This story was also covered by Tucker Carlson, and what interests me most is not the major story, but one funny detail:
It involves a lawsuit by Trump campaign associate Roger Stone, who is facing various federal charges brought by the Mueller team. His attorneys are demanding a copy of the full forensic report into the 2016 hacking of the DNC email server. If you haven’t been reading my newsletter, you might be surprised to learn that the DNC refused to let the FBI examine their allegedly hacked server. All they provided to prove that Russia hacked it was a report by a private security firm paid by the DNC.
Stone’s attorneys are demanding to see the unredacted report. The government is fighting that demand, claiming that Stone has no reason to see those parts, and besides, the redacted portions have nothing to do with any chicanery by Russia, they’re just protecting the DNC’s private information.
So please note: Democrats are trying to charge the Attorney General with contempt for not revealing the few redacted portions of the Mueller Report that he says are private information and have nothing to do with Russia…while simultaneously expecting the government to protect the redacted portions of their email server report because that’s private information that has nothing to do with Russia, trust them on this.
It’s only June, but I think we may already have a winner for the 2019 Huck’s Hypocrite of the Year Award.
