Spoiler alert: I like capitalism, so buy my book! I’ll also talk about the left’s campaign to destroy America with Ben Shapiro. You’ll meet a Huck’s Hero chef who’s fed nearly 2 million victims of natural disasters. Then get ready to laugh with one of America’s favorite comics, the hilarious Jeff Allen. And brace yourself for a very special musical guest, the legendary Mr. “American Pie” himself, Don McLean!
Now, THAT’s a show! The show runs Sat 8/11 ET 7/10 CT but on Sunday just runs 9 ET/ 8CT; also on FB, YouTube, and a tbn.tv and huckabee.tv in addition to all broadcast, cable, Satellite, etc. To find where you can watch TBN, from local cable and broadcast channels to streaming, visit https://www.tbn.org/huckabee and click on the “WATCH” menu at the top. Here are some headlines that should have led the news on Friday:
In August, the US economy created 1.4 million new jobs and unemployment took a steep 2% drop to 8.4%, the first time it’s fallen below 10% since the economy was shut down to deal with the Chinese virus.
The White House announced a new peace agreement between Serbia and Kosovo that not only normalizes relations between those two, it includes Kosovo recognizing Israel and Serbia moving its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, something that would have been unthinkable a few years ago, until President Trump demonstrated what real leadership and keeping our promises looked like.
Ric Grenell held a press briefing on the deal and was so appalled by the dumb, politically-oriented questions that he laid into the reporters for their youth and ignorance and said he wasn’t sure they could even find Serbia and Kosovo on a map. It was epic.
Also, President Trump is back to his pre-coronavirus approval rating of 52%.
And yet, none of those major stories were what the media were talking about (well, they talked about them a little, because they had to try to find ways to convince us that massive job creation is a bad thing, like this headline from Yahoo: “Why 1.4 million jobs created in August really isn't great news.”)
No, the really important, everything-else-takes-a-back-seat story was a claim that during a trip to Europe two years ago, President Trump made disparaging remarks about the World War I soldiers in a cemetery in France. This came from the Atlantic, a magazine majority-owned by a Biden megadonor (coincidentally, the Biden campaign had an ad using it already produced within hours, almost as if there were some sort of collusion or something), and was based on four alleged anonymous sources.
President Trump immediately denounced it as offensive fake news, and already, 10 people who were on the trip and with him at the time, including my own daughter Sarah and my former campaign aide Hogan Gidley, have denounced it as total garbage. Records also disproved the article’s false claim that Trump’s trip to the cemetery wasn’t really canceled due to bad weather. Even John Bolton, who was there, admitted that he’d heard Trump say no such thing. He told Fox News’ John Roberts that if Trump had said that, there would have been an entire chapter about it in his book.
So we’re supposed to believe an outrageous, totally out-of-character quote based on anonymous sources that are contradicted by multiple on-the-record sources – all from the same media that have proven over and over again (the “very fine people” hoax, the “all immigrants are animals” lie, etc.) that they can’t even get a quote from Trump right when he says it on videotape.
And that pile of bull manure was considered the most important news from Friday, not the peace agreement that will help keep our young people alive or the great jobs news. And the media wonder why Trump calls them “the enemy of the people.”
Meanwhile, on the Democrat side, Joe Biden once again demonstrated his unfitness for the office of President by declaring that “if true,” this disqualifies Trump from being Commander-in-Chief. This has become a pattern for Biden: taking something widely discredited, waving it around as if it's an unassailable fact, and using it to declare someone guilty. I would say that his utter disregard for due process and finding out whether an accusation is true before punishing someone disqualifies him for the job of Chief Executive of the nation with a sworn duty to protect and defend the Constitution.
This is hardly the first time he’s done this. Remember during the Convention, when the press was giving him tongue baths for actually getting all the way through his speech without calling anyone a dog-faced pony soldier? Scott Adams posted a much-talked-about rant blasting Biden for claiming that he decided to run when he heard Trump say there were “very fine people” among the neo-Nazis in Charlottesville. Not only did Trump never say that, but it’s been widely debunked, even by liberal “fact-checkers.” It’s a scurrilous lie designed purely to slander the President and sow racial distrust, and yet Joe Biden openly and deliberately repeated it, and even cited it as the inspiration for his campaign. He is literally running on a scurrilous lie.
And all while trying to make the case that we should vote for him to restore "decency" to the White House.
I tried yesterday to do what Democrats claim they do and “take the high road.” I had a sleazy accusation against Joe Biden, and I chose not to give details about it. This is my standard operating procedure: I have long defended the presumption of innocence for people on both sides of the aisle, even when that was a very unpopular thing to do. But I feel that if "accusation=guilt" is the standard that Biden himself is going to apply to his opponent, then he should have to live by it, too. So here's that story, just FYI.
Three cheers for the group of black clergy who have joined together to stand up against the NBA and major corporations for showering money on BLM (an openly anti-American, anti-family, pro-Marxist group that as they say, has “"possibly [set] back racial relations for decades") while they remain silent on Chinese human rights abuses and profit off Chinese slave labor.
In a letter to the CEO of Nike, the Conservative Clergy of Color called on Nike to cut ties with BLM and China, writing, "You have been happy to play into the hands of anarchists at home and ignore slavery abroad. As leaders in the church, we can abide neither." While acknowledging that some BLM supporters have legitimate concerns, they said the group itself is a violent, radical organization that’s sowing the flames of discord and encouraging the looting of small businesses that are the backbone of our country.
I am proud to stand with these black church leaders as they bravely remind us that simply because an organization adopts an undeniable truth like “black lives matter” for its name, that doesn’t mean it is an unassailable fount of truth that can’t be challenged. To point out the ugly truth about the people behind “Black Lives Matter” does not mean you don’t believe black lives matter, and it’s great to see black church leaders standing up to them and their big media and corporate bodyguards and speaking truth to power.
NOT EVERYONE AGREES BACK AT HOME NANCY
It appears that not everyone in Nancy Pelosi’s neglected home district agrees with her that she’s owed an apology for being caught breaking the rules that she imposes on everyone else. A large group of them who have been blocked from going to hair salons just made that clear.
Here’s an excerpt that I bet makes you want to read the entire story: “’Protesters have gathered in front of Nancy Pelosi’s San Francisco home and are stringing up curlers and blow dryers on a tree after a video surfaced of Pelosi getting her hair done indoors/maskless at a SF salon…’ Video shared by the reporter shows women hanging hair dryers and an American flag from a tree on the property and calling it the ‘Freedom Tree.’”
This could mark the first time that the Tree of Freedom has been watered with the herbal rinse of a tyrant.
SAFE TO GO TO THE POLLS
If you wonder why I was one of the few people in 2016 who correctly and confidently predicted Trump’s win weeks in advance, one reason is that I didn’t take the polls at face value. I looked into the internals and compared the sample of Democrats to Republicans to the actual registration numbers. Most of the pro-Hillary polls were wildly oversampling Democrats.
As you can see at the link, not much has changed in this cycle. So don’t let the polls showing Biden in the lead discourage you; that’s exactly what they’re designed to do. But don’t let the idea that they’re phony make you complacent. We’ll need a landslide win to overcome the already-admitted margin of fraud. And vote in person, not by mail: do not trust whoever might handle your ballot between you and its destination to get it there and in its original form.
Remember, no matter what the Democrats say, if it’s safe to attend a riot, it’s safe to go to the polls.
