If Democrats hoped that questions about the DNC and the Clinton campaign’s funding of the oppo research firm that produced the shady Trump “Russian dossier” could just be brushed out of their laps like yesterday's breakfast crumbs, guess again. One of the few Republican Senators who can almost always be counted on to side with the Democrats on any controversial issue is Susan Collins of Maine. Sunday, she talked to CBS' "Face The Nation" about last September’s interview that Hillary's campaign attorney Marc Elias and her campaign chairman John Podesta had with the Senate Intelligence Committee. They channeled Sgt. Schultz from “Hogan’s Heroes” and claimed to “know nothing…nooooooth-ing!” about that Russian dossier. And Sen. Collins said this:
"They absolutely need to be recalled. It's difficult to imagine that a campaign chairman, that the head of the DNC would not know of an expenditure of this magnitude and significance. But perhaps there's something more going on here. But certainly it's worth additional questioning of those two witnesses."
If the Democrats have even Susan Collins thinking they deserve to be hauled into the Senate for grilling, wait until Ted Cruz shows up with a barbecue fork.
