Wow, is there anything President Trump can’t do? First, the media attacked him for falsely saying there was a terrorist attack “last night” in Sweden (he actually said no such thing, and he claimed the reference to “last night” just meant that he’d seen a TV report then about the spike in rape and other crimes in Sweden since the big influx of migrants, which is true). The media barely had time to accuse him of making up fake news (and that’s their job!), when a riot in an immigrant community in Sweden inconveniently broke out the next night, with 10 cars burned and police injured. Some wags suggested that Trump must be psychic, or have a magic TV that lets him see tomorrow’s news today.
But the New York Times has another explanation: Trump caused that riot in Sweden! Their story on the riot claimed that his “antagonizing” comments “were greeted with anger in Sweden,” resulting in a violent clash between masked men and police.
It’s not exactly clear how the New York Times reporters could possibly know the motivations of some anonymous, masked rioters over 3900 miles away, or why anyone in Sweden would want to attack police officers, riot and commit arson just to demonstrate how wrong Trump was for allegedly accusing them of being violent. It’s just one of those things that only the superior intellects at the New York Times can understand. Say, maybe they’re the ones who are psychic!
