Hillary commits an assault on democracy

By Mike Huckabee

By the Democrats’ own standards and definitions, watch Hillary Clinton commit an assault on democracy.

Oh well, it’s hardly the first time for her. Or her supporters in the media and the Democratic Party, who spent four years trying to undermine and undo the legal results of the 2016 election.

Tip for parents

By Mike Huckabee

If you’re thinking of spending $54,000 a year on tuition and fees to send your kid to Harvard, you should probably know that they just hosted a panel that openly embraced the ideals of totalitarian communist governments.

If you want your kids to have a good paying job and not be America-hating leftist radicals, maybe consider a good trade school. One of the perks is that they’ll enjoy telling Ivy League snobs who look down on them to go fix their own A/C units or plumbing or whatever thing they need fixed that they have no useful skills to deal with themselves. This could be the coming trend, with liberal arrogance and bullying of the working classes growing exponentially.

Great quote from that article by Megan Fox: “It would behoove the wealthy whiners out there to know that skilled labor is in high demand and getting higher every day due to every suburban parent sending kids to college for useless liberal arts degrees instead of encouraging their kids into high-paying trades. That means that the skilled labor workers have the option to choose who they will help and who they won’t. I would suggest being nicer and not pushing your mask fetish on the guys who know how to stop a leaking pipe.”

Latest poll news

By Mike Huckabee

Politico obtained the results of a private poll conducted by the Democrats’ Senate Majority PAC, which is warning Democrats of serious problems ahead in 2022. That poll showed that 53% of Americans think the economy has gotten worse (only 30% think it’s improved), 56% rank inflation as the most pressing economic issue, and Biden’s approval rating is only 41%, which is dragging all Democrats down.

A new Politico/Morning Consult poll found that 62% of Americans lay a lot or some blame for rising inflation on President Biden’s policies.

Biden has now sunk so low in so many polls that for the first time, Real Clear Politics’ average of all polls shows a majority disapproving of the job he’s doing, by 52,3% to 43.2% approval.

Most stunning of all, the latest Rasmussen Reports survey of likely voters finds that 58% believe Biden is not mentally or physically up to the job of President, and 53% believe someone else is making his decisions for him.

Caveat: I always warn readers not to pay attention to polls, especially those taken well in advance of elections. It’s good to see polls going your way, but if we’re going to save America, we have to volunteer, work, donate and vote as if they’re not.

Veteran reporter ends her career over vaccine mandate rules

By Mike Huckabee

A veteran TV news reporter in St. Louis says her career has been ended by ridiculous vaccine mandate rules. She received a religious exemption from her employer, but they added so many draconian conditions that it became impossible to do her job. Read what the TV station is demanding of employees. It will make you wish there was a vaccine to prevent hysteria.

The ongoing assault on proper grammar

By Mike Huckabee

These days, Democrats think everything is an “assault on democracy” (except when they gerrymander districts, attack federal buildings and try to rig elections.) But why do they never protest the ongoing assault on proper grammar? Here’s the latest skirmish: the State Department’s celebration of “International Pronouns Day,” marking the trend of people demanding that we all learn and call them by their preferred pronouns, whether they make any logical or biological sense whatsoever.

The tweet is illustrated with a cartoon that is supposed to show what we’re all celebrating but that looks more like a grade school test to find out if students understand how pronouns work. Or at least how they used to work, back when they were tied to reality. All I can say about whoever created this tweet is that they is unhinged.

By Mike Huckabee

Yet another “unintended consequence” of the draconian lockdowns and other anti-COVID measures that may have been worse than the disease: they led to a significant spike in child sexual exploitation.

Personal memories of Betty Lynn

Blogger Mark Evanier has written some personal memories of his lifelong neighbor and surrogate aunt, Betty Lynn, most famous as Thelma Lou on “The Andy Griffith Show,” who just passed away at 95. If you love Mayberry and/or inside stories of old Hollywood, it’s a fascinating read, and it makes you appreciate what a wonderful person she must've been off-screen.

A third season is coming

By Mike Huckabee

“The Chosen,” the terrific crowd-funded TV series on the life of Christ, is getting ready to air its third season. At the link is a video in which writer/director Dallas Jenkins offers a sneak peek into what’s ahead.

If you haven’t seen this series, you need to catch up on it. A while back, Dallas Jenkins and Jonathan Roumie, who portrays Jesus, were my guests on “Huckabee” on TBN. Here’s that interview, and I know you’ll want to watch it after you see this:

The spin machine cranks into high gear to save Biden

By Mike Huckabee

The Biden-protecting media outlets are in a dither trying to spin this Administration as successful, popular and competent. You almost have to admire their creativity, given what they have to work with. For instance, the liberal site Axios came up with a novel spin: they blame the worker shortage on employees quitting because they don’t want to deal with customers angry over long waits, mask mandates and other problems. The Wall Street Journal begged to differ.

By the way, there’s an easy way to spot that this explanation is coo-coo: Just think about it for a minute. So the reason there’s a shortage of workers is that workers are quitting because they’re tired of dealing with customers who are angry about the long waits due to the shortage of workers?...

    1. expects me to sign up first. I'm choosy about where my email address goes.
    2. The snowflakes who are quitting are the dregs, anyway. The ones who know their job and are good at it are sitting home, being paid better by Briben. The ones who think I'm rude and and angry don't understand that I am the customer. I shouldn't have to track them down, be ignored, and then be treated in a condescending manner. I never threaten them physically. I just find the exit and go look for a business that wants my patronage. Most of them are out of what I need, anyway.

    Dear Gov. Mike:
Why not start a pool to bet on the date Obama will have his puppet removed and install Harris in his place? Before Jan. 1? Before the State of the Union? After the mid-terms? Some other date?

Why does anyone think that it is wise to teach young children the mechanics of sex? Why do they need to be burdened with these adult concerns before there is a need. When they are nearing puberty it’s a good time to address anatomy and safety. It is, even then, not necessary to address all of the mechanics. It is enough to address anatomy and the purpose and reactions of our parts. Why not teach, and encourage, courtesy and respect to all people, regardless of their skin color, sex, sexual preferences, physical abnormalities, and religious beliefs. Since the beginning of time men and women have been able to figure out sex without a recipe book. It is more important to teach safety from disease and preventing pregnancy than the details of how to make babies or have pleasure. Why must we feel the need to tear down a child’s perception of themselves by telling them they are sinful exploiters or conversely victims? What good can that possibly do except to divide people making them feel guilty or have less confidence in their ability have a successful life? At one time we actually tried to give children a childhood free from a lot of the adult concerns. So now the idea is to make them little neurotics and encourage them to try bi-sexual and or trans experimentation. This is not healthy by any measure of decency.

My favorite Andy Griffith show with Thelma Lou was when she was Opie's girl which made Barney furious. She will be missed.
