Supporters of Planned Parenthood get their backs up like alley cats when anyone dares to bring up the alleged eugenics sympathies of their founder, Margaret Sanger, or suggests that she backed abortion rights as way to reduce the population of undesirables, including black people. But whether that was her admitted intention or not, it’s certainly been the result of legalized abortion.
According to the CDC, over 35% of all babies aborted are black, even though blacks make up only about 13% of the population. The black abortion rate is about three times that among white mothers. About 900 black babies are aborted every day in the US. Over 16 million black babies have been aborted since Roe v. Wade in 1973, making abortion a bigger taker of black American lives than all other causes of death combined. And you wonder why Planned Parenthood tends to put its clinics into minority neighborhoods?
Of course, PP denies that it promotes abortion to black women. But what then to make of these recent PP messages on Twitter from Planned Parenthood Black Community?
"If you're a Black woman in America, it's statistically safer to have an abortion than to carry a pregnancy to term or give birth. #Scary Stats…Between 1998-2015, 16.1mil women accessed abortion care, 108 died. Btwn 2011–'13, BW accounted for 43.5 deaths of every 100,000 live births."
In case you can’t decipher all the Twitter abbreviations, they’re basically promoting the idea that more black women die in child birth than in abortion, so why not play it safe and abort your child? Of course, statistically, you could say that abortion is safer than child birth for all women. So why specifically target black women?
Reaction to the tweets, not surprisingly, includes such terms as “vile” and “disgusting.” Which Planned Parenthood Black Community brushed off as the comments of “trolls.” Just wondering: what would the left’s reaction be if the KKK issued a series of tweets encouraging black women to abort their babies? Would they demand that the KKK get federal funding?
