I hate to bring up last week’s controversy again, about me resigning from the CMA Foundation after a music executive who is intolerant of Christians and conservatives accused me of intolerance. But this is very important and needs to be said.

I thanked everyone who voiced displeasure with the CMA, but I asked my fans please not to take out their anger on the CMA, which does excellent work to help bring music to school kids. Now, it’s just come to my attention that Jason Owens, a young country singer from Kentucky, has been the innocent recipient of a lot of online attacks, just because he has a name very similar to that of the executive who targeted me, whose name is Jason Owen.

Commentary continues below advertisement

This young man says he’s just a musician: he keeps politics out of his shows and only wants to entertain people. I’m very sorry that some people mistakenly targeted him. I don’t want anyone doing that, even to the person who really did protest me!

This story carries two important lessons: Get your facts right and don’t believe everything you see on the Internet. And bullying people is always the wrong thing to do.

I think a really great thing to do would be to pay to download some of this young man’s music!

The intolerant person makes his living off of people who like and buy country music. Since his clients don't want to have an honorable man on the board of the foundation maybe the clients should be hit in the pocketbook because their product doesn't sell. I support economic sanctions.

You Mr. Huckabee are a Godly man. I love country music also. There are always those who had rather sow discord than common sense. Thank you for letting this roll of one shoulder and slide off the other. You are so much more man than the one who was rejecting you will ever be. He is a poor excuse for a man. Thank You for Being You. God Bless You and Yours Today and Forever. God Bless America.

Poor Jason Owens. He's such a talented Man. It's a doggone shame that your followers would bully an innocent up and coming Kentucky country music star because they thought he was intolerant of your obvious love of Jesus. Let's face it, Mike. You must be living a godly life to suffer such persecution. Perhaps you could do what Paul suggested to the Corinthians in Two Corinthians 12:10. Take pleasure in infirmity, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. Practice what you preach for God's sake. Quit lying to your sheep about persecutorial delusions. In short, just be a human. BE A MAN!

Sorry Governor, I disagree with you. I'm with Dr. King, the CMA has seen my last penny and the bit respect from me.

Sam Nunberg just "warned" Sarah Huckabee Sanders to "shut up." It sounded like a threat to me. Check it out on Ari Melbourne's The Beat. MSNBC, you know Satan's channel. Sarah is a beautiful Christian woman and does not deserve to be threatened.

Mike, I am a long time fan and lived in Nashville for 8 years I love that city and I love country music. I don't necessarily agree with all you say, but I defend your right to your beliefs. As such, I also abhor bullying in any form. Jason Owen (not the singer) is a bully. Unfortunately the only thing that people like him listen to is the almighty dollar. Therefore; Monument Records and the artists on that label will not receive one penny from me or my family. I want you to know that I do not believe we should legislate everything; small government! therefore in the issue of abortion and gay marriage; I disagree with you on promoting laws. I think that is between God and the person. However; I think you would have served well on the CMA board.

Bless you Governor. End times are here and we all have to hang on to Jesus but know that you know this.
