as time went on changes were made, but history is simply that, history! To try and change it is lying to the youth. We should teach how proud we are to be living in the greatest country of all time and to respect our elders and those serving and protecting us from harm. We also need to teach how important it is the have a secure border like every other civilized country in the world. In my opinion Joe Biden and his administration have defiled his oath to protect us. Also, we should teach our youth that is ok to have dissenting opinion as long as you cannot back it up with facts.

    I totally agree with your assessment of the polls—living in rural Minnesota it has been my observation that only the University staff and students in our small town actually support any of the extreme decisions of the current administration, and everyone I consider friends are appalled by what has been happening in this country since the election we feel was seriously compromised!

    Personally, I believe Jesus is LORD and ultimately in control—I am just concerned that if we do not repent, and reinstate God in His proper place, He may give us enough rope to hang ourselves as a nation!

    This CRT did not just start. My husband and I lived in a suburban community in Cincinnatii! In 1970. We were attending meeting there to listen to a Black Minister. We heard him spew this doctrine. The rest of the white people there stood up clapping. We did not- recognizing what it was. There was an area with black people there. Their children went to our schools, our girl and boys sours too. When some black friend were riding in my car with us my daughter said I am going to bunk with you! They said NO!

    Great comments Mike on the new polls showing the idiocy and counter productive efforts of the Left to ruin our country with their insane and inane ruinous blather is not quite completing it's destructive mission as an enemy of the state.     A friend sent me this, but I do not have source for it.
    Have you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men who
    signed the Declaration of Independence ?

    Five signers were captured by the British as traitors,
    and tortured before they died.

    Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned.
    Two lost their sons serving in the Revolutionary Army;
    another had two sons captured.

    Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or
    hardships of the Revolutionary War.

    They signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes,
    and their sacred honor.

    What kind of men were they?

    Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists.
    Eleven were merchants,
    nine were farmers and large plantation owners;
    men of means, well educated,
    but they signed the Declaration of Independence
    knowing full well that the penalty would be death if
    they were captured.
    Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and
    trader, saw his ships swept from the seas by the
    British Navy. He sold his home and properties to
    pay his debts, and died in rags.

    Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the British
    that he was forced to move his family almost constantly.
    He served in the Congress without pay, and his family
    was kept in hiding. His possessions were taken from him,
    and poverty was his reward.

    Vandals or soldiers looted the properties of Dillery, Hall, Clymer,
    Walton, Gwinnett, Heyward, Ruttledge, and Middleton.

    At the battle of Yorktown , Thomas Nelson, Jr., noted that
    the British General Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson
    home for his headquarters. He quietly urged General
    George Washington to open fire. The home was destroyed,
    and Nelson died bankrupt.

    Francis Lewis had his home and properties destroyed.
    The enemy jailed his wife, and she died within a few months.

    John Hart was driven from his wife's bedside as she was dying.
    Their 13 children fled for their lives. His fields and his gristmill
    were laid to waste. For more than a year he lived in forests
    and caves, returning home to find his wife dead and his
    children vanished.
    So, take a few minutes while enjoying your 4th of July holiday and
    silently thank these patriots. It's not much to ask for the price they paid.
