Can’t stand to watch one more minute of hearings on TV? I get that. Still, Wednesday is the day to set those feelings aside and tune in to FOX News’ coverage of the Horowitz Senate testimony.
IG Michael Horowitz has at last released his report on the FBI’s abuse of the FISA court to justify surveilling Trump's campaign in 2016 (and continuing their spying into 2017). His testimony under questioning from Republican Senators such as Lindsay Graham should be eye-opening. So my staff researchers have put together a “prep list” of choice commentaries and video for you to read and watch.
First of all, since you probably haven’t had time to wade through the entire report, this will be helpful: investigative reporter John Solomon has taken Horowitz’ own words and assembled “The Comey FBI’s 17 worst failures, inaccuracies and omissions flagged in the Russia FISA report.” Most of these have already been covered at some time or another in the Huckabee newsletter, as we’ve been following the hoax closely for a long time, but here they are all together, as a sort of “Cliffs Notes” version of the report. Again, this is no fuzzy paraphrase or biased interpretation; it’s Horowitz’ conclusions as he expressed them himself. Highly recommended.
If you’re curious to see what the mainstream media are doing with the Horowitz report, and you don’t mind risking your head exploding (I can’t make any guarantees), contrast the Solomon piece you’ve just read with the following story from USA TODAY, which simply presents the Democrat-sanctioned version of Horowitz’ conclusions. Warning: there are countless lies, spins and inaccuracies in this account. My researchers could literally spend all night going back and correcting all the “journalism,” but they tell me it’s just not worth the effort because if you are a regular reader of the Huckabee newsletter, you can probably spot fake news of this type a mile away, all on your own.

Oh, and former FBI Director James Comey has wasted no time in using the “media” version of the report to let himself off the hook for outrageous misconduct and even, it appears, to justify more lying. He must think nobody’s actually reading the report and seeing all the serious stuff he so far has gotten away with. He’s claiming that he was supposed to go on FOX & Friends but that they canceled on him after the report was released; they say none of that is true. Wonder if Comey will actually go on FOX News now that Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum have both reached out to him.
To bring you back to reality after exposure to a Comey tweet, here’s the full interview AG Bill Barr did with NBC News’ Pete Williams about the IG report. How reassuring to hear from someone in Washington with a level head. It’s important to watch the whole thing.
But wait, there’s more! Mollie Hemingway at THE FEDERALIST has a great piece in which she shows how the IG report finally vindicates then-House Intelligence Committee chair (now ranking minority member) Devin Nunes for the memo he wrote two years ago about the FBI’s abuse of the FISA court, and goes on to show how the report exposes the many whoppers contained in the memo written by current committee chair Adam Schiff. At the time, the media trashed Nunes’ report –- not to mention Nunes himself –- and praised Schiff’s. If the media could see straight, they would have done the opposite. But now we can confirm: Nunes = truth; Schiff = lies.
By the way, Schiff is still lying as much as ever. Listen to what he said Tuesday about going forward with impeachment instead of waiting for the next election: “The argument ‘why don’t you just wait’ amounts to this: Why don’t you just let him cheat in one more election? Why not let him cheat just one more time? Why not let him have foreign help just one more time? That is what that argument amounts to.” Never mind that after years of exhaustive investigation, there is absolutely no evidence that Trump “cheated” in 2016 (and we know Hillary HAD foreign help). Schiff is demonstrating that this truly is a “preemptive impeachment” --- impeaching Trump for something Schiff says might happen in the future.
Moving on...after reading these excellent commentaries, I’d say you’re more than ready to settle in Wednesday and listen to Horowitz testify before the Senate. But here’s one more piece for you that’s not about the IG report --- it’s about the articles of impeachment just submitted by Nadler’s Judiciary Committee on Tuesday. Nadler reportedly started out with four articles but thought the better of it and is now down to two extremely vague charges: “abuse of power” and “obstruction of Congress.” Joel B. Pollak has written a piece called “Line by Line, a Complete Debunking of the Democrats’ Articles of Impeachment,” and that’s exactly what it is. Again, my staff could have spent the entire night producing something like this, but they are thrilled that Pollack has done all the work, and so expertly that we decided just to link to his. (Thank you, Mr. Pollack!)
His piece is a must-read. In fact, if you read anything about the horror show that is the Democrats’ pathetic push to impeach President Trump, this has got to be it. Share it with friends who are mystified by what is going on politically right now. Show it to other friends who assume Trump MUST have done something wrong for there to be so much fuss about it. Of course, much of this material is information we’ve covered over many months, but you’ve got to see it incorporated into Pollack’s spectacular line-by-line takedown of the Democrats’ lame accusations.
