Today's Commentary: Bernie Sanders lets the cat out of the bag -- Putin's ties with the Left -- President Trump's suggestion -- Special Counsel please -- Powerful testimony -- News Bits
I told you last week that when Republicans failed to keep their promise to repeal and replace Obamacare with market-based, patient-centered health care, and they started in with the balloon juice about working with the Democrats to hear their ideas, that the idea they would push would be a complete government takeover of health care. A Republican even put up an amendment to endorse single-payer government health care, and it got not a single vote from Democrats because, while they pine for it like teenage girls swoon for Justin Bieber, they couldn’t admit it publicly. At least, not until the Republicans imploded on their Obamacare repeal promise.
But now, Bernie Sanders is letting the cat out of the bag, telling CNN’s “State Of The Union” that “Of course we are” working on a single-payer health care bill that would amount to “Medicare for all,” and as soon as it’s ready, they’ll launch a national campaign for it. He said, “We should...move in the direction of every other major country.” Just be careful you don’t collide with all the people who are moving in this direction to get the life-saving care their government health bureaucrats denied or put them on a deadly waiting list for…that is, if they weren’t barred from coming here at all to seek medical treatment, as we’ve just seen in the UK.
Click the link to note how deftly Bernie sidesteps issues like the ruinous cost of single-payer plans that couldn’t even be made palatable in the far-left states of Vermont and California. And when the big Democratic push for “free government health care” begins, remember these two old jokes: “America can’t impose Canadian-style health care because then where would Canadians go when they need a doctor?” And “If you think health care is expensive now, just wait until it’s free.” The jokes that last are funny because they’re true.
Putin's ties with the Left
By Mike Huckabee
It’s odd how there’s so much fake news that the media jabber on about for hour after hour, while major stories are festering right under their noses and they hardly even notice them. I guess a non-story about an elephant is just a lot more interesting than a real story about a donkey. But the anti-elephant/pro-donkey bias has become so blatant that a lot of people are starting to tally up all the ways in which the right side gets the microscope while the left side gets the blindfold. For instance, totally unproven Russian collusion is worth 24-hour coverage and possibly disastrous sanctions if the suspects are Trump staffers. But what about Vladimir Putin’s deep and well-verified ties to the other side, the one that suddenly became so paranoid about Russia after nearly a century of defending it?
President Trump's suggestion
By Mike Huckabee
President Trump laid into the Republican Senate Saturday, urging them to do away with the filibuster rule requiring 60 votes to pass most bills. He said 200 great GOP bills are languishing because eight Democrats control the Senate. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has refused to make the change, probably because it would take away Republican power when they return to the minority, although Trump predicted that if the Democrats came back into power, they’d change that rule in the first minute anyway. He’s probably right. And ironically, allowing eight Democrats to control the Senate agenda might be the best way to insure that Republicans return to the minority.
Special Counsel please
By Mike Huckabee
Republican members of the House Judiciary Committee have formally called on the Justice Department to appoint a second special counsel to investigate allegations of collusion and cover-up during the 2016 election. I’m sure Democrats were thrilled to hear that, until they saw that the second special counsel would investigate the allegations involving Hillary Clinton, James Comey and former Attorney General Loretta Lynch. New paradigm: “Move along, nothing to see here!...”

Today’s Must-Read: A Christian office worker who desperately needed a job took an administrative position at a Planned Parenthood clinic. After four months, she called in to a radio talk show because she was so disturbed by what she’d seen and so worried about how her job was corroding her life and her soul. She learned what Planned Parenthood staffers tell patients compared to what they really do and think. She said it’s not like they say it is on TV news and at the marches, “it's what the pro-life people say…They are telling the truth. It is what they say, how horrible it really is, and that is coming from inside. I have seen it."
If you want to hear her testimony of what she saw and why she feels the need to escape to save her soul, steel yourself and click the link. And if you’re going through the same panic and despair, read to the bottom for a link to a ministry that helps abortion industry workers get out.
Question: if President Trump specifically talks about fighting the vicious, violent illegal immigrant drug gang MS-13, and liberals accuse him of insulting all Hispanics – implying that they think all Hispanics are members of a vicious, illegal immigrant drug gang – just who, exactly, is the racist here?
Why much of what you think you know about organic foods may be 100% pure, all-nature cow manure.
One picture is worth 1,000 words, but this one will counteract a million negative words you’ll hear in the media today.
