DAILY BIBLE VERSE

Update

Project Veritas released a statement on the status of their founder James O’Keefe. They confirmed that his being placed on paid leave was due to some employee complaints about his management style, but insisted that “James has not been removed from Project Veritas. Nowhere in that letter was there ever a suggestion to remove James from the organization." They also deny that the move was due to fear of reprisal from Pfizer or pressure from any political actor. Terrifying thought

Not that there would ever be any good day to tweet the terrifying thought, “As California goes, so goes the world,” but California Gov. Gavin Newsom really picked the wrong day.

https://twitchy.com/dougp-3137/2023/02/15/gov-gavin-newsoms-as-calif-goes-so-goes-the-world-tweet-backfires-just-a-little/

Newsom was touting the fact that the European Union just voted, like California, to ban gas-powered cars by 2035. I guess he’s happy that the Europeans have taken a leap into the same denial of reality he has, since neither California nor Europe has enough power even to keep the lights on now, but they think they’ll have enough in just a few years from sunshine and windmills to power their entire fleet of vehicles.

Newsom’s tweet was greeted with the responses it deserved, like wondering if the EU will also follow Newsom’s lead in releasing violent felons, allowing homeless camps to take over Europe and driving away the middle class (while they’re still able to drive.)

Speaking of the latter, Newsom chose to brag about California’s bold leadership on the very day that Census figures revealed that from April 2020 to July 2022, California’s population lost a net half million people.

https://www.foxnews.com/us/california-loses-500000-residents-2-years-americans-flee-high-costs-covid-restrictions

While California is still the state with the largest population, it’s no longer the state that everyone wants to move to. Because of people fleeing the crime, homelessness, sky-high taxes and costs of living, irrational and iron-fisted COVID policies and other leftwing craziness, the number of people leaving surpassed the number moving in by over 700,000 for a new population loss of 500,000. Californians are bugging out for states like Nevada, Utah and Texas. New York had the second-greatest loss of residents with 485,000, I assume most of whom fled to Florida or Georgia.

In fact, Utah was ranked as the fastest-growing state because of so many California expatriates moving there. They’re causing issues with housing and water supplies, prompting Republican Gov. Spencer Cox to urge Californians to “stay in California instead of coming as refugees to Utah.”

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/utah-gop-governor-californians-fleeing-his-state-due-crime-taxes-stay-california

I’ve long predicted that if brokers and other white collar workers ever realize that they could do their jobs on a computer from a beautiful house overlooking the ocean in sunny Florida that costs the same as a cramped apartment in dirty, chilly, over-taxed, crime-ridden New York City, it will spell the beginning of the end of the Big Apple as a major center of commerce. We might be seeing that starting to happen in both New York and California, where politicians like Gavin Newsom prove that with enough leftwing policies, it’s possible to make even a sunny paradise intolerable.

I just keep waiting for the day when Californians finally realize that they could stay right where they are and enjoy paradise again, simply by changing the way they vote.

“Gun Free Zones”

It took the New York Times two years to realize that Hunter Biden’s laptop was actually Hunter Biden’s laptop, so I guess we shouldn’t be surprised that it’s taken them this long to concede that posting signs reading “Gun Free Zone” does not prevent criminals from using guns there.

https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/matt-margolis/2023/02/13/the-new-york-times-has-an-embarrassing-epiphany-about-gun-free-zones-n1670169

Quite the opposite, in fact. From the article by Matt Margolis at PJ Media: “According to a 2018 study by the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC), a whopping 97.8% of mass shootings over a 68-year period occurred in “gun-free zones.”

If “Gun Free Zones” worked, all you’d have to do to end New York City’s crime wave would be to plaster the town with signs reading “Crime Free Zone.” Not only would that not work, but someone would steal all the signs.

Twitter trickery

It takes a genius level of trolling to trick the pro-abortion crowd into retweeting a Twitter thread for which they read only the first tweet, not realizing it went on to become a chilling, detailed lesson on Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger’s history of promoting racist eugenics to “purify” the human race.

This is something I want you to remember – in fact, bookmark it and be ready to share with any Republican who tells you in 2024 that it doesn’t matter which party controls the White House or Senate.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/biden-schumer-victory-lap-confirming-100th-judicial-nominee-vow-court-overhaul

Chuck Schumer is celebrating the Senate confirming its 100th federal judge nominated by Joe Biden and vowing to pack the courts with even more leftwing activists who will be rewriting laws, crushing your rights and releasing criminals into your neighborhoods for the rest of their natural lives. I hope everyone thinks about that before casting a vote or deciding to sit another election out.

The problem with people moving from California to other states is the first thing they try to do is change the state they moved to to the image of California. I recall a conversation (Argument really) I had with a checkout clerk at the local supper market who was complaining about local politics and said it would not be like that in California. I quickly asked why if she liked California so much did she leave? She promptly replied I could not afford to live there any more!! Argument won.

Just a thought. With all that is going on with balloons and some may well be Balloon Hobby Clubs. Why not have the FAA put a temporary ground halt on them until we get this whole thing sorted out? Most likely this is what has been flying over China too. Hobby or not it's still an incursion of China's air space without China's permission. And I find it amazing one of them has not been sucked into a jet engine yet.

I see Nikki Haley is in the race for the next presidential election. Would she compete with Donald Trump in primaries if Trump makes a run again? Outside of that question I think she would make a very good president.

CA has a commitment to EV's but none for the Congo workers mining the Cobalt for those essential batteries. So much for environmental equity.

To announce 1000 train derailments a year as common events is treasous to allow towns and ground water and air to be filled with poison is an act of domestic violence brought to the US from the railroads itself and without penalty to my point to incarceration. Just maybe safety measures might be followed. or did anyone think someone terrorist are causing the destructive flow of our trains. A lot of food processing plants are victims of fire and explosions in the last 2 years any reason why the last 2 years?????????????

Is it possible that the resident nit wit in the WH could possibly wake up his secretary of transportation and tell it trains are derailing at least 2 times day and just maybe it could find a reason for it and just maybe fix the problem or maybe just have it make sure our airlines are ready for the summer schedule or just make sure our trucking industry is improving and just maybe check in on our shipping ports are operating at 100% Wake up nitwits its only been 2 years of sleepy hollow is it to much to have you do your job the honey moon been over for two years This message is like a fart in the wind to these NITWITS!!

Just for the record, Californians didn't vote for outlawing gas-powered cars. Newsom dictated it as an edict.
