Our Daily Verse...
On Tuesday, I brought news of some emails from the Obama State Department obtained by Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch that showed a connection between British spy Christopher Steele and Clinton allies working there. By Tuesday night, there was a lot more to this story, as Fitton appeared on Sean Hannity’s FOX News show to break brand-new details. He had just obtained even more State Department documents, these showing that the very anti-Trump Steele and Glenn Simpson of oppo-research firm Fusion GPS had SPECIAL ACCESS to an official at the State Department named Jonathan Winer, who worked under then-Secretary of State John Kerry.
In case you haven’t yet seen the Mark Tapscott article in The Epoch Times I linked to on Tuesday –- or if it’s just hard to keep track of all the players –- I’ll try to simplify what we know at this point. Winer was “the Libya guy” at the State Department. These newly-obtained documents show that after the 2016 election, Winer worked with Victoria Nuland at State and also a top aide for Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Maryland) to target President-elect Trump.
90% Don't show
By Mike Huckabee
Say, here’s a great idea: when people enter the US illegally, let’s release them on this side of the border on a promise that they will show up in court for a hearing on whether they will receive asylum or be deported. And as Dr. Phil might say, how is that workin’ out for us?
A Senate committee asked that question of Acting DHS Secretary Kevin McAleenan, and the answer was that it’s not workin’ out so good. McAleenan said that out of a recent sample of 7,000 cases, 90% of the “asylum seekers” didn’t show up in court.
Don’t worry, though: they were issued final removal orders in absentia, which means they’ll be removed if we ever find them again. That is, if they aren’t in a “sanctuary city” or “sanctuary state,” where officials deliberately block the efforts of federal immigration authorities to deport people who came here illegally and then thumbed their noses at our legal system.
A few other interesting findings shared by McAleenan: he called the situation at the border “a full-blown emergency,” with 144,000 migrants crossing the border in May alone, and 60,000 children entering DHS custody in the past 40 days. He also revealed that many of the asylum applicants who claim to have a credible fear of returning home are later found not to have a valid claim, and that only about 30% of those who cross the border are even trying not to get captured (why bother, when they know they’ll just be released in America anyway?)
Note that I said these findings were interesting. I didn’t say any of them were surprising.
Joe Biden goes to Iowa, rips off Michael Avenatti
By Mike Huckabee
Biden’s speech was filled with the red meat (or soy-based vegan meat substitute) that his crowd demands, with lots of attacks on Trump as an “existential threat” to the world (funny, I thought ISIS was an existential threat to the world, but I guess that doesn’t apply anymore since Trump took over from Obama/Biden and crushed ISIS.) Joe also unveiled his new campaign slogan: “Make America America Again.”
(In typical Biden fashion, that’s plagiarized from someone else – not only Donald Trump, but in this case, taken verbatim from much-indicted sleazy lawyer, Michael Avenatti):
More on the effort to censor conservative speech
By Mike Huckabee
It sometimes seems as if the big tech companies are taunting the government: “Go on, regulate us! Bust us up like the monopolies we are! We double-dog dare you!”
How else to explain the many recent stories of blatant bias and abuse of their platforms to censor conservative speech? Just today comes another outrageous example: Pinterest, the site that allegedly lets users “pin” or link to things they like has blocked links to the pro-life group LiveAction.org. An insider/whistleblower told the group that it was done surreptitiously by putting Live Action on a list of banned pornography-related sites, on grounds that they link to “harmful conspiracies.” That refers to the undercover videos revealing Planned Parenthood workers talking about selling harvested body parts from aborted babies - which I agree is a "harmful conspiracy," but exposing it was not.
Then when that underhanded tactic became public and Live Action appealed, Pinterest immediately issued a permanent suspension of the group’s account for allegedly posting advice that is “harmful misinformation” that might cause "immediate and detrimental effects on Pinners' health or public safety." Since Pinterest refused to respond to inquiries from Conservative Tribune, we are left to assume that they think encouraging women not to kill their babies is harmful to health and public safety, but encouraging them to dismember their children in the womb is beneficial to health and safety – not the babies’, of course.
My advice to any conservative and/or pro-life Pinterest users would be to “stick a pin in this site, it’s done.”

John Dean looks small in Watergate stunt while AG Barr casts a great big net
By Mike Huckabee
With all the news regarding investigations on both sides of the aisle, it’s hard to know where to start today. But let’s kick off with the idiocy that was the John Dean testimony before Jerry Nadler’s House Judiciary Committee, just to get it out of the way. The afternoon hearing, which Democrats actually called “Lessons From the Mueller Report,” got pre-empted on live TV by Monday’s helicopter crash in Manhattan –- which, sadly, killed the pilot and jolted the city that suffered through 9/11 –- but CNN and MSNBC will surely do what they can to milk Dean’s testimony for all it’s worth in the days ahead, using strategically edited clips to try to make this dumb hearing look like “Watergate II.
They should just let this embarrassment drop, but they’ll likely produce hour-long specials as well to run over the weekend, conveniently leaving out sharp questioning by Republicans on the committee such as Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz, who devastated Dean as a witness and made it clear we know exactly what this is all about.

If it’s even crossing your mind to ponder considering voting for Joe Biden to bring back the Obama/Biden years, here’s a stunning example of the kind of secrecy and fraud that was being perpetrated on the public back then to insure we didn’t get wise to the incredibly dangerous and wrongheaded policies that Administration was pursuing:
But never forget: Obama's Administration was "scandal-free!"
The DNC won’t allow Fox News to moderate a Democratic Presidential debate because they are biased and aren’t “real journalists.” So guess who will moderate the first debate? Hint: she’s most famous for spending the past two years going down the rabbit hole of paranoia by pushing a debunked Russian collusion conspiracy theory. I’m kind of hoping she’ll fill the entire time asking the candidates what they think about the Illuminati and the government’s suppression of that crashed flying saucer at Roswell.
And speaking of Internet censorship of free speech, the CEO of Google explained that they don’t just censor things that obviously violate their stated guidelines, but they also consider it their duty to block content “which doesn’t exactly violate policies” but which is “borderline.”
Here’s the problem with that: who decides where the “border” is and which content that lands how far on which side of the line gets censored? You can bet that with Google’s far-left corporate culture, “borderline” means anything hostile to leftist political views, which is why YouTube (owned by Google) will demonetize conservative satirist Steven Crowder for making harsh jokes about liberals, but never block Stephen Colbert or lesser-known leftist YouTubers for making vicious comments about conservatives.
The promise of the Internet was that it would be an “information superhighway.” Google became a tech giant by providing an easy roadmap to get wherever you wanted to go. But lately, Google has been increasingly taking on the role of corrupt highway patrolman who only pulls over cars with license plates from red states. They need to be reminded that when local cops start violating people’s Constitutional rights, it sometimes falls to the federal government to step in and bust them down to dog catcher duty.
We could all use a laugh or two, so here’s something guaranteed to give you one (unless you’re a humorless socialist, then you will be royally ticked off over it – but then, they’re angry about everything, so who cares?) It’s the latest video from my new favorite YouTube star, Mini-Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. (By the way, I’m linking to her Twitter page so you can follow her before she gets banned for being too effective at ridiculing socialism.)
And in case you’re wondering who this hilarious 8-year-old political satirist is, here’s an article about the clever little girl behind the giant AOC glasses.
